Timely and superlative editing of my resume and LinkedIn profile. Easy to communicate revisions with writer. Would recommend this service to all job seekers!

Please read all the fine print before you choose this company. I lost my job after 20 years in an executive management position. I chose the premium package because I wanted to work with someone who had experience in my field. This service is only in effect for 7 days once you pay. The first draft I received was filled with multiple spelling errors and punctuation issues. I spent at least 20 hours of my time during the contracted week fixing and revising this document. I sent copies to my associates and friends and they all had harsh criticism. It was too wordy, too many paragraphs and was full of fluff. They also just give you a template of words used in your resume to fill in yourself for your LinkedIn profile.
I called to get a refund for this terrible and I mean truly terrible experience and they don’t offer refunds. If you don’t get many interviews in 60 days they will offer a rewrite. I have hired another company and now have a professional resume that I feel
confident sending out.

I have nothing but positive things to say about ZipJob. They were easy to work with, quick to get things back to me, prompt with answers to questions that I had, and the turn-around time was amazing. It's been a long time since I updated my resume and I just didn't have the knowledge or time to put the kind of effort needed to make it look professional and up-to-date. I'm glad that I chose this company to do the job for me.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
I used this service and paid for the premium package. I immediately started getting emails about adding features to my package that I'd already paid for. When I was sent the first version of my new resume and tired to read through it it was clear that a human had not even reviewed it before sending it to me. It was completely generated from an API. I had to spend 45 minutes editing it to make it make sense. Then I realized I'd paid $350 for this service and asked myself why I was the one doing the initial proofreading on it...I called wanting to cancel my order and was asked if I would mind working with a different writer and having a complimentary phone call with the writer to make sure we were on the same page. I agreed. The call never happened. It took 2 more calls to customer service for me to just cancel the order, which they said had to go through a review. It took me 3 times calling in to find the results of my review. Bottom line, they are not providing the service to charge what they charge. Their satisfaction guaranteed only covers 30% of your original purchase price.

Purchased their "Premium" package because its says "Future resume update for changes in your career. Never expires!" I was told before purchasing that "changes in my career" meant if I change jobs in the future zipjobs would re-write my resume for a new job. So I purchased their Premium package for $299. Well, now zipjobs is saying "changes in your career" means they will add whatever current job I am at to the end of the resume they created for me AND its only good for one time only. RIP OFF. Their resume and cover letter were not good, I didn't even get referred to the hiring manager. Don't waste your money.

Scam company! Do not work with them.
I wasted over 300$ for NOTHING.
They assigned me a resume writer that didnt even understand the difference between IT and software industry and argued with me that she knows better and if I was a software developer in a software company abroad I should write that I am an IT person. Whaaaaatttt? Then she completely twisted all my original resume and anything I told her and as a result my job description was too far from the reality. When I called to complain I was reassigned to another writer but did not get to talk to him directly. He reviewed the resume again and rephrased the same thing. So I contacted them again – never heard back.

Purchased the premium package 5/3/21 with guaranteed 3 day draft. It’s been 6 days and I don’t even have a writer assigned nor have I received a draft. Absolutely terrible considering I provided them excellent documentation and a functional resume that was sufficient enough to receive federal job offers. So far customer service is refusing to provide refund or assign a writer to actually do what was paid for. I truly believe this company is a scam at this point and will be reporting them the BBB.

Update 5/12/2021: (52 reads so far)
On the 9th day I finally have a writer assigned. But then I received an email stating I need to pay for the cover letter and LinkedIn profile update which is supposed to be included in the premium package according to their website. This has been a nightmare from the start and its still on-going. I’ll keep you all posted with 1 final update when this is all over but obviously don’t bother buying the premium package because it doesn’t include a cover letter, Linkedin update or 3 day expedited draft delivery as promised.

I literally view this company as a scam. I was trying to get out of their page and an order went in. So I write them an email IMMEDIATELY to cancel the order. No response. I send them a second email and they finally reply. But they are not offering to cancel the order or return the money. They graciously offered to put the "order" on hold or "allow" me to gift it to a family member.

Avoid these people like the plague.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. It has been an awful experience. I am waiting on yet another "senior writer" and at one point, they assigned my own resume order (which I put in at the end of March), to me to write. That's right - they assigned it to me. After I emailed to ask why/how they assigned me my own writing order, they ignored me and then assigned it, as far as I can tell, to two different writers.

To be clear, I have already received drafts from 2 other writers. The first writer was obviously trying, but had typos and even company name errors. Since they are working off the resume I sent them - so the company name should not be an issue AND I explained it to that writer to get it corrected, I asked for a different writer - I did not want to get the first writer in trouble and pointed out that that he had been very nice, but I wasn't paying nearly $200 for a resume full of errors and typos. The 2nd writer was rude, did not meet the deadline they said she would, and said that my comments (to the first writer - not her) were hindering the process and she was going to have to start all over. I said - please do. She then added some typos AND kept the incorrect company name that the first writer had changed - which means she worked off of his draft and not the resume I had initially sent them.

They refused to give me a full refund. They offered to have a writer call me and then took that away. They offered to get me a senior writer (3 times) and have it done in 2 days and then ignored my email agreeing to that (to just get it over with) for nearly 3 business days and then changed it to a "72-hour rush".

This has been a horrible experience and should not be called a writing service.

UPDATE: to respond to ZipJob comment below - I have been using the email address you recommend I reach out to since I first requested a different writer (this was, by the way, after an initial writer was assigned, then said - oh, I can't do this - and I had to wait for another writer to be assigned to the first draft). That general support email is part of the problem because I am getting bounced around between different reps each time, who take anywhere from 2-3 business days to reply to me. So I am NOT going to send yet another email to someone who may or may not respond quickly to it, may not pay attention to what has already happened, and then will just assign another writer when I didn't ask for it - which has also happened. If you have a specific person's email who can help, I would reach out.
Otherwise, I am not dealing with more reps. I would have already washed my hands of this except I can't afford to waste nearly $200 on a resume with typos and errors plus a generic cover letter that just repeated what was in my resume.

I wasn't sure at first I needed to pay someone for this type of service. I'm glad I decided to make the investment. My résumé writer was quick and courteous. I am currently looking into taking advantage of the other services they have to offer.
