Misled and Locked Into a Useless Contract—Stay Away from Yellow Pages
I was contacted by a rep named Skyler from Yellow Pages, who made a lot of big promises that turned out to be completely misleading. She told me that my ad would appear at the very top of search results, improve my Google ranking, and show up as a sponsored listing when people searched for foot care in my local area. She said this would boost visibility and drive clients to my business.
That’s not what happened.
What I actually got was an ad buried deep in Yellow Pages’ own search results—11th place, not the top. It never appeared on Google like she implied. In fact, the only way to even find my listing was to search Yellow Pages on Google, then search again on their site using a desktop (it doesn’t show up on mobile). That’s a ridiculous amount of effort just to find something that was supposed to be “sponsored” and “top-ranked.”
Even worse, the ad had incorrect information—it listed food services, which I don’t provide. I run a foot care clinic. That kind of error is unacceptable and shows a total lack of care or attention to detail.
I feel completely misled and stuck in a contract that offers me zero return. If I had known any of this upfront, I never would have signed. Yellow Pages sells outdated services using modern marketing buzzwords that don’t match what they deliver. Be very cautious—this experience has been nothing but frustrating, disappointing, and a total waste of money.
Unable to cancel contract any way but…
Unable to cancel contract any way but over the phone however they do not answer the phone when you call. Every aspect of dealing with this company has been a complete nightmare. They are manipulative and dishonest.
Avoid - total scam!!!
Avoid! Yellow Pages automatically renews your contract with 0 notice to you. Hard to get out of it, and complete scam. You have no guidance and they keep referring you to a new "team lead". Sends you screenshots of your statistics with no real information. When you call to cancel, they avoid you and takes them weeks to get back to you. Read the fine print, it states that you need to cancel exactly 45 days prior to contract expiration or it auto renews for the length of your original contract.
Save your money and go on Google ads or Facebook's ads etc. yellow Pages is outdated with bad intentions. Hope this helps!
STAY AWAY - SCAM, SCAM, SCAM
Yellow Pages contacted us and convinced my husband to sign up for a one year term. That was 5 years ago and he has been trying to cancel since. They make it nearly impossible to cancel with them. We refuse to pay for a service we did not ask for and they sent his account to collections. We were almost relieved thinking that he would finally be done with them, but lo and behold his listing is still up. We will be contacting a lawyer as we are at the point that we don’t know what else to do.
DO NOT sign up with them under any circumstances. They make a good pitch but it’s a complete scam. Not only that, but he did not get a single customer through them. Just stay away.
Don't waste your time and money
***Don't Waste your time and money, keep it in your pocket***
I was shocked by how bad my experience with this company was. Their systems are broken, and the managers seem more interested in getting contracts- signed without providing real services or caring about customers than improving how well their systems work.
Absent service - worthless
I was called by YP to place an add on their webpage. They convinced me to come aboard. 8 months into the contract I complained about not receiving services. They called back promising better services, dropped the price and offered more than in the first contract. They were to reach out regularly with monitoring of my ads. I have since emailed them several times to no avail. They are not a service provider, they are a "we will keep you paying as long as we can" type of company with no regard to their clients at all. Very disappointing. This company over sells and under delivers - 100% guaranteed. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Stay Away – Misleading Promises, Poor Service, and a Trap You Can’t Escape
A few months ago, Yellow Pages contacted us and convinced us to sign a one-year agreement, claiming it would boost our overall business ranking and generate more leads. Unfortunately, they delivered almost nothing of value.
The worst part? Their customer service flat-out refuses to cancel the subscription. After realizing how ineffective the service was, I looked up other reviews—turns out we’re not alone. They have an abysmal reputation (almost a one-star rating), but by then, it was too late. We were stuck paying for the full year.
Be extremely cautious: they’ll auto-renew your contract, and you can’t even cancel the renewal until the last month—clearly hoping you’ll forget and get locked in for another year.
Don’t fall into their trap. Avoid Yellow Pages at all costs. Total waste of time and money.
The customer service sucks
The customer service sucks. I signed 2 days ago and it was like im forced to work with them, i told them they suck.No help whatsoever they only argue don’t want to hesr you out. Trash customer service.
Yellowpages service is non-existent and…
Yellowpages service is non-existent and dismal. YP uses auto-renewal system, do not agree to this service ever. I recently cancelled my service January 2025 and was advised I am "under contract" to December 2025 (I verbally agreed to an auto renewal in June 2022, thinking it was close to year end, didn't understand it was a "forever" auto renewal). They were to send me physical copy of my contract, this paper/email version was never received for further review (mistake on my part for not following up but business was busy.) Auto renewal could be acceptable if someone from YP ever reached out to discuss my file. I contacted them in 2022 to discuss pricing, they did not call me. And since 2022, no one at YP has reached out to me, their client. Auto renewal = no service. In my business, no client contact means no client, gone. Bottom line, YP is a dying model in the new world, AVOID Yellowpages at all costs. They were happy to take my money and never service my account. Quite a business model.
Money in exchange for nothing
My wife clicked on a Yellow Pages ad offering a free ad for new businesses. They called her and pressured her for almost an hour to pay for their "services", citing that they would reduce the price for her in order to give her great savings. She said she wasn't interested, but they kept lowering the price and begging until she finally gave up and accepted to "try them out". That apparently gave them the right to lock her into a 1 year term. They refused to cancel, she refused to pay, then they threatened to send her to collections. They also didn't fulfill their end of the service agreement by giving her access to her "dashboard" for several months, allowing her control over her service. This "dashboard" is also responsible for allowing for service auto-renewal to be turned off. Yellow Pages is clearly a scam company now and should be avoided at all costs.
Yellow pages has been an issue for…
Yellow pages has been an issue for number of years! We cancelled years ago and they deny it and keep sending us invoices even after cancelleation and it's been years since we shut the business down and still sending invoices for service we never used and cancelled.
Yellow pages has been an issue since the 90s we stayed away from but the sales person was nice and then very pushy.
They drained our bank accounts.
Horrible company! Business was shut down in 2022 and they keep sending invoice. Stay away

