Excellent service

It's simply not worth buying a scanner, when you can rent top quality equipment. A very slick service, simple instructions and also easy to return without needing to find cardboard boxes etc.. 5 star service, and would thoroughly recommend.

Simply Awful

Bundled with Plustek scanner, this software looks like it's out of the 1980s. Life is simply too short for things that need vast manuals and who's owners have obviously been milking the product for decades without investing.

Click and Don't collect

As with many others, we used click and collect based on stock being supposedly available for next day collection. Following the same theme as others, zero communication the next day, clearly a stock mess up, and an utterly hopeless chat service with people who have no additional information.

Given the urgency we've also placed another click and collect at an alternative store that supposedly has stock.. Not holding out much hope.

Pathetic.

Click and Collect orders can take 1-5 working days to arrive in your chosen store by which point, you'd receive a 'Ready To Collect' email from us. We wouldn't recommend travelling to the store until you've received that email.

Utterly Hopeless

I always used to think that UPS were one of the blue chip delivery firms that everyone aspired to be like.

However, recently having ordered a couple of seperate items from a big retailer, a pattern has emerged and that vision has been shattered.

Terrible tracking compared to their more modern competitors, and perhaps as a consequence, terrible reliability. Each parcel I've recently had via UPS has been due to deliver on a given day, email confirmed, then simply doesn't show up. No notification, no email, no attempted delivery - nothing - just an email the next day saying it's been rescheduled !! The most recent parcel has been rescheduled 4 times in the same way, with the latest update saying "delayed in transit" and "the delivery date will be provided as soon as possible". An absolute joke of a service.

(and if UPS can be bothered to even read this, yes I have full video footage of the driveway, so I do know if someone has attempted a delivery..)

9th Dec Update. UPS have kindly responded and asked me to drop them a note, which I duly have. No response today... But instead a nice treat awaited in their website (of course no notification): "Package is delayed in transit. Delivery will be rescheduled".

You couldn't make it up.

Excellent quality paint

As a occasional home DIY'er, I've recently used a number of different manufacturers to freshen up areas of walls. Paint and Paper was superb quality, requiring one coat to spruce, and two if there was a different colour under. Compared to f&b which I'd also had to use for other rooms, that was a world apart, with f&b always requiring two coats at least. Great job paint and paper, and a beautiful finish,

Excellent job

Emmiera group were sent out by the Cotswald company to repair transit based damage to the corner of a chest of draws. The damage was pretty severe, looking like it had been dropped on its corner and compressed. Emmiera were able to rebuild the corner and repaint, while leaving no mess behind. While not quite as good as new, it's an excellent job and given the location would be very hard to spot. Extremely impressive.

Review of Viessmann Climate Solutions UK

Viessmann - The company from hell

New flagship model Viessmann 222 boiler installed in August 2022. Nov 2023 it developed a fault and required the installer to replace the pump. Apr 2024 another fault left with no hot water or heating. Although connected to the internet from the point of install, it seems there's a totally separate process required to get the "warranty". So instead we have the standard manufacturers warranty...

But this is where it's extraordinary - that warranty they claim is from the point which the merchant first had it in stock !!! Not when we bought it, or installed it !! And guess what, that stock date was just outside 2 years !! So we have no warranty at all, for a boiler that's less than 24 months old.

It gets worse...
At this point the boiler was failing every hour or so, needing restarts, but delivered occasional tepid water if timed correctly.

2nd Apr - our installer changed the pump, but software still showed faults. So we needed to call Viessmann to get a (chargeable) engineer out
5th Apr - Viessmann engineer changed the pump again then said he need to order circuit boards, valves etc..
16th Apr - 2 weeks in and the Viessmann engineer appeared with parts. Changed circuit boards, valves etc.. and said the water was a bit dirty (which curiously he hadn't noticed a week and a half earlier - possibly given the whole system had been flushed 18 months before during installation) then disappeared saying it was fixed.
16th Apr evening - zero hot water. Not showing any errors now, but absolutely no hot water.
17th Apr - called Veissmann. Veissmann engineer said it was working fine when he left, and blamed dirty water. Refused to come back again.

So its amazing - a system throwing errors all the time, needing restarts, and giving a bit of tepid water, has gone to completely defunct, straight after a Viessmann engineers visit - and the engineer has the gall to claim its nothing to do with him, and we should call our installer.

17th Apr - Viessmann customer service agreed to send competent engineer round on friday.. Thank you Jane.

Welcome to Viessmann. Appallingly unreliable products. Appalling service. You simply couldn't make it up.

Appalling. I've lost all faith

With a rapidly worsening chest infection for a bedridden child with a high fever, the NHS GP was able to offer an appointment in 6 days, or a trip to go and queue in A&E. Utterly utterly pathetic.
We had to pay for a private GP, who saw us within 2 hours, immediately prescribed antibiotics, and dispensed there and then.
I'm afraid I've lost all faith in the NHS GP system, and their ability to actually treat ill patients. As far as GP's are concerned the NHS is no longer fit for purpose.

Excellent service

Fast to get an appointment for a rapidly worsening chest infection in a patient with a high fever. Skilled and diligent GP who was immediately able to prescribe suitable medication and dispense there and then.
A million miles away from the crumbling NHS experience, who were able to offer an appointment in 6 days or a trip to A&E.

Utterly Hopeless

The most appalling service. Impossible to get hold of on the phone, and their online portal which "supposedly" handles 95% of correspondence within 1 working day is an utter joke. Having submitted a GP referral letter through the portal, I waited a week before chasing, just to get a referral code. When I finally got a code, they suggested 2 practitioners across the entire of central London. One of which no longer worked there, and the other with the earliest appointment 6 weeks later.

Perhaps my expectations are too high, but I was under the impression that when paying for private healthcare, the provider might be vaguely interested in helping their customers to get appointments.

Hard to recommend an organisation this bad.

Exploding cakes...Poor

Lots of good experiences here, but this time ordered a whole cake, which had to be Vegan due to the flavour. Well although good when leaving, by the time it reached home a few minutes away (via a particularly careful journey) it looked like a bomb had erupted in the middle of it. The whole thing had simply fallen apart from the middle in a big heap. Utterly unusable. Their customer service team simply stated that it was their usual recipe, and that was the end of it.

Nice cakes - but I'd struggle to recommend a place with this sort of customer service, and cakes that explode during transportation.

Impossible to contact

Failed to pick up a parcel on 31 Dec. Their systems say "Your friendly local courier couldn't collect your parcel today, we're sorry about that. We'll try again on the next working day" It's now a week later.

Abysmal customer service, since it's impossible to actually get hold of anyone - their chat and phone line just repeat the same message.
