Excellent service from Watchfinder
Excellent service from start to finish. The only gripe would be they give you a starting price for your watch, then when inspected always knock a service charge that the watch will need.
Other than that the rest of the sale was spot on. DHL were excellent.

There is no case for recommending them
I simply can't recommend using them. The offers for purchasing watches or part-exchanging them are fine, but the entire process, including the way they handle collection and delivery, as well as the customer service, is subpar. Considering that other companies are offering similar prices, customer service and care are the most important part of transactions in the watch world nowadays. You can purchase and sell a watch everywhere nowadays. Therefore, if the part that is tied to a customer interaction is not a 12 out of 10, there is no reason to recommend anyone. As far as Watchfinder is concerned, they are not even close to being a 10 out of 10.
Update 13 August 2026: While my timepiece has been delivered, there has been no attempt to contact me, as per their reply. So please take this as an incorrect statement from Watchfinder when reading this review.

Watchfinder getting a tad too up-market for the likes of me?
The pricing of a Rolex upgrade/exchange for my wife was excellent...as was the watch she received. However the service was a little slower than usual due, probably, to staff holidays.
I was later disappointed when they refused to buy an excellent Longines because it was worth less than £2000. Perhaps they're getting a tad too up-market for the likes of me!

All watches undergo through inspection and authentication tests. This involves a full physical inspection of the watch at the component level including the crystal, hands, dial, bezel, case, crown, case back and bracelet.
In some cases, we may need to carry out work, such as polishing, or repairs, before we can sell the watch, however if we feel the cost of this is too high, or the watch does not meet our authentication requirements, we may decide not to go ahead with the purchase. Frankenstein Rolex Watch.
All the promises of inspection by accredited experts and 24 month guarantees etc. I say buyer beware. I purchased a gold ladies Rolex late last year as a christmas present. All looked OK but things started to go wrong early
In the new year. I live in Thailand so the option of sending it back to Watch finder was not realistic. I took it to the Rolex service centre in Bangkok. Essentially I have a totally Frankenstein watch made up of different watch parts including non- Rolex parts. It will not be cheap to repair but I will never purchase another watch sight unseen.

BUT. The gentleman in the tiny London store needs to be shown how to be civil to customers. I'm never rude, or impatient, to any staff, BUT, this chap made it VERY obvious that he couldn't be bothered.

I recently purchased a TAG Heuer…
I recently purchased a TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 02 Ayrton Senna from Watchfinder and I’ve been extremely impressed with the whole experience.
From the initial enquiry, the communication was excellent. Ed Brown was particularly helpful and professional throughout the process. I was able to discuss the price with him and, although we couldn’t quite reach my original offer, he went back to his manager and managed to secure a discount for me, which I really appreciated.
The watch arrived in excellent condition and was exactly as described. It came with the box, paperwork and accessories, and after inspecting the watch and documentation everything was exactly as I hoped.
What also gave me a lot of confidence was the service history from TAG Heuer, which was included with the watch.
I’ve bought watches before, but the level of communication and professionalism from Watchfinder made this a particularly enjoyable experience. I never felt pressured and Ed was always happy to help.
I’m absolutely delighted with the watch and would have no hesitation in buying from Watchfinder again.