This Company and its sales team are a bunch of liars and scammers. I will be taking them to court over a contract I never signed. Just look at there rating at BBB or any reviews other than the ones on there website. If you hear the name Sonny or Adrain in the Vancouver/B.C area hang up

## Beware of Yellow Pages' Deceptive Practices!
I made the mistake of trusting Yellow Pages with my business listing, and it was a nightmare. They promised the world but delivered nothing. My Google rankings plummeted after partnering with them.
## Broken Promises and Aggressive Billing
Despite their failure to deliver, they continued to charge me and threatened to send me to collections. The constant calls were harassing. It's clear they prioritize profits over customer satisfaction.
## Sneaky Auto-Renewal Policy
Yellow Pages auto-renews contracts 45 days prior to expiry, and if you miss this window, you're locked into another year of overpriced services. When I tried to cancel, they made it incredibly difficult.
## Mafia-Like Business Tactics
Their business practices are predatory and deceptive. I urge others to avoid Yellow Pages at all costs. If you're considering their services, think twice. Protect your business from their exploitative tactics.
Thank you
We are in Australia. I was called by an extremely courteous and helpful gentleman from Yellow Pages named JAMES.
He guided me thrugh the issues I have with changing our complimentary yellow pages entry to update our business address for Sydney Business Web. This is critical for us with Google - they require full consistency across all platforms.
I have not dealt with Yellow Pages for years and held a poor opinion - but they are clearly improving by a huge amount. THANK YOU JAMES.

Horrible Experience- DECEPTIVE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I strongly advise everyone to stay away from Yellow Pages unless you want to deal with a company that lies, manipulates, and traps customers into unfair contracts.
When we signed up, a salesperson assured us that if our business shut down, Yellow Pages would discontinue services and stop charging us. However, when we needed them to honor this commitment, they blatantly denied it. We provided proof that our business had closed and requested to stop charges from as per their previous confirmation, but instead of respecting this, they launched an “investigation” only to come back and claim they found no evidence of the sales person's statements.
Their contracts are highly deceptive – requiring 45 days' notice to cancel, or else they automatically renew into a 12-month contract! Who does this in Canada? This is nothing short of a scam to trap customers. I’ve never encountered such terrible service, unresponsive customer support, and outright dishonesty.
Despite multiple emails and clear proof of our business closure, we’ve been met with lies, delays, and refusal to re-investigate our case properly. Every representative we dealt with seemed inexperienced, evasive, and more focused on covering up their mistakes than helping customers.
We even offered to pay for the period we used, but they refuse to stop billing us beyond that—even when there’s no business to advertise! This is nothing but a money-grabbing scheme.
If you’re considering advertising with Yellow Pages—DON’T. They will trap you in unfair contracts, refuse to honor verbal commitments, and make it nearly impossible to cancel. Their business model is built on manipulation, not customer service.
Avoid them at all costs!
AVOID THE SCAM CALLED YELLOW PAGES
They come advertising helping your business. Offer a trial service and don't tell you it's a one year "trial". Bill you for not providing ANY VALUE and then come around with telling you your first agent that sold you the marketing plan no longer works with them and assign you a new one who knows comes to sell you a "better" deal to tie you again to another year of providing ZERO VALUE.
Avoid this company. There are better ways to waste money than use YELLOW PAGES.
They think it's marketing but this is clearly a well run scam in broad daylight
They also "record calls" . Ask for your call logs and it takes them a day or a week as they say where they edit your call logs to fit their narrative .
Visit their google page or search on goggle maps for Yellow pages Canada and drop the real reviews to save others
