A Bike Thing, a great company to deal with.

I have two experiences with A Bike Thing.
Firstly, I look at many of their YouTube videos which are both full of knowledge and entertainment and give good guidance on fitments of various products, the WeiserCAN as an example, which I am about to fit on my R1300GS.
Secondly, I decided to purchase products from them, which came perfectly packaged and undamaged and all delivered as expected.

Lower Engine Crash Bars for my BMW R1300GS TE ASA

Having looked at various lower engine crash bars for my new R1300GS TE ASA, I decided to purchase the Lone Rider ones, mainly because I liked the fact that you could replace the side pads in the event of a fall. I really wanted black to match my bike but the stainless ones look ok and are a contrast with my triple black bike. Ordering was easy and they were delivered in a timely manner and tracking details were sent to me straight away. The products are first class, the fitment was easy and everything lined up perfectly. I would definitely buy from Lone Rider again and would recommend to others.

Great kit from Innovv

Having used the K2 on my last two bikes, I removed them with the view to fit on my new R1300GS, but decided to upgrade to the K7, which I am pleased that I did. As always the quality of the Innovv kit is excellent and the fastening kit is even better than the ones I had on my original K2. Great work Innovv.

Excellent Lower Crash Bars from Lone Rider

After looking at various engine crash bars for my new BMW R1300GS TE ASA I decided to purchase the Lone Rider ones. I was impressed by the online video and liked the pads on the side that would take most of the impact if I dropped the bike or had an accident. I also connected with Anna at Lone Rider who was very attentive and replied to my e-mails straight away.
I subsequently ordered the crash bars and they were delivered the next day, well packaged and I was impressed with the quality of the products. One point that I also liked when inspecting them was that the tube end that has the rubber foot on and isn't bolted to the engine, has the end of the tube capped off which gives a far better surface area against the engine, albeit it has the cover over it.
I have yet to fit these, but have every confidence with the fitment.

First impressions are important

First impressions are important and I got through on the phone very quickly, spoke to an administrator who was both knowledgeable, helpful and personable. I got better cover than my current insurer at a more competitive cost and had no hesitation in taking out a new policy. I am also impressed by the link to my policy details with a shortcut that sits in my taskbar.

London Eye was a great experience

The trip on the London Eye was fantastic as my girlfriend and I did the VIP Champagne Experience which was worth every penny. Our host was Owen, who was great, very personable and helpful and pointed out various landmarks. All in all a memorable day.

Neat and tidy installation by Ascent Energy

I recently had a Ohme car charger fitted by a representative from Ascent Energy and couldn’t fault the installation. The engineer arrived on time, carried out a neat installation and went through how to use the charger and its features. I would highly recommend using this company for anyone looking to have a car charger installed.

Energy Bureau and its Team give great service.

I have used the Energy Bureau for many years and have been dealing during that time with Harj Rai who has been extremely personable and helpful. Harj has helped me to secure reduced prices for both electricity and gas for the coming two years, so at least I have some stability with our energy costs for that coming period.

Poor service from Certas

I have used Certas for several years for both heating oil and boiler service. The boiler service side of the business is excellent, but trying to get through to customer services to order oil is terrible and the last order I placed, I was on hold waiting to speak to an advisor for over one hour, which simply is not good enough. The driver who delivered the oil was excellent and I wish I could say the same about being able to communicate with Certas. This has become increasingly worse over the last two years.

Insurance for my new motorbike

I recently purchased a new motorbike, but a well-known insurer who I was with would not insure the bike for its full value, which in my opinion is foolhardy. Being a IAM member, I approached Cornmarket and have been looked after by Sam, who answered all my concerns, gave me a competitive quote and above all treated me as a customer should be. I now have adequate insurance for my bike and have been delighted by the experience of the changeover process. I will certainly be recommending my family and friends to use Cornmarket.

First class service from Helen at Datatool

Having used Datatool Traking on my previous bike, I decided to have the Datatool Stealth fitted to my new bike that I collected on Tuesday 11th October. Helen Longthorne dealt with transferring my old subscription across to my new bike and kept me updated with the process. The service I received from Helen was excellent and everything happened seamlessly. I know this product works, as recently I received a phone call when going across the channel to France and had forgotten to inform DataTool and subsequently received a phone call to say that my bike was moving across the channel. The new app is great as it gives so much more information and access to loads of features.

Cylinder replaced under warranty.

I had to have a cylinder replaced under warranty and the engineers that carried out the work were very good, personable and helpful.
However, trying to contact Baxi to get the problem sorted has been a nightmare. I telephone, which gets answered by the system straight away, but one is then left hanging on until someone eventually answers and the time that this takes is unacceptable. You cannot get a direct line number to speak to the department dealing with the issue and not even an e-mail address and I have tried. This week I called to make arrangements for the collection of the faulty cylinder and was kept hanging on for 58 minutes until someone answered. Needless to say that unless I really have to, I will not be using Baxi again.
