PLEASE READ.
PLEASE READ.. I have to do an update with my experience with yellow jersey. It was very difficult trying to get the picture details needed for my claim to go through and I had exhausted every avenue and it seemed we had hit a brick wall . However once the claim was passed over to the complaints department I was pleasantly surprised in how helpful they were . I was even offered a face to face service to resolve my issue which I feel is very kind as that is against their policy as a rule . Once they had seen the appropriate picture I had confirmation that all was ok. Just wanted to say now on reflection and not so emotional from the whole experience . Thanks to Hugh especially!.

An entirely positive experience: the insurance agent was extremely helpful and thorough, suggested some additional checks for damage, and approved the claim quickly in full.

Really great company, very easy to deal with and very understanding. I’ve had a few claims now over the last 5-6 years and there’s never been a single issue. Would highly recommend to anyone.

AVOID! Repair company will ruin your precious bike
I can only give one star and tell everyone to avoid Yellow Jersey. The claims experience is good, quick, friendly and understanding - but that's where it ends. If you have an expensive bike and you're insuring in case of potential repairs after a crash... don't do it. Yellow Jersey and its partner, Target Composites, will leave you without your bike for weeks and months, and when you finally get it back, it'll be damaged and in a worse state than it went in for repairs in! Our crash happened on the 8th July, with bikes collected by Target on 22nd July, and we've only had one bike back so far - and it's not in a condition to ride.
We claimed for a carbon damage inspection and potential repairs for two bikes worth £6k+ each. One bike was sent back by Target Composites a few days ago, after a few weeks since being sent in. We were horrified when we received it. The handlebars were protruding through the box. The box was battered. The handlebars were now scratched - including the new parts. Di2 cabling all done wrong with weird junction box outside of the frame when it used to be wired inside. New disc - bent and damaged. The brake calipers were entirely loose. Bits of the paintwork were scratched on e.g. the wheels. The wheel which was untrue post crash had not even been trued! Brakes had not been bled. Parts missing. The list goes on.
When sending in the bike, you get all these instructions on how to pack your bike safely, which we absolutely followed and even bought lots of padding and tube covers to cushion every single tube on the frame. Somehow all this packaging also went missing and Target sent the bike back with minimal packaging beyond the box. Why send the allegedly repaired bike back in someone else's box with no padding?
We immediately let both Yellow Jersey and Target (a guy called Phil) know about how the bike came back. It was claimed that the bike had been quality-controlled. Sure. How can you sign off a bike with loose brake calipers? What if I had trusted you and got on the bike with faulty brakes? When looking at the quality-control sheet within the box, funnily enough it was signed of as a "pass" by A. Pedersen but one section of the boxes was completely unchecked so guess the quality control didn't actually happen in full. I feel Target have a big contract in their hands with Yellow Jersey and as a result they're coming up with all sorts of random things to replace on bikes (including both our handlebars and various other bits) in order to make more money, and have probably hired incompetent people when expanding. That's how the quality of work comes across here.
There has been no offer of resolution. No timelines. We've gone into the bank holiday weekend without any idea what will be done and when. Yellow Jersey ignored our email on Friday. Feels like they've washed their hands and are deferring to Target on the resolution, which isn't quite right, as my contract is with Yellow Jersey. My Specialized Venge is still with Target and I'm so worried about it coming back ruined like my partner's bike. 😔 I have asked Yellow Jersey to cancel the insurance renewal I made a few days ago before getting the first bike back.

Professional company to deal with.
Took out the race fee insurance for an Outlaw Triathlon event ( don't usually) had to cancel due to training injury. Re imbursement of £201 from basic race only fee of £215. Just be aware of the requirements to submit a claim (read terms/conditions) Doctors letter (even though done over the phone!!) To agree with my diagnosis! And write a letter to say so! (£20) I know it's one of yellow jackets requirements, but a bit pointless being as nobody actually saw me. Not there is anything to see with Achilles/calf strain! without having an ultrasound or MRI. which would have negated the money reclaimed totally plus a bit more! But on the whole I'm glad I took out the policy and the claiming process was pretty simple and handled in a friendly manner.
Excellent service from start to finish.

Great customer service, terrible repair service.
Honestly…
I couldn’t expect better service from an insurance company. Until I got my bike back from repair 🤦🏻♂️
My bike had the carbon frame severely damaged in an accident. I expected to receive full compensation to buy a new bike, but I was surprisingly happy with the option to get a brand new frame assembled with my bike parts, as they were not affected. After all, I had a good pair of wheels, so I accepted the repair.
Everything from the accident to the day my bike arrived back from repair was amazing and I was holding to write this review until getting my bike back on the road.
The company (Target Composites) that assembled the new frame to my bike parts did a terrible job. They didn’t route the cables through the stem and handlebar as it was previously done. Since I complained about this, its been 2 weeks waiting for a solution, with my bike packed in the box. The availability given to me for fixing this issue is another 3 weeks away!
I decided to ride my bike in the meantime and just found out that:
- the installation was done very poorly
- gear is not working
- brakes are not aligned
- they scratched my new handlebar! 🤬
- the seatpost was installed all the way down to the frame tube. When I adjusted it to my side, I found that the exposed parts are now scratched too!
I’ve got so many mixed feelings… although I really appreciated YellowJersey’s efforts during this claim, their partner Target Composites did a horrendous job on the maintenance and repair of my bike.
At the end of the day, it’s YellowJersey’s responsibility to give my bike back in perfect conditions as they promised. And that’s not what happened here. 😔

YellowJersey replied below saying that the claim's team is working on it, but they're not. They didn't agree of replacing the handlebar they scratched during service. And now the service to repair the terrible job they did has delayed for more than a week. This is now a month and a half waiting for a solution, and my bike is not working since April. (today is 1st of August).
Borderline scam!

Do not use
Do not use! Having been a loyal customer for two years, my bike was stolen and when trying to claim they made it incredibly difficult and finally said they would not pay out.
All of their reviews are for easy it is to buy from them, not how they treat claims. Complete waste of money
