Would happily book again
We spent a week on Romar VI, a Bali 4.6, and were really impressed when we arrived. The boat is located in a quieter corner of Alimos Marina with car parking and lots of room to organise stress free boarding. Check-in was quick and easy (done on the actual boat rather than the offices), the boat was spotless and it had lots of equipment. Anything we asked for extra was provided.
The weather wasn't great and we had some plumbing issues during the week, which were frustrating and took time out of our holiday. Stratos was always available and did his best to help, although we didn’t manage to get everything fixed while we were away.
Afterwards, I spoke with the owner, who listened to what had happened. He really wanted us to find a fair resolution and walk away happy, and we were able to do that. I appreciated him taking the time to speak to me personally and put things right.
It made a big difference to how we felt about the experience, and we’d happily book with Yachts Society again.
Excellence in Yachting
Excellence in Yachting - best in Greece I have experienced over the last 3 years!
Despite booking a bareboat Bali 4.6 via a booking portal, pre-charter communication was effective (presentation of license and previous skipper experience), reservation of requested extras without any issue (SUPs).
Upon arrival - The FIRST TIME - I was greeting on the boat vs. going to the charter company office. Paperwork was done in minutes - and the hand-over procedure was without any complaint but very professional.
The Bali 4.6 (Romar II) was in top condition, clean incl. fully equipped toilets / washing rooms.
During the charter we were contacted whether everything is all right - and small questions could be addressed on the spot.
Returning procedure was the same great experience as upon arrival. Multiple staff members supported a very fast docking Manoever including the diesel fuel van waiting for us for refueling (saving the painful FRI afternoon refueling queue)
I will definitely re-book over the next years! BIG THANSK YACHTS SOCIETY!
Tried to force-sell their skipper on a…
Tried to force-sell their skipper on a bareboat already paid charter.
It is very common that some companies practice this tactics.
After payment they suddenly apply "high standards".
And the “solution” becomes: pay for their skipper (or cancel).
Two experienced licensed skipper onboard, that INCLUDED catamarans, not enough.
If they had such "deal breaker", it should have been established from the beginning.
Exchanged lots of details, before reservation and payment. Phone calls, emails.
Then they turn into, explaining how the insurance company is the one not validating either of the skippers experience, based on a document that we had to fill 4 rows of our last charters (vague, ambiguous details):
sailing area, charter company, year, boat type, role (skipper, co-skipper, crew).
How can insurance broker evaluate a skipper's sailing experience based on these (can be subjective) criteria's ?
Document, template to sign mentions:
"I certify that information are true and note that if my ability is not sufficient, the company Yachts Society may cancel the contract or demand the presence of a professional skipper aboard that I will be charged for."
Based on who's criteria's? Where are the minimum requirements? Why are not presented upfront. Who establishes them (insurance companies) ?
Why not being transparent from the beginning with the whole process on a bareboat reservation before payment is done.
Update #1, 18 Feb 2026: In reply for YS.
Thank you for taking the time.
However, your response contains several inconsistencies compared to what was communicated to us during the booking process.
1. “Documented command experience requested prior to booking confirmation”
In our case, the reservation and payment were accepted first, and the experience validation was requested and applied afterwards. This is exactly the core issue: the qualification requirements were not treated as a pre-condition upfront.
2. “Published standards clearly stated”
At no point before payment were we presented with any concrete minimum requirements such as:
- minimum number of catamaran skipper days/weeks,
- minimum size threshold (e.g. 45ft+),
- minimum number of comparable charters,
or what qualifies as “verified command experience”.
Instead, we were asked to fill a short template with 4 rows of past charters (year, area, company, role, boat type). That format is too vague to represent a skipper’s real competency and leaves full discretion to the charter company and/or insurer.
3. “Two days on a Lagoon 40”
This is selective framing. We provided two licensed skippers onboard and a broader sailing history, including multiple bareboat charters. The issue was not safety — it was that you applied an internal acceptance threshold after taking payment, without a transparent checklist upfront.
4. Forced skipper outcome.
You state “our policy is not intended to impose a skipper”, but your own signed template explicitly states that if your criteria are not met, the charterer must either accept a professional skipper at extra cost or the charter is cancelled. From the customer perspective, that is a forced upsell mechanism unless the requirements are clearly defined before payment.
5. Refund
Yes, the deposit was refunded. That is appreciated.
But the core point of the review remains: the process was not transparent, and the skipper acceptance criteria were applied after money had already been taken and time invested.
For future clients, the simple solution is: publish a clear minimum bareboat checklist for each yacht category (e.g. Bali 4.6) and enforce it before accepting payment.
UPDATE #2, 18 Feb 2026:
Since Yachtssociety replied publicly, I have received multiple Trustpilot email notifications showing that their response has been edited repeatedly (10 times).
I want to highlight this because each edit has gradually reframed the situation more in their favor, and parts of my original review content have also appeared differently or partially missing after subsequent edits.
For transparency:
I stand by my original point — the core issue was not “safety standards” as a concept, but the lack of clear, upfront bareboat qualification criteria before payment was accepted, followed by a post-payment rejection and the standard “solution” (hire their skipper or cancel).
If Yachtssociety truly has fixed, published, objective bareboat requirements for a Bali 4.6, those should be clearly communicated before any payment is taken, not clarified afterwards through repeated public edits.
I’m leaving this update so future clients understand that the public response shown here has been revised many times and does not reflect a single consistent statement from the company.

