Disgraceful behaviour by Zest they have used a shoddy car hire company at Nuremberg Airport called Flex to Go (I urge people to go nowhere near them) who obviously didn’t like the fact that I wasn’t taking up their insurance as I already had it with Zest so decided to cancel the policy on the basis that I didn’t have an embossed credit card! This is a ridiculous term - credit card companies don’t issue embossed cards any more and if that’s secure enough for them it is for hire companies. Zest and Flex to go have then taken my money leaving me to book with another agent

While we understand your frustration with non-embossed cards, the requirement for an embossed credit card for the security deposit is a specific condition set directly by the local rental provider, which is outlined in the rental terms prior to booking. The provider enforces this policy for their own payment verification and security imprinting processes.
That being said, we always aim to support our customers, and as confirmed in our direct correspondence, we have processed a full refund for your booking, including your Top Up Insurance, as a gesture of goodwill. We have also taken your comments regarding your conversation with our team on board to ensure we maintain the high level of service we strive to provide.
We hope that despite this disappointment, we can be of service to you again in the future.

Good experience
We had a car with Sixt. Arrangements went smoothly although we had to wait 20 minutes as they were busy on our arrival. I wish they would not try so hard to sell their insurance - we trust the policy we have with Zest and had extended it anyway to cover tyres etc.
But the car was good and return easy

Would definitely recommend Zest Car Rental. They were very helpful before the rental, answering questions on their UK number about the International Driver's Permit in Albania - it's not required!
It is a bit awkward to reach the Sicily by Car office at Tirana Airport - it's across a busy and fenced main road so requires a detour on foot. Once there, service was fairly quick. Returning the vehicle was also quick and easy.
Very good service overall. No hidden charges or fees, and no insurance hard sell at the rental pick-up. I strongly recommend purchasing excess and top-up insurance through Zest when booking the rental.

Had the most wonderful experience with Zest. The office was easy to find just outside the terminal building.
The registration process was simple & fast and my car was waiting for me.
The same applied when I returned 1 week later.
My deposit was returned within 24 hours and I was extremely happy.

I never rent cars from any other company now!
I ALWAYS use Zest and they are absolutely brilliant. Really supportive and flexible when I’ve ended up missing flights or having to extend rentals- never try to upsell or add cheeky extra costs on. Very no-nonsense and reliable. Always a very pleasant experience.

Great car but didn't match the booking
Car was there ready to be picked up. Hertz staff were friendly. Cost was as promised. Return was super efficient.
The only problem was that the car had 7 seats when the booking said minimum of 8. This was because we had been upgraded to a premium vehicle. Luckily we had ordered a large car for extra room and didn't need 8 seats. However this would have been a big problem for a group of 8. The delivery should match the booking
