AVOID, SCAMMERS WHEN YOU WANT TO CANCEL!

Please for your own sake do not go to this fitness club!!! I first started going here the gym was small and the pool facilities were closed for ages. However this was not the main problem. I tried to cancel my membership for around 2 weeks due to being busy working away. After finally getting in touch with someone they said I had to send an email and would still have to pay one more time even though they wouldn’t answer the phone so it could have been done earlier. I then send the email 2 months went by and 2 more payments came out I tried to call there was either no answer or they said they would get back to me but nothing so I was told in a previous phone call to cancel the direct debit I did so and now have ended up with a email from debit collectors saying I owe them money. Absolutely joke of a place still on going and not resolved after speaking to them last week

You fit Shepperton

You fit Shepperton
I have been coming to YouFit in Shepperton for many years and I have always found the gym team friendly, approachable and always ready to go the extra mile to be helpful.I am sorry Dan has left and sadly Kamil is leaving too, however I am looking forward to Matt becoming the new manager. I am sure that Matt, Calum (hoping very much that he will become the new Deputy Manager) James and Sandra will be committed to ameliorating YouFit Leisure even more by providing excellent members’ training and outstanding customer care.

Stay Away From YouFit Gyms!

I was a member of YouFit gym in Venice, Florida.
In January of 2023 I informed them that I had a United Health Care membership and I provided the attendant at the gym the number of my new membership and asked them to delete charging my credit-union account. She said she did so and I confirmed it with her again the next week. However, YouFit continued to charge my credit-union account and presumably, United Health Care (= double-dipping!) for SEVEN MONTHS! The Assistant-Manager (Dan) agreed it was an employee error not to have deleted my credit-union account charges, but said he could not refund my money. I had to call and cancel my Credit Union Account and I then had them block payment for those final two months, YouFit then had Aldous & Associates (a collection agency) e-mail and call me threatening to affect my 827 credit rating. I had representatives from United Health Care & the Better Business Bureau contact YouFit twice, each. Those representatives said the personnel at YouFit were very uncooperative and that they had "red-flagged" YouFit.
I am now disputing YouFit with the Credit Bureau.
Do NOT join YouFit! They are unethical.
There are better and more reputable gyms to join!

Save your time and money. Dont go there.

Never going back there ever again.
They are scammers, once they get your card charged they wont stop.
250 days ago I told them to cancel my membership, and I trusted they canceled it.
Today's date, I'm still being charged even tho I told them to cancel it. Then I call my bank and they cant do nothing because it is an automatic payment (what they can do is contact YouFit)
Also, youfit now wants to charge me the annual membership because this bill is due within the last 30 days after I requested the cancelation by email. When I requested such 250 days ago.
This is crazy!!

Bad customer service

I've been a regular customer at Youfit Solihull and have always been welcomed warmly. However, during my recent visit today, the receptionist, Liza, refused entry a few minutes before 6:00 PM, despite my usual arrival time. This abrupt change in policy left me feeling unwelcome and frustrated. I hope the establishment addresses this issue promptly to ensure consistent and respectful treatment of all patrons.

Joined the Gym at Shepperton and was missold was told we get this and get that but one week after joining what we had been promised was no longer available.
Could not use facilities as was broke for couple of months. Gym caused me a lot of health issues because gave me exercises they should noty have given me. But to cut a long story short it was agreed with manager that membership be cancelled and are now getting emails from debt collection requesting £61. Have told debt collection the story extplaining the mental issues but they keep on emailing. What does one have to do when suffering badly with mental issues. It is disgraceful. PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF SHEPPERTON SURREY. Clearly Manager not doing his job.

DONT....JUST DONT

Gyms are nothing great. Locations are far and few between in Phoenix az. Equipment is old. Moved out of state to where there were no locations. Tried to cancel over phone and was told that not only do i have to pay a 10.00 cancellation fee (no big deal) but i also am being charged a 50.00 fee that is non refundable. So they are making 60.00 off of me for cancelling my membership. My membership was only 34.99/mo to begin with......REALLY?! All I have to say is STAY AWAY from this gym. Crooked is an understatement!

