I redently purchased a Sportage GTLine which was nearly two years old. The whole experience was generally fantastic, only let down by slow response to post purchase query on battery caution indicator... See more

Wessex have a great friendly and helpful attitude. The sales team at Nissa are supportive and knowledgeable and offer sound advice. Also had a slick / quick tun around of all necessary documents
I would recommend them.
When I purchased my Kia Ceed the Salesman Noa at the Penarth Road dealership was very attentive to all my needs and requirements. I also purchased a 2 year service plan which was on offer for £350.00.
After 4 months I decided to upgrade to a Ceed GT Line. I then found out I was unable to transfer the service plan to my new car, and I was not allowed a refund. This was highlighted in the T&Cs but it was 4 months after I purchased my first car. The T&Cs stated any refunds or transfers had to be done within a 14day period. When I was told the service plan would go to the new owner I was very upset and angry. I asked the service department at Penarth Road if there was any way I could be refunded as I had purchased another same car but different model from the dealership. I was even prepared to pay any additional cost incurred but I was told that as Kia service is a separate entity from Wessex Garages so it was not possible for transfer or refund.
I then visited the Hayundai Wessex dealership also on Penarth Road in order to speak to the branch manager. I met with Jamie Hutcheon the branch manager and he was very sincere with his understanding towards my situation. He promised to speak directly to Kia and would do his best to resolve the matter.
Jamie contacted me the next day to tell me he had spoken with Kia and he had managed to get me a full refund minus an admin fee of £30.00, and that Kia would contact him shortly. A week later Jamie asked for my bank details as Kia had forwarded my refund to him. The money was in my bank account the next day.
I cannot thank Jamie enough for taking on this issue. He is a branch manager probably with huge responsibility, and a very busy man. The fact he took this matter on for me speaks volumes about his customer care. For me £350.00 would have been a lot of money to lose so again I would like to thank Jamie Hutcheon for his sympathetic understanding, his kind attention and the effort he made in getting me the refund.

