Has all the basic information, but with $29.95 is about $16 cheaper than Car fax. Good if you buy a used car, to ensure no accidents and regular maintenance. On the other hand Car Fax has a bit m... See more

USELESS REPORT
WASTE OF MONEY!! This company provides no service history records. The report I received only had information about the build, the date, and the mileage when the car was originally sold to the first owner and when it was posted for sale again recently. So no service records whatsoever which is what you really need to look into when buying a used car. I know for a fact that there are several history records on the car as I bought a report from Carfax that reflects them. Zilocar charged me $30 for a useless report and when contacted said that their report is accurate and they will not refund my money. That they will instead give me another of their useless reports for free... So, I was scammed by this company. So please DO NOT fall for it.

More for Less.
I inserted the wrong Vin # and it charged me the fee. I contacted the company via email and they got right back to me and corrected the charge. I like company's who don't hide their contact info. and those who get back to you within a couple days.
Best VIN search
The information provided is better than what the other VIN reporting search engines offer. The subscription price is also better.

Great value
Great value. Sifting through the information takes a minute but it seems comprehensive.
I had a great experience with Zilocar
I had a great experience with Zilocar. Their pricing is much more affordable than Carfax, and their customer support is excellent. Whenever I had questions or needed assistance, they responded to my emails almost instantly. I highly recommend Zilocar to anyone who needs a reliable vehicle history report.

DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!
DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!
This website only provides information about owner changes, nothing more. Look at the 'reviews' tab on their website. They are fake reviews. The second sentence in almost all of them starts with 'Zilocar confirms' or similar. I don't believe human reviewers will start sentences with the name of the company, like on 75% of these, in the exact same format. The purpose of this is to skew the internet into telling you this is a good company.
Look at the positive reviews on TrustPilot as well, with a healthy dose of scrutiny.
All of their 'communications' are AI bots, and it is very obvious. One of their email accounts they use literally has the word "canned" in it. Canned, meaning there is no human involved.
If they respond to this review, look and see, it is the same wording and phrases re-used in their other responses.
Edit after response:
The official US Government website for NMVTIS lists authorized providers of their database on their site. Zilocar was not listed here when I looked for it in January 2026.
Their website WHOIS information was redacted heavily, meaning it was purposefully removed. The only country listed for this website is Lithuania.
Read the Zilocar FAQ page. They do not include service history for vehicles. For my vehicle, Zilocar showed no service history. Later on when I used Carfax, a lengthy service record showed consistent maintenance.
Be sure to check out the bestvehiclehistoryreport website and Youtube channel. Both of these are astroturfing efforts. Currently I would only trust reviews from websites and reviewers with established reputation. As of now, there are none aside from this website and channel.
I did get a response from an actual person after about a week. They offered me a refund. I told them I canceled the debit card I used to pay, and that I didn’t trust them. I haven’t heard back yet.
The more digging I did, the more I didn’t like what I found. Going forward they may become more transparent and trustworthy, and I hope this happens. Make sure for yourself that this is a company you can trust.
Yes, history reports are expensive. Database and dealership record access is not free, and the customer gets what they pay for.
I regret not doing more research before paying. Please do your own research. There is a chance that this website offers what you need, but please be 100% sure you know what they do and don’t offer.
2nd Edit:
For kicks I ran a report on a vehicle that I have owned for about a decade with one of my credits. This car has had **THREE** accidents that I know of, one of which was a total loss by the insurance company. Most recent one was about 6 years ago. And likely one more before I owned it. Their report says confidently that there are "No damages found!” even though this has had major damage more than once.
Just because they don’t find damages doesn’t mean they weren’t reported by insurance companies. I wonder if this company has ever produced a report that shows a wreck. I DOUBT IT.

No Service Records Provided
This software provides 0 service history records. It is easy to navigate and gives a thorough report on many other factors such as title status and history, vehicle features, market value, and safety recalls. BUT, there is absolutely 0 records of any kind on PM history and repairs, which at the end of the day is close to the only details that matter when considering to buy a specific vehicle. The rest of the details is mostly just noise. Don't waste your money, get a Carfax report, the preventative maintenance history is easily worth $15.00 or so extra.

Worthless "report"
The "report" they generated for me had information about the build, the date, and the mileage when I bought the car (new car, 10 miles). It now has 12,000 miles on it, had one minor fender bender, and regular scheduled maintenance. None of that was reported. It only showed when I bought the car. Nothing else. When I contacted them, they were dismissive and simply offered me another report, free of charge, on another vehicle. Why would I want that? I was scammed by this company.
01/07/2026 Update
Once they saw my review here at Trustpilot they reached out and offered me a 50% refund, which I accepted. Then they asked me to do this update. My original complaint stands; the report was worthless. But they did give me a partial refund.
Good value!
The report helped relieve me of any skepticism to purchase the vehicle ….and a few dollars less expensive than another popular source

Second review
Second review.
Bought the monthly service advertising accident reporting a couple days ago because I’m shopping for a safe car for my child. When asking the owners about each car I ask for a CARFAX in case they have one. One of the owners had the CARFAX showing an accident. Zilocar showed no accident for that car on their platform. I ran 7 different vehicles through their site showing no accidents. 3 of those vehicles I’ve run through CARFAX are all showing accidents… 2 showing severe damage. Do not use/trust this service.

The reports included the most vital…account of service frequency and type.
The reports included the most vital records, in my opinion. The service history records. Beyond miles, years, or repaired accidents; regular service, including standard maintenance, such as tire replacement, brake service, etc. informs used car buyers of a vehicles value.
Thorough Information.
I was given all the information I needed to make a good decision.