Taunton YouFit: Users expected to accept reduction in service initiated by management dishonesty

I have been a regular user(paid up "member") of YouFit, Taunton, riddled with a recent history of facilities not functioning and taking an eternity to repair, for about ten years. Before that, I was a casual user. Before Holiday Inn existed I went to school in Taunton. I joined the "club" because I had to get fit for surgery...lung cancer. Since then I have had ongoing hospital operations etc and swim about 5000 metres a week. I do not use the gym. I spend a lot of time away from home but when using YouFit I will swim 750 meters in the morning and the same in the afternoon.

I believe in consumer rights and have had a run-in with the current inexperienced "Manager" concerning withdrawal or reduction of services previously. I find her dishonest and a person who has a tendency to raise her voice to the point of being neurotic at times. I therefore adopted a strategy of keeping a very low profile. To be fair, over the last six months or so continuity of service provision had improved (i.e. less malfunctioning) but still left much to be desired.

Before the New Year I asked George, effectively the Deputy Manager and a first rate person, what steps were being taken to restore the timing on the jacuzzi which had been inadvertently changed from five minutes on, ten minutes off to ten minutes+off. "Everything is in hand" said George adding that the engineers had been made aware. They had made an error when doing some repairs etc to waterworks involving a closure of the waterside facilities. I then went abroad until January 24th.

In Mid-February I made a casual enquiry to the "Manager" as to when the timer would be restored to what it had always been, 10 on and 5 off. I was told that I was mistaken and the jacuzzi has always been 10 off and ten minutes on. The "Manager" was getting aggressive over the issue so as I was walking away I said "Inshallah" (an international word which translates as Praise be to Allah and usually used at the end of a conversation meaning in the circumstances So be it). I was then accused of swearing!!! Linguistic ignorance and also religiously offensive.
Her position on the jacuzzi was ONE BIG LIE generated by her need to either ATTRACT more "members"(which she was failing to do) or save money...hence reduction of the services paid for by "members". Apparently the establishment was not making money but that has to be seen in the context of IHG, the owner of Holiday Inn etc, announcing over $1 billion profit recently.

The next day I asked George to confirm our conversation back in December which he did adding that the "Manager had "lied" to him on the issue when he tried to instigate action to restore the service that members had paid for.

In the same week there was a written announcement of further restrictions on the availability of swimming lanes for members adding to those that were already in place. This also is effectively double-selling of a service the availability of which "members" had paid for.

My sixth sense told me that the Manager was out for me. By this time I was feeling threatened, alarmed and distressed. I was loosing sleep over this. But I was due to be away from home for uch of the next few months. I, therefore, wrote to the Manager, intending to preserve the peace, advising of my planned absences and suggesting that any communication should either be in writing or witnessed by a third party. Better not to be in the line of fire in the first place rather than ducking the bullets so to speak. Clearly, her reading ability does not extend to retention of information. The next time I had sight of this person she started having a go at me. As usual I walked away reminding her to put any matters she wished to raise in writing.

Remembering that I was a "member" for the best part of the last decade it may seem surprising that I soon received a written letter advising that my "membership" of the club was terminated with immediate effect. There is no due process in these matters: it was like the Wild West...before Sherrifs and Marshalls existed.
Tonight I leave for the Atlantic coast of Morocco where the average daytime temperature is about 26 degrees. There is eleven hours sun and blue sky. The sea is excellent for water sports. Horse and camel riding are other options. GOOD RIDDANCE YOU FIT TAUNTON....BUT PLEASE STOP RIPPING OFF WELL -INTENTIONED MEMBERS ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE PENSIONERS AND SWIM FOR THEIR HEALTH....something which is just not on the YOUFIT agenda based on my recent experience.

