Estimated gas bill adjusted
I had been charged £300 plus for gas, based on an estimate for just over three months, when I knew that for at least six weeks or more, in that period of time, no gas was used because no one was living in the house as it was being refurbished. I could not supply gas readings because the meter was not working. I emailed Octopus energy about the situation and in correspondence with Dave the gas bill was amended to £35. I thought this was a fair and speedy decision based in trust in me and evidence of good customer relations from Octopus Energy.
