If I could I would put 0 stars, I put a job up on fixmycar, got a quote through, contacted the mechanic CMS SMART ltd to explain the issue better, he arranged to come out that same day, waited in for him, he didn't show, very little communication. I text him and he said he wasn't able to make it and arranged to come the next day, so I moved all my plans, again didn't show at the time agreed, I text to ask if he was still coming or if he would like to rearrange another date and time to which I had no response at all. I have emailed fixmycar as the mechanic is advertising through their platform and am waiting a response, I for one won't be using them again and as for the mechanic, if he didn't want the work then he should have not responded. I thought this would be a good way of getting the job out to multiple mechanics with out wasting a day calling round individually. Instead I've wasted 2 days sitting in for someone that had no intention in turning up. This was for a mobile mechanic.

I knew that my VW Golf SV needed its cam belt replacing. I also knew that although the Cam belt did not drive the water pump it was a wise move to replace the water pump and the belt that drives it at the same time. I asked my local garage to quote for this work which they did.
I felt their quote was a bit on the high side so I explored other options and hence came to fixmycar.

Every message from FixMyCar Clearly quoted for both the Cam belt and water pump being replaced and had this been the case in reality I would have saved just under £160.

I have no complaint about the garage that changed the Cam belt but when I came to collect the car only the Cam belt had been changed. In discussing this with the mechanic and principal of the garage who changed the Cam belt he explained that he simply ordered the cam belt and if it comes with a water pump he will change that too. He further confirmed that fixmycar use the same system to quote for parts and therefore they knew perfectly well that in reality only the cam belt was going to be changed - Hence my review title.

Easy to use, quotes came back quickly. Chose a company, arranged an appointment. No problems at all. Would definitely use again

They are the best, I drove down there from Willesden and I never regret going there. I will always return there to get my car fixed.

He arrived on time and was friendly and helpful. He carried out the work needed and also a couple of bits not included but I was happy to go ahead. he did a fantastic job at a really good price.

I received a quote back almost immediately. The price was better than one from Kwikfit. Booking was simple. Messages were concise and accurate. The work was carried out exactly as described for the right price. Overall it was relatively simple and a great service.

Absolutely terrible experience. The platform feels completely unhelpful when problems arise between customers and mechanics. Poor communication, misleading expectations, and almost no real support when you actually need assistance. Time was wasted, money was lost, and instead of helping resolve issues, they just send generic replies and avoid responsibility. Very disappointing service and definitely not a platform I would trust again for serious work. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value professionalism and proper customer support.

Needing some reliable advice and some quotes to assess, Fixmy car proved to be invaluable. I headed for West Yorkshire Motors and the major problem I had with the car was quickly sorted and I felt greatly reassured by the whole experience. I have no reservation at all in recommending them.

​I booked Morley's Motors via FixMyCar for a starter motor replacement. A price was agreed and a date was set. The mechanic confirmed he would source the part himself. However, on the day of the appointment, they failed to show up. I have tried reaching out multiple times via both phone and email with no response whatsoever. Disappointing service and a complete lack of professionalism.

Bogus company’s using this site and nothing can be done about it . Totally got ripped off . Took my car broke and brought it back broke - fix my car have said they cannot do anything about it . Would never use again -

So glad I looked at the Fix My Car website and even more happy that I took up the quote from MXK Automotive Ltd. Cannot praise them enough. Matt and his colleague did a first rate job on replacing the clutch and track rod ends.Arrived on time,stuck to the quote and left one very happy client.

I found the service easy to use I accept that sometimes the response time back from garages was slow but once I got a response from a garage the system worked very well,
