My daughter sign up to Youfit for a…

My daughter sign up to Youfit for a year on a special deal at the time, to end in November of 2024. After November we were charged over $89.00 for what I don't know. I went to the Youfit in Wellington to talk with the manager, he said he was new and taking over from the old manager. I had contacted Youfit by email and said I want this account closed, they sent an email back and said at the end of the month it would be closed. I just got a charge to my credit card for three month again. This place is a scam and a lawsuit should be filed by class action.

Worst Reviews I’ve Ever Seen for a Health Club

Based in UK if I’d read these reviews previously I would never have signed up for a 3 month deal with YouFit. Prior to ending the contract, I gave over 4 weeks notice, got confirmation of this. 3 months after it expired with no contact from YouFit, a debt collection company contacted me saying I owed £68 which I didn’t.
The situation was made worse by membership not having a direct dial number and no surname of the person in charge.
Make sure when you cancel your membership you keep proof and notify your Bank at the same time.

Asking me to pay four times what I originally was told to pay (YouFit Altamonte Springs)

I do not recommend YouFit in Altamonte Springs for short-term visitors or those looking for a non-commitment plan.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with YouFit:

- On October 3rd, 2024, I visited the YouFit Altamonte Springs location and inquired about a non-commitment, 1-month membership since I would be visiting relatives for 3 weeks. I live outside the US, and after my visit, I would no longer be using the gym. The staff was friendly and informed me that I would only be charged a one-time monthly fee of $65.12 for a non-commitment membership.

- A month later, I noticed a charge attempt of $54.59 on my card. I immediately contacted YouFit’s customer support team and also CC'd the Fitness Manager at the Altamonte location. I asked them to stop charging me since I had already paid for the one-month membership as explained by their staff.

- The customer support response was as follows:
"Per the terms of your agreement, your account must be current, and you must provide a 30-day written notice to cancel. Therefore, you are responsible for any payments that are past due or fall within the notification period. I apologize, but we are unable to waive any scheduled invoice payments. Please remit $132.89 to finalize your request."

I admit I should have read the terms and conditions more carefully after being told by staff that it was a one-month membership. However, I sent the requested cancellation notice and reiterated that I only used the gym for 3 weeks back in October.

- Despite this, I continued to receive emails demanding payment for a service I was no longer using. In late December, my relatives in Florida received a letter from a collections agency, Aldous & Associates P.L.L.C., demanding $194.34 and threatening to report my account to credit bureaus if ignored. Letter attached.

I am extremely disappointed in YouFit and would strongly advise against joining or using their services. Their membership options are misleading, and the front desk staff is unprepared to provide accurate information. As a result, I’m now dealing with an attorney over an unreasonable charge while living outside the US.

YouFit doesn’t seem to care about customer satisfaction or well-being; they’re more focused on finding ways to take your money, even through threats and intimidation.

I’m sorry to those in the US who may also have to deal with this frustrating situation.

EDIT (Jan 15th): As expected, YouFit replied to my review with a worthless response, blaming it on myself and not taking any accountability for having an unprepared staff at their Altamonte Springs location. I still have the $194.34 debt for a service a never end up using. Shame on you, YouFit.

If you take out membership for a year…

If you take out membership for a year make sure you cancel it before it ends as they will continue to charge you.
Be sure to cancel your direct debit after you cancel as they employ a debt collection to get their money.

Harassment of disabled

Unfortunately, YouFit is dishonest. They make it impossible to cancel a membership for any customer who becomes disabled. They have zero English speakers in their customer service department and they actually hang up on you to prevent cancellation. These shady practices are not necessary in this industry. Plenty of other gyms do not harass the disabled. It should not be complicated to cancel a gym membership if the gym management is honest. We would have rejoined after the disability crisis healed. But, I cannot tolerate anyone taking advantage of the disabled.

The worst gym to sign up with

The worst gym to sign up with. I moved to a different area and called and emailed them as they said, to cancel and they never acknowledged it and kept changing me monthly and now they put me in collections. I would never sign up with you fit or recommend it to anyone.

I purchased a one-month membership

I purchased a one-month membership, and was told it would grant me access to all YouFit gyms. However, when I attempted to work out at a nearby location, I was denied entry. I reached out to their support via email but received no reply. In a last-ditch effort, I emailed the CEO to share my experience, hoping to prevent this from happening to others. My wife also has a monthly membership and pays for personal training, so we contribute a significant amount to this franchise. The unprofessionalism and lack of response from both the gym and the CEO are appalling. We're done; we'll be canceling our memberships and looking for a gym that actually values its customers.

Awful service, awful communication

Cancelled the membership. Via email, yes in writing! Got a debt company now chasing me for money not owed as they breached the contract. Over priced for what it is, and if everything worked it was a miracle.
I’m looking forward to court to see how they explain the debt owed as I will be seeking damages. Would avoid!

Great in customer services!

I have had some confusion in the account on my membership, I emailed the membership and the management and they resolved it within 24 hr.
The staff are always welcoming and warm and the pool is very cosy if you do not like a crowded pool you definitely will enjoy this in YouFit pool in Holiday Inn.
