No refund from Budgetair while locked up in Doha
We made a Budgetair booking for a flight from Auckland to Brisbane on March 7, 2026 with Qantas.
On February 27 we fly from Amsterdam to Auckland with a stop in Doha Qatar.
Just before leaving Doha, the war broke out and we are locked up in a hotel in Doha.
We informed Qantas and Budgetair in time and asked them to refund the money, so other people can buy our places. Prices had gone up quickly.
The answer of Budgetair is really disappointing, NO refund.

I'm sorry to hear about your disrupted trip and the significant impact this has had on your travel plans; above all, we hope you are safe. Qantas will not issue refunds because the flight is operating as scheduled and the terms and conditions of this specific ticket are very strict.
I recommend contacting your insurance company, as they cover cancellations in some situations. I understand that these ticket rules are very difficult in this situation, but we are bound by the airline's policy.
