Found Richard competent and well informed. Solved my problem within minutes, whereas the person I spoke to yesterday assured me it was a server that they were working on. Told me to wait, it will rectify itself. Well, it did not rectify itself, it needed Richard to solve the problem.

The service and support at 1-Grid has improved dramatically. I have had the most incredible service recently with a super complicated issue. Everyone I spoke to was informed and really helpful. Peter in Domains was excellent and went way beyond his call of duty. I am impressed after years of massive frustration. It's wonderful to see a company improve so much around their support.

1-Grid asked me to go on social media to post about my experience and to use the names of the support staff.
Vinzenzo, Pamela and Geraldo all made multiple promises to migrate my domain to a new package. This has still not happened over 2 weeks despite 4 separate assurances that it would be done imminently.
Now their mail server for that domain is down.
Utterly useless service

Firstly I commend the agent, Mr Toto Kandjimi, who assisted me. He was very patient with me and guided me wonderfully till I got my issue resolve. In addition he tested the results several times with to ensure the system works okay.

Whenever I have an issue with my domains, I email the host, and they respond swiftly; this time, I had what I think is a significant issue, and they assigned someone to phone me.
That person was Selma Benyamen, and she was invaluable. She guided me thoroughly for two days, which were two different sessions, each one enough until she made everything okay.
I thank you for your patience, experience, and job well done.

Richard took his time , step by step to look at possible problem that we may face with our emails. He then looked at the back end on grid hosts side and found a problem there. He further went on to any desk and then got onto my lap top to set up the email address on my outlook. he did not rush the services and ensured that our company emails were up and running again.

Worst service I EVER experienced. I lost thousands of Rands with my webpage not being accessible due to your server problems and your staff not being interested to assist for 12 DAYS !!!!!!. I spent hours on the phone waiting for the calls to be picked up, then dropped, then not returned - it is INSANE. Ended up changing hosting and domain - the service is beyond shocking. No one cares - and it only affected MY pocket.
I have sent them my concerns and details a total of 16 times !

I very rarely use social media to voice my contempt at businesses who fail to deliver any service whatsoever, but this company deserves mentioning. I have had a domain parked with 1-Grid for a few months while my company built a web presence in South Africa. A week ago I requested that the domain to be transferred to another hosting provider & to date this request has gone unattended by 1-Grid. I have contacted their support and the apathy to my questions as to why this had not been actioned, is something I have not experienced before. I was told that there was a 5 day validity to the request and as the request was now 6 days old, I should request the domain transfer again with my new web hosting provider. No accountability for their inaction has been taken whatsoever!! My advice to any executive/ decision maker of a business, is to avoid this provider at all costs & look elsewhere for a reliable service.

Use 1-grid if you are on a budget and do not care much about uptime and reliability. If you have a small bed and breakfast and answer mails once a day then they are the ones for you. If you require rock solid hosting with 100% uptime, reliable email service that does not go down once a month and a spam system that does not block legit mails and let dodgy ones through then best to carry on searching elsewhere. I have been with them for over 10 years and am finally moving on after putting up with years of issues and an appalling support just because they are cheap. Support is good yes you will see from other reviews.. when you get an answer ... but mostly you wait a few days and have to follow up most of the time. I have a lot of websites to move so its going to take my December time off to make it happen but it will be worth it to not have to constantly apologise for another companys bad service. My company is better than this. I have higher standards than having a supplier like 1-grid.com