Oh....I always thought that Clubs with Members had a Constitution and members were democratically elected to Committee posts with discussion of isues effected by bringing items of concern to the attention of the Chairman bla bla bla. YouFit should not us the terms Member and Club because in the ordinary meaning of the words they simply dont apply

Been a member for 21 years

Been a member for 21 years, got all my family friends, work colleagues, football team members to join, had a disagreement with the manager, to which he offered me outside and asked if wanted a fight, then shouting and pointing in my face and gritting teeth, yet I got barred because told him don't dare point in my face, no witnesses and all on camera yet I've just been told I'm barred for life and he has staff and member witnesses, happened in changing rooms when no one there and outside when no one there, now having to speak to a lawyer, I've got witnesses and proof, yet not once have I been asked for any, all on camera and don't need witnesses but I'm still barred, they're happy with a manager pointing in people faces and threatening them because had disagreement

Great gym and spa facilites & fab staff!

I joined the Shepperton Youfit gym based on the fact it had all the pool and spa facilities included in the membership as well as the general "feel" of the gym and the changing room facilities. The gym is usually nice and quiet, not intimidating and has all the equipment I need (it's not a huge commercial gym so if that's your vibe then this might not be for you). The guys on reception are always extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming especially Callum and Kamil, they are absolute diamonds! As it's part of the Holiday Inn hotel you do get an array of guests visiting the gym or pool who can be a little annoying but overall it doesn't tend to impact me. The membership is very reasonable for what you get, they do a lot of classes but I don't go to those, but I do use the gym regularly and sometimes use the pool, sauna, steam and jacuzzi when I feel like a pamper. The lockers have built in codes that you set yourself (a bit like a hotel safe kind of thing) and there is one private changing cubicle, the rest is open plan but spacious. Hairdryers are supplied, swimwear spin dryer thing etc. The showers are ok but I do struggle to wash my hair there as I have long hair and takes too long as they're not overly powerful so I tend to just shower and wash my hair back at home. Parking is always plentiful and free, just put your car reg in the computer at reception. The bar area is lovely for a drink or food and the outside patio decked area is so modern and lovely, bar staff all good from what I've experienced. Oh and there's a separate room to the gym where you can stretch and do ab work which is hidden away so ask reception where it is if you want to use that, it's very tranquil in there. My daughter has now joined too and my husband has been a couple of times on a guest pass and absolutely loves it and is also thinking of joining.

This is the worst gym ever

This is the worst gym ever . The charges for annual fees you accumulate. Right after you initially join the membership. It states you can freeze your account and they wont allow you to freeze your account. I am cancelling my membership and all of the run around i am getting from the customer service department and the gym location coral springs is ridiculous. Why am i having to pay annually if i am no longer at the gym and cancelling membership. They try to hold you to these charges and threaten with collections. If you are given an option to freeze then why when ask they refuse to freeze until you pay this fee . I should of known not to join this gym not much persons are even at this gym to begin with . I advise no one to join this gym they are unfair to members and there are lies and alot of red tape. Not professional. No one tries to assist you when u call they say they are going to call u back just so they do not have to speak with you. I cancelled due to moving and they still will not allow me to cancel this is crazy and unfair .

Not fit for purpose

I joined Youfit Lancaster last summer. The ladies changing room is a joke there is little privacy, three toilets and four showers. When you have been in a class of at least 30 ladies your wait for the toilets and shower's was horrendous especially when one of the showers was broken for some considerable time.
The only positive thing I can say about Youfit Lancaster the staff were lovely, they put up with a lot from members who constantly complained of broken equipment. The higher management need to think less of themselves and more about the frontline staff because with out them there would be no Youfit.

CHEAP IS EXPENSIVE

CHEAP IS EXPENSIVE. I started a membership under a Black Friday promo: "No dues until January." There is no such promo you will end being charged two annual fees in 12 months, no matter what you do. They charge the first annual fee in January because the "no dues until January" mean you will end paying the annual fee later than the day you sing in for the program. Then they will charge another annual fee on the month 12, EVEN IF YOU CALLED AND AGREED WITH THEM NOT TO RENEW YOUR CONTRACT.
The gym is dirty, there is no control, and people leave sweaty paper towels on the cardio machines. Between 6 pm to 9 pm you will not be able to work out properly because they don't have enough equipment to attend the demand of their service.