I'd recommend Wessex Kia Penarth Road, Cardif because we experienced a thoroughly professional approach. N.B. Our salesman was Noa Hughes - a very impressive young man. We had been on the lookout for a newer Niro for some time. Took a while to findmonem that suited but got back to us as soon as one became available.
Harry was so helpful from the very first day right through the whole process.and up to the delivery day
and with the nightmare paperwork.lovely dealership.
Currently have my 4th KIA Sportage from Wessex Garages and 2 other cars so 6 in total. After service seems to be going largely down hill. An engine warning light has lit up orange on dash and apparently you should book in for diagnostic test asap to prevent engine damage. Today is 20 July. Earliest a diagnostic test can be done is 12 August. They suggested phoning Bath to see if it could be sooner there. End of September in Bath. They mentioned possibly Reading or Essex. So if I went to Essex that would be approx a 400 mile round trip for a diagnostic test on an engine fault. Apparently if the indicator turns red that is costly damage, which based on the wait KIA would be paying for. I’m now afraid to use the car so paying a month finance for it to sit on the drive. I suppose if they eventually find something wrong it will take a month to get a repair. Wessex KIA have gone down in my estimation as a good dealership. I did used to promote KIA to family and friends. Think I will now move to Audi, BMW, or Mercedes.
Nice service from staff, offered with good prices
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after my experience with Wessex Kia Gloucester, I feel other customers should be aware of the level of service I received.
I booked my 90,000-mile service directly through the Kia website and received a confirmed price of £160. When I arrived at the dealership, I was immediately challenged on the price and told it was impossible, despite having written confirmation from Kia. It was only after staff contacted the manager that they agreed to honour the booking.
I was assured my vehicle would be ready before 5:00 pm, as I had explained I needed to be home for a prior commitment. Throughout the day I called for updates and was repeatedly told my vehicle was being serviced. However, when I arrived at the dealership at around 4:40 pm, I could clearly see my car still parked outside untouched. It wasn’t taken into the workshop until approximately 4:45 pm, despite me having been told hours earlier that work was already underway.
The customer service I received from their staff member was completely unacceptable. I was repeatedly interrupted, provided with inaccurate information about my vehicle, and when I questioned this, I was told that he had other customers to deal with. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was dismissively told, “He’s over there if you want to speak to him,” and was expected to interrupt the manager’s meeting myself as he refused to get him for me.
What concerned me even more was that my 90,000-mile service appeared to be completed in around 25–30 minutes. This immediately raised concerns about whether all of the required checks had actually been carried out.
Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there.
After getting my vehicle home, I discovered oil had been spilled throughout the engine bay, and the underbody protection panel had not been refitted correctly, with bolts missing. It later transpired that one of the bolts had been snapped during removal and simply left that way. I had to have this rectified elsewhere because I had completely lost confidence in allowing the dealership to work on my vehicle again.
After reviewing the evidence I provided, the Service Manager agreed that the workmanship was unacceptable and authorised a full refund. However, even obtaining that refund has become an ordeal in itself.
I have experienced repeated broken promises, countless unreturned phone calls, delays, and poor communication. On more than one occasion I was told I would receive a callback that never came. I was even asked to send my card details by email so they could process my refund—something I quite rightly refused for security reasons.
At the time of writing this review, I am still waiting for my refund (over 3 weeks since my service was carried out)
This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. From the poor workmanship and misleading information to the lack of professionalism and ongoing failure to resolve a straightforward refund, I have lost all confidence in Wessex Kia Gloucester.
I chose an authorised Kia dealership expecting a high standard of workmanship and customer service. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite.
I cannot recommend this dealership based on my experience and would strongly advise anyone considering using them to think carefully before doing so.
The staff were very welcoming, listened to our needs , matched a vehicle to those needs, exceeded our expectations throughout the whole process and are still in touch after our purchase, highly recommend Tom known as little tom our salesperson ( although treated more like a friend) & Amanda the branch manager ..
Connor. W provided great information, guidance and support with queries on an EV5 test drive which has helped confirm our decision to go ahead and purchase this vehicle.
Thanks for your help Connor.
Fabulous Customer Service!
I called the garage to register my interest and ask a few questions about a car I had seen online . I called fairly late in the afternoon/evening but received a call back within 25 minutes. I spoke to Dylan from the start who answered my questions in a professional and friendly manner. I was then in regular contact with Dylan for a couple of days who replied back efficiently and quickly each time, always providing lots of information. I was looking at lots of cars across multiple garages but went with Dylan at Wessex Garages because of how valued I felt and that's all down to Dylan and his efficiency. would definitely recommend this garage.
Wessex Garages Kia Cardiff were great because I have yet again had fantastic service from them in choosing my next car. Thomas Pritchard was friendly, informative and enthusiastic about Kia, but didn't make me feel pushed or oversold at any time. Throughout the process I have been well looked after, and am loving my next kia car! The service department is excellent also, I have only used them for the last 7 years and wouldn't change this.
From the moment we walked through the door on our initial visit, to taking delivery of our vehicle, everything was handled in a very professional manner.
All questions were answered and made our purchase so comfortable.

The experience I had with Wessex Garages Cardiff was fantastic from start to finish. They kept me in contact throughout the whole purchase of my vehicle. The staff were so friendly.
Had a sitcom service for our Kia Niro 4+ team was very understanding and even when there was confusion over the issue with the system they did everything they could to fix the issue and I now have fully functional aircon again. Would highly recommend
Over 2 week waiting time for an emergency repair Pathetic!
We had an extremely positive experience. Thanks to the wonderful salesman Robyn, who was very knowledgeable, considerate and helpful. He was very welcoming and the experience was completely pressure-free. He was very laid back and gave us plenty of space to decide. Thanks also, to Anwar for his kindness and support.