Fantastic week sailing on Romar VI
I have just come back after chartering Yachts Society's Bali 4.6
The boat was in excellent condition, with everything working as it should. The base team was very professional and friendly, to the extent of helping our clients order pizza on the last night.
We charter many boats as a charter agent, and will definitely be working again with Yachts Society in the near future.
Dont hesitate to use Yacht Society
Excellent service, boat in excellent condition. Yacht Society have boats that are just perfect. All the extra's you like the boat to have are there. Their boats are premium with all extras you can think of. Prior to the arrival the owner shared updates via email and whatsapp wit useful advise. For example the grocery online ordering. Also the early boarding and the ease of check-in and check out. Outperformed the experience we had with Dream Yacht Charters. Skipper Vassilis was the perfect fit to our family of 5, including 3 teenagers.
Wonderful memories on the sarcinic gulf
The company was quick to respond and helped us find a boat and crew to fit our needs. The captain, Yev, was trustful, and helped plan a trip accommodating the needs of our family. But the star of the show was Katerina, the cook, who not only made great Greek meals but also created kitchen activities for the kids, made them participate in the preparations and even gave Greek cooking lessons for my mother. We had wonderful memories.
Yachtssociety - Simply The Best!
Our family of ten, have just had the ultimate dream holiday, sailing around the Greek Saronic Islands on a pristine, superbly maintained, Bali 4.6 Catamaran operated by Yachtssociety, booked through Helm Charter Brokers. Everything worked on this boat including the wonderful air con' in our cabins. And of course the Captain was BRILLIANT! Dimitris made our holiday. Such a thoughtful, pleasant man. He noticed my wife loves Baklava, in our second Port he returned to the boat with the best ever tasting Baklava. Just an example of how the little things make the difference. I know Helm only work with the best but Yachtssociety are clearly the very best in Alimos. I can't recommend Yachtssociety too highly. They won't disappoint.
A Perfect Charter Experience with Yachts Society
Booking our first bareboat charter in the Greek islands was a leap into the unknown, but Yachts Society, introduced to us by our broker, made it an unforgettable adventure. John and Constance, the owners, proudly emphasize the unique customer experience of their family-owned business, and they deliver on that promise.
From our initial connection to the final moments of our journey, John and Constance made us feel like VIPs. Their dedication to personalized service is truly remarkable. Every call, email, and WhatsApp message was answered promptly, easing our preparations and ensuring we were ready for the adventure.
The personal touch extended to every corner of their operation. The enthusiastic technicians and dock hands were invaluable, assisting with everything from loading our bags and provisions to stowing our SUPs and windsurfers. Their focus on perfection was evident in every detail.
The check-out process was a breeze; within 1.5 hours of our arrival, we were sailing the stunning Greek waters. John’s fleet is impeccably maintained, with a well-stocked inventory of parts to swiftly handle any equipment issues that might arise.
Upon our return, John, Constance, and their dedicated team greeted us with the same unwavering commitment to service. Their attention to detail and genuine care made this the ideal charter experience.
In a competitive market, Yachts Society stands out. John and Constance have created something truly special—a seamless blend of professional efficiency and heartfelt hospitality. Our charter with them was nothing short of perfect.
Amazing Charter Experience
Our family chartered Romar IV for two weeks from Yachts Society. Words cannot explain how much we enjoyed working with John, Constance and their team. We’ve charter boats for over 30 years from all around the world and Yachts Society is unlike any other. Their family run business brings a personal touch that you don’t get with the larger charter companies. Their inventory of yachts are well maintained and Romar IV was impeccable. I would highly recommend Yachts Society for anyone planning a charter in Greece. Thanks again John and Constance, Efcharisto kai Yamas!!
Great service, truly recommend
Me and my friends rented a catamaran for our weeklong sailing trip around the Cyclades.
Constance was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and always responded quickly, the boat exceeded our expectations, and we had the best skipper, Sotiris, to show us around the islands. Everything was wonderful and we had zero worries on our hands.

An amazing charter company
John, Constance and the Yachts Society crew were amazing. They are a family charter company, they own and also sail on these boats and they really gave us a super professional and very warm experience. We took the Bali 4.6 - Romar2. The boat was the best we've been on, in great condition and exceptionally well equipped. Any issue we had was immediately dealt with and solved with allot of care and friendliness. It is so exciting to see that the team loves their boats and love what they are doing, and everything is done with so much care and attention. We highly recommend them for your next charter.
Perfect Charter and very nice and helpful Owners and Team
It was a real pleasure to get to know John, Constance and their Team from Yachts Society. The Bali 4.1 was a really nice and comfortable catamaran in very good condition. We very much enjoyed the two weeks of sailing in the Aegean Sea.

I rented the sailing boat Antibes for a week. Everything was working well and thus I coule enjoy the holidays fully. Contance and John from the charter company were very kind and explained me carefully everything I needed to know. I can warmly recommend sailing with Yachts Society.
Perfect charterer!
We have had a great week in collaboration with Yachts Society! The owners are a lovely couple that use their boats for their own holidays as well, which is why everything is working properly. Not a single time have I seen a boat that is so thoughtfully equipped. Things like a 30m longer electric cable and 120 meters of anchor chain are included and very useful. The Nespresso machine is a nice touch as well ;). Thank you John and Constance and see you next time!
great service
great service extremely nice owners
great catamaran the best vacation we recommend wholeheartedly 😍
Excellent, I recommend
I rented a "RomaR" catamaran for my client and can recommend this company as everything was good!
There were several electrical problems due to the high voltage at the Mykonos pier. The charter company did everything perfectly - they apologized, quickly found a technician to fix it and compensated the client for his costs due to the breakdown. It is a good job and my client is satisfied and wants to rent a boat from them again next year.
