Absolutely disappointed with my experience with 1st Central.
I updated details on my policy honestly and correctly, and suddenly I was told I either had to pay around £250 or cancel my insurance. I spent around 4 hours on the phone trying to explain the situation and find a reasonable solution, but instead I was left feeling pressured, stressed, and with no real option.
What makes even less sense is that cancelling and starting a new policy would actually work out cheaper than keeping the current one after the changes. That alone says everything.
I understand prices can change, but the way this situation was handled was unacceptable. No flexibility, no understanding, and no realistic support for customers struggling with sudden extra costs.
This experience caused unnecessary stress and financial pressure. I would never expect such treatment from an insurance company.
Very disappointed.

Extortionate charged
My car was written off due to someone smashing into my 1.6 convertible. I bought a used small 1.2 hatchback and have 3 months car insurance left on my policy. 1st Central charged me £273 to transfer car insurance to the new car. Absolutely disgusting. How can this much be charged. This is equivalent to 6months car insurance. Will never go with them again.
