I have had excess insurance with icarhireinsurance for many years and haven't had to claim. I made my first claim few weeks ago. They processed and paid out the claim within 7 days. Excellent service thank you.

I have used Zest several times- The Car Hire companies they use tend to be good and ask for a lower deposit. Their Zero excess insurance only pays out if you have an accident - if the car hire company charges you a fortune for scratchesthey refused to cover it.

Still haven't received credit to my account. As I used membership it wouldn't give me option for cash at the airport

Good bits:
Level 2 trading in ISA
Same platform for Spreadbet/ISA/CFDs
Level 2 trader
Generally good company to trade with

Bad bits:
Impersonal
No/very limited IPOs
Price improvements not as good as some of the others.
Trading larger size than available with Market Makers us quite complex.


Overall it's quite a good company for ISA/Trading. For currency/index Spreadbets apart from funding charges IG is very good. For stock spread bets added spreads higher.

Have a decent range at reasonable price. Annoyed that they are reducing the number of vegetarian supplements. Recently had to resort to ordering from Amazon.

Ordered a BMW 5 series. Both Alex and Jessica kept me up to date with my order. The car was delivered about a week earlier than promised. Great service.