Reception witch

Left the reception area to go home at 20.04. Glowered at by reception witch who stood ready to leave with bag, hat and coat. Apologised for leaving late. (4 min). She then started to bang on about how unfair it was. I guess she wanted sackcloth and ashes. In how many occupations do workers expect to leave on the dot of end of shift?

Dirty & poorly repaired toilets and shower facilities. Mold on shower tiles. Dirty seat in shower. No lock on shower doors. Only one changing cubicle. Rusty equipment, equipment out of order, damp on the walls in the gym and changing rooms. In desperate need of refurbishment. Pool never available due to swimming lessons. Not value for money. Not fit for purpose. Their only positive is the staff are friendly and helpful.

YouFit Stoke - debt demand

I joined holiday inn YouFit Stoke with the belief
that if I was unable to continue due to my pain that I would be able to cancel as genuine reason ie unable to pay/ illness.
I managed 3 visits and realised this was a mistake due to pain and not impressed at all with the facilities.
I spoke to another receptionist and explained that this was a mistake and they confirmed that it was cancelled and did say an additional payment maybe taken depending when it was due. 3-4 weeks later this payment was taken so I then cancelled the direct debit.
Over 3 months later while on holiday I received an email and text message from a debt collecting agency ARC Europe, demanding arrears and costs, clearly this membership was not cancelled and YouFit never attempted to contact me.
I complained about this at the gym and was given head office contact details and told to send evidence of illness, I eventually had a letter admitting their mistake and a ‘gesture of good will? and would cancel the debt.
I have now sent a second email to ARC requesting confirmation that this is closed and my credit rating has not been affected.
Never again.

Due to a back injury I suspended my account for 2 months , I was charged £5 admin fee per month, however I have since decided to cancel my subscription, I will now be charged the full membership monthly fee for the month of September despite not being able to use the gym and having pointed out that according to the competitions and marketing advice it is unfair of a gym to continue. In this present day of fiscal problems I feel some leeway and consideration should been offered rather than be constantly informed of terms and conditions, I will be avoiding this gym at all costs from now!

DO NOT JOIN YOU FIT

DO NOT JOIN YOU FIT - Holiday Inn J7 GREAT BARR BIRMINGHAM ( been a member since 2014 )
I raised various issues from dirty facilities , tepid spa . steam been out of order for over 6 weeks . showers closed for over 4 weeks - due to a tile falling off and injuring my leg 4 weeks ago 16/4/23 then 3 hrs later a tile fell off and injured another member who I also know
Showers not in use and during Aqua there are at least 20 of us trying to use one shower . Manager not resolving by liaising with hotel manager to let us use a room as hotel fully booked (for 4 weeks ???!!!!)
When I managed to get a meeting with the new manager on May 10th It resulted in N O T H I N G - NO good will gesture NO extension of membership no apology for my injury I stated I wanted compensation / good will gesture and then I received an email advising I could either freeze my membership until the showers are fixed or accept 2 guest passes Errrr showers are out due to the injury we both sustained in the first place or I could have 2 guest passes to take friends FFS Joke or what !!
As if any of us would like to visit a place with no showers and dirty facilities I am gobsmacked that they not only carry on giving poor service they are not even prepared to offer a good will gesture (It also happened to a friend later that same day my friend who also suffered a tile falling on her the same day was offered a months extension on her membership !) They are not even fulfilling their part of their contract I highlighted the fact that the steam had been out of order for 6 weeks Got a very defensive email back stating it was only for 4 weeks and that was before (she )the new manager started 4 Weeks or 6 weeks - IT WAS STILL OUT OF ORDER !
ABSOLUTELY APPALIING NO CUSTOMER CARE NO CARE AT ALL I myself work in the customer service industry and have done for over 25 years and believe in delivering excellent customer service
I also put a review complaint on the YOU FIT Facebook page and have now being blocked I ve now cancelled my membership after 9 good years
!!
