Overall a good experience

Overall a good experience. Easy to locate the kiosk, no problems with the vehicle with exception that it didn't have android or apple car play. Christiano was very helpful and assisted me to return the car quickly.

Dear Andy,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us — it truly means a lot.

We’re delighted to know that your journey with YOR Car Hire was, on the whole, a pleasant one. Knowing that you found our kiosk easily and that the rental process unfolded without complications is exactly what we aim for: simplicity, efficiency, and peace of mind from the very first moment.

We also genuinely appreciate your honest remark regarding the absence of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Feedback like yours is incredibly valuable, as it helps us identify where we can grow and evolve. Enhancing our fleet to meet the expectations of our customers is an ongoing priority, and your input has been noted with great care.

We hope that, despite this small detail, your time in the Algarve was enjoyable — and we’d be thrilled to welcome you back for another smooth and even more refined experience in the near future.

Warmest regards,
Eva

Booking Protect - Practically Theft

I bought tickets for a Tough Mudder event and paid the additional refund protection fee with bookingprotect.com in case i couldn't attend the event. I work with the US Army and they notified me that my leave would be delayed by a month and thus miss the event.

So i applied for a refund, filled in there forms, to which they asked for further proof - a letter from my employer stating dates and circumstances. This in itself was annoying, my bosses and myself have better things to do when you're on military ops. The forms should be all they evidence they need.
After they reviewed my info they declined my refund because the change to working location was temporary and not permanent.

This to me is an excuse to not payout. If you can prove you cannot attend that should be enough, especially when it's to do with being in a different country for military reasons.

I would not recommend paying the additional fee for this in the future, they do not seem flexible in there terms, will disregard your personal circumstances and keep your money anway, it's practically theft.

Hi Andy I’m not able to review your refund request as we don’t have your full name. For Tough Mudder we refund for military personnel called up overseas. Tough Mudder do however offer a refund directly if you are serving military and get called up at the time of the event so we should have helped you with directing you to them. If you want us to try and help you still please contact the info@bookingprotect.com email address and say your review was on Trustpilot and you were asked to recontact us. I will ensure the info@ team to direct it to the complaints team. I hope we can put this right for you.

Terrible After Sale Service - Hidden Fees - Bad Delivery

During the purchase of the sofa at the store, i found the experience very positive, good sales staff, friendly, nice store. After sale service however has been awful, especially for how they portray themselves as being a premium retail outlet.

So firstly be very careful the sofa you choose will fit into your property, mine didn't, it went back to the depot. You cannot get a refund, as you signed a contract at the store/online which means you are then forced to pay for a different sofa and/or alter the one you want into smaller pieces (split). During this time, they can charge you a storage charge of £10 per day. Luckily i was able to pay to get my furniture altered quickly so i didn't have to pay that, but there's a 're-selection' fee for choosing a different sofa (£150) and for myself a fee to make the sofa into a split (£300)

On delivery on the sofa after the alterations my elderly mother was there to take receipt of it as i was away on work. The delivery men left the sofa in the packaging, in pieces without any instructions and expected that my mother would be able to put it together herself. At the store you are assured that the delivery men will put the sofa together for you and remove the packaging. On top of that they got my delivery wrong, and forgot about the footstool.

I emailed them twice about the footstool and the poor delivery service, and got no reply. So i began telephoning them and eventually they agreed to refund me for the footstool. I had to call them repeatedly for over a month from delivery to get the footstool refunded.

I've lost trust in sofology and there level of service and i would not recommend them, a cheaper high street store would be just as good. Ikea would be a better service and quicker too.

Edit: In response to the reply below. In store the salesman did not go through measurements in detail, and assured me the the team of delivery men would be able to get it in as they want to be able to supply the sofa, and they couldn't then they'd send another more professional team to try again. I couldn't call within 48 hours as i was on a military exercise in the middle of desert, something which the phone salesman had no consideration for. As for discussing it further, i already asked for ANY kind of compensation and received only the refund, my own money, for a footstool that never arrived.

Hi Andy

I am sorry to hear about your experience with us so far. I am also sorry to hear your furniture would not fit into your property, I understand how dissapointing this must be. We do go through measurements in precise detail at the point of sale to ensure your furniture will fit into your home. We also give you 48 hours to amend your order completely free of charge if there is any doubt.

if you would like to discuss this further, or need any further help, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. My email address is social.media@sofology.co.uk

Many thanks, Will

Poor Service & Item

Firstly the quality is TERRIBLE! Nothing like what the pictures present.

The hoodie i ordered was Medium, i received something that is more like XS, so i'll be sending it back for a refund.

The postal service is cheap, but it's super slow, 4+ weeks for delivery.

I would not buy from them again, ever.

Used Twice - Not Consistent

I have used Premier Property Lawyers (also called 1st Property Lawyers) twice now. The first time was great, everything went smoothly and was over quickly. Though it must have been helpful that everyone else was also doing their part quickly too like the council replying to searches etc.

The second time i used them, and its still ongoing has been a bit of a struggle, this is a different conveyancer with the same people, but everything is so much slower, i have to regularly phone up for updates and at one point im sure they forget to ask for searches as they took nearly 2 months to get back.

In summary, they are only as good as the conveyancer you get. In hindsight going to a local solicitor, someone you could meet face to face or someone you know with a good reputation would probably be wiser.

Edit: 1 Year Later from hiring them i'm still waiting for a document to come through.
