We had an overall good experience, with a few areas that could be improved.
The communication at the start was strong, but I did request and confirm a specific time multiple times, and it was later changed after I paid the deposit. While this was frustrating, the team did make an effort to make up for it by providing additional services, which we appreciated.
There was a bit of confusion with the menu. It listed chicken and vegetable skewers, which I interpreted as two separate skewers —especially since I had mentioned that four people in my group do not eat meat. This appeared to be a miscommunication, but the team did work to accommodate us by bringing additional vegetables.
The crew was a highlight of the experience. Marleny and the rest of the team were friendly, attentive, and ensured we were well taken care of throughout the trip.
One concern was the addition of a photographer. He was brought onboard, took photos throughout the trip, and then attempted to charge us at the end without providing any information upfront about his services, pricing, or package structure. The cost was $45 per person, which for our group of 13 totaled $585. This was especially disappointing because several group photos—particularly those with the birthday twins (the two 75-year-olds)—were taken by the photographer, leaving us without those memories unless we purchased the full package. We were not given the option to buy individual photos, and this requirement was never explained in advance.
I was also a bit disappointed that we only cruised for about 15 minutes before anchoring among other boats for the remainder of the time. I expected to ride and sightsee before anchoring and being able to swim.
Lastly, I did not expect that we would need to take a smaller boat to reach the yacht. I was traveling with two 75-year-old women and had assumed we would board directly from a pier. That said, the crew handled this very well and ensured our family members were assisted safely.
Overall, the crew’s service and attitude stood out, but clearer communication and transparency—especially regarding scheduling, menu details, and added services—would make the experience even better.
