Don't trust your heirlooms
Anglo Pacific crew were awful.
They arrived late, outside of the 'window' we had been told with no call to let us know, or a call ahead as we had asked, given items were to be moved from a busy care home.
They rushed the packing of a delicate clock mechanism - taking it away in a box with 30kg of weights included despite us asking for repacking, and they put the pendulum in the back of the van without any packing assuring us it would be well taken care of when packed for shipment
Upon our complaints, the response was from Rita (Removals Coordinator) several times, was that she would inform the operations manager!
The goods, on arrival were packed and crated (we paid extra) very well and unloaded brilliantly by the Canadian company but the damage was apparent immediately. Banged up mechanism and pendulum damaged from shifted bob.
Do not trust this company with your heirlooms - we feel doubly bad as they were gifts from an Uncle now deceased, and we thought paying a premium would get them taken care of.
We are pursuing a claim with insurance - hopefully the insurance company is onto them for their lack of expertise. Insurance is meant to cover accidental, not wilful, damage
