Xsplit is great piece of technology

Xsplit is great piece of technology for streaming and producing content of digital media. if you need to capture games, virtual machines, or other digital media.
Xsplit does a great job and provides several tools that make working with these formats easier .such as hotkey screen transitions and a video editor. these additions make working in post/live easier as you do not have to manually add transitions and or cut and split segments. i find xplit speeds up my workflow in this regard.

unfortunately where xsplit shines it is also lacks luster in support, community, and features. something its competitors has surpassed xsplit in . their removal of the forums was a mistake in my opinion. especially considering the price of the software.

regardless i still prefer a xsplit workflow over the other options as i have the features that i need to make things look great and with out aggravation and to me the time saving are worth it.

it may seem a 2 star reduction is quite drastic but since streaming is community driven, not having a focus on this warrants a deduction of a star and another for lack of support.

otherwise this would be a 5 star review

I've been using XSplit since 2012

I've been using XSplit since 2012. If not, a tad longer. I've always liked it's interface. I know a lot of people use OBS especially due to the incorporation of green screens, but the one thing I didn't like about OBS is that every time I had to stream on a different streaming service; (i.e. Twitch, Picarto, Piczel, Mixer, Smash.Tv., ect.) I have to keep going into the Stream Settings and changing it out. With Xsplit, I can create as many channel keys as I want and, after that, it's just at the press of a button. I just click the Broadcast tab then just select whatever Streaming Service I want to use. I also like utilizing the Screen Captures and importing images to create my own "HUD (Heads Up Display)" whenever I stream games or drawing. I tried doing something similar with OBS but it just never works out the same way. Maybe if XSplit incorporated Green Screens (unless I've missed something), it'd be like 200% greater.

XSplit has been a very easy way for me to stream to Twitch and locally record some gameplay. The source selection and overlay creation are both easy. Scene selection hotkeys make it easy to look professional. No problems in years of use. Thanks XSplit!

New to streaming and really like XSplit

I'm relatively new to streaming from a PC, everybody uses OBS and i was going to as well. But my Logitech Brio came with a free 1 year subscription to XSplit, and I have really come to appreciate this product. I'm very happy with the functionality and the performance of the product. I am happy to recommend this software for streamers who want to focus more on professional streaming.

xsplit gamecaster must have

Ive been using xsplit gamecaster for a number of years. It does not have the presentation options of broadcaster or OBS etc.Be clear on that before you purchase.
However as a live streaming and recording piece of software it is first rate and so simple to use once you get past the initial setting up and linking it to your youtube or twitch etc
Its recording quality and lag free streaming that I want and gamecaster ticks all the boxes on that score.
Another thing to mention is the customer support.Ive had an issue in the past that through patience and perseverance on their part managed to help me get sorted out.The support staff are very good and give great backup to an already well established product on the market.
I would recommend gamecaster to anyone who just wants to stream or record their gameplay without any fuss.
If you want far more control and options in your streams then you need to get xsplit broadcaster.
10 out of 10 from a very satisfied customer.

We have been using XSplit Broadcaster…

We have been using XSplit Broadcaster for almost a year now and it has been great. We are a small church that live streams out to youtube. We have the occasional hiccup with authenticating to youtube, but usually it is a youtube problem.

We are running a 480p stream and cpu/gpu usage is very low. We also do a local recording as a backup and that has been working flawlessly.

Overall, it has been a very pleasant experience with XSplit.

I love having a program I can broadcast…

I love having a program I can broadcast to Facebook. However I can not respond to comments, because I haven't paid for the pro. I am on limited income and can not afford it. Sometimes, I encounter issues with Xsplit in certain games I play and have to close my games through alt ctrl del. Over all I give it 4 stars Because Xsplit hasn't been banned from FB like Geforce Experience has.

Simple great but hardware intensive

Honestly love xsplit, super simple and easy to use but the paid version is pricey. Free version is good for beginners if you don’t mind a watermark when streaming above 720p. Only problem is it’s very hardware intensive. I have a decent pc And xsplit hogs up all my gpu but overall super simple great application

I have never encountered a technology company with tech support as excellent as that provided by XSplit.

I have been using computers since 1982. I taught Desktop Publishing at a university, was a Mac consultant, and later was a professional SEO guy for years. Now I use XSplit in producing a popular interview show. I have never, in all these decades, encountered a technology company with tech support as excellent as that provided by XSplit. It seems they are always available. They respond immediately and stick with you until the problem is solved. And the problem is usually my fault, not XSplit’s.

Xsplit - an easy to use video streamer

Several years ago, I thought it would be fun to do my current favorite hobby on youtube and so I began making videos and uploading them to youtube. Well each one was at least hour and a half long. I did not have the best connection to the internet so it took several hours just to upload. I had heard about others who were live streaming their stuff to youtube. I thought about trying that but I had no clue of where to even begin to do a live stream.. I tried a couple of applications that claimed to be easy to use, but they were not easy for me and I gave up trying to do that. One day I was playing around on the internet and I saw an avert from a company which claimed to offer an application that would have me streaming my videos in just a few mins. I thought to myself, yeah sure, but they had that one word in the advert which I could not resist.,. FREEEE. This was a long time ago. So, I downloaded the product and sat down, prepared to spend a few hours trying to do this again. This application had me answer a few questions and in just a few minutes I was online. This application of Xsplit and I think at the time they were just starting out.. I have been using xsplit for many years now and it keeps getting better and better as the xsplit devs keep making improvements to it. When they began selling licenses for it, I bought a lifetime license and it and I am so glad that I did. I am not the best one to make this review, since I only use xsplit to stream my videos up to youtube. I am sure it is capable of doing much more than I ask it to do.

Top rate broadcasting software

Top rate broadcasting software. Updated frequently, controls are intuitive and did not take long to understand. Help is always available, which is also a huge bonus. Is it perfect? No, of course not--it still has some improvements to make, but i feel strongly that I made the right choice to go with xsplit for my stream

Embarrassing Performance

tldr: good interface with bad compatibility. Use OBS instead.

Xsplit broadcaster is an absolute joke. While I was drawn to it originally by its intuitive user interface, the technical issues began to trickle out once I had dug into the program and began using it full-time. Xsplit struggles to keep a consistent 60 frames per second with most games that have come out within the last several years. Mind you, my PC is running a GTX 980 with an 8th gen i7 and 32 gigs of RAM. It seems like I get better performance when I unfocus a window and then just watch xsplit do its thing while I'm not even playing the game. Once I refocus the window and begin to resume gameplay, I dropped down to an embarrassing 24 or lower frames per second in most cases with some higher demanding games. I have two years left on my subscription time and I don't plan to ever use it ever again. I have since returned to using obs since it seems to have far more stability with running games the way I need it too. I only stopped using OBS because I thought it's interface was bad, but it seems like that issue has resided since many updates have shown improvements vastly to obs.

Easy to use and nice to have a free…

Easy to use and nice to have a free option that lets you try it for as long as you want. I would move to the pay option though if I could figure out how to get things right with this one game I am playing but see no instructions easily found to get this done from the game or from the XSplit software.
