Vegan options have basically…

Vegan options have basically disappeared, all the vegan options are terrible. At least serve good vegan food like you used to. Awful, don’t think I’ll be coming back ever

Toni was amazing for a new starter!!

Went to the Telford Wagamamas and Toni who was new here on her 3rd shift was super amazing and very attentive to us. We had a laugh and a joke and she was brilliant at checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely come here again!

Loud music

Their food selection is reasonably priced, but the music is too loud. If you’re seated near other guests, all you hear is shouting, which makes for an unpleasant experience.

Over priced fast food…

We ordered three things at the Amsterdam Zuid Wagamama which we we told were not on the menu because they had run out of the sauce that went with it (cauliflower, prawns and salmon salad). That left us with few options - the menu is very basic. We then ordered the calamari which was dry, hard and rubbery. We realised then that Wagamama doesn’t cook its food from scratch but relies on bulk sauces arriving to them and frozen squid out of a bag. Shame on wagamama. Prices are very expensive for what is nothing more than a McDonald’s chain.

Gatwick Airport disappointing

Regularly visit Gatwick, normally great, told 15 mins wait, ok… moved to one side to let the staff member speak to the next customer … he them shouted ‘excuse me can you get back behind the line’ … left immediately … there is a way to talk to your customers and shouting in front of other customers is not that way …

Poor slow service from the Street…

Poor slow service from the Street Somerset branch
Minimal amount of meat in all of the 4 dishes we ordered
Server rude and double checked my son's ID despite him being with his parents and obviously being over 18 ( in England and Wales, it is legal for a 16 or 17 year old to consume beer, wine, or cider with a meal in a restaurant or other premises primarily used for eating, as long as it's purchased by an accompanying adult.) perhaps she needs to be updated on the law

I love Wagamama because it’s basically the definition of “feel-good food”

I love Wagamama because it’s basically the definition of “feel-good food” — like a hug, but with noodles.
The staff? Brilliant. They always have time for a bit of friendly small talk, which makes me feel like I’ve joined some kind of cheerful, delicious cult (and I’m totally fine with that).
The food is a mystery in the best way. Sometimes I try to guess the ingredients or calculate the nutritional value, but the real magic must be hiding somewhere deeper… maybe in the genius loci of the place. Or maybe they just sprinkle in an extra pinch of happiness. Either way, I keep coming back for more.

Terrible service and disappointing meal at Wandsworth Wagamama

I visited Wandsworth Wagamama and ordered Pad Thai with extra chicken. When my meal arrived, I was shocked at how little chicken there was — barely any pieces. I even separated them on my plate to check, and it was obvious that “extra” wasn’t there.

When I pointed this out to the staff, the server was rude and dismissive, insisting the extra chicken was already in the dish. After I challenged this, she eventually brought me more chicken, but threw the plate down on the table in an unprofessional, unfriendly manner.

Very disappointing experience. If you’re paying extra, double-check your meal, because you might not get what you paid for. Poor customer service and not worth the price.

Clink street Wagamama london

We have used a lot of wagamamas in the past and been very happy with our experiences however today we had one particular waitress whose customer service skills were sadly lacking. We arrived just after 5pm so the restaurant was fairly quiet. There was no one at the door to greet us and no notices regarding needing to be seated so we found a table outside of the restaurant and 4 of us sat down. A few moments later a rather unfriendly grumpy waitress comes up to us and says in a rude manner, that though we can remain where we are today in future make sure you come inside find a waitress and request to be seated. We know this, how? It was almost like being told off! Then when we ordered we expected drinks to come first but they didn't. Two of us got our orders and these were just dumped on the table with attitude without telling us what it was or asking who it was for so the wrong people got our order. Then 10 mins later dish no 3 arrived and then a further 10 mins the last person on the table got their order by which stage the rest of us had almost finished. After our meal no offer of dessert was made and bill was brought on request. The food was good which was comforting but it would have been nice if we could have all eaten together and the waitress had better customer service skills rather than looking and acting grumpy. As we left we heard her telling off another couple for seating themselves. If you don't want people to do this then have someone on the door or signs to this effect ie please wait to be seated it's not hard. So a very nice day was spoilt by one waitress, sad for such a big restaurant.

Cotswold Outlet Wagamamas Warning

We've eaten at a LOT of Wagamamas and usually our experiences are really good with both food and staff but we tried the new restaurant at the Cotswold Outlet and the service was awful. Food was good though.
We were left waiting to be seated while staff literally stood around staring into space. It was not busy.
They took a long time to come back and ask if we were ready to order, we had to flag them down.
The Pad Thai portion that came was significantly smaller than normal.
We ordered a tea stained egg that never came. We told a waitress but it still didn't arrive.
We asked for the egg to be taken off the bill (on principle) and didn't receive an apology just a 'sure'. The egg wasn't taken off the bill.
We then asked another member of staff and they were great and went and removed it straight away and then came over to confirm they'd done it. They were great.
No plates were cleared.
A serious lack of staff training here. The managers were very personable, friendly and efficient but the rest of the staff seemed completely disinterested, nervous and lacking in confidence.

On the evening of 26 July 2025

On the evening of 26 July 2025, we visited your Hammersmith branch to celebrate a special birthday. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing.

The service was unprofessional and unfriendly. The staff had visibly irritated expressions and made no effort to provide even basic courtesy. Despite the late hour and few remaining guests, there was no excuse for such dismissive behaviour.

A slice of birthday cake was brought before the main dishes, completely undermining the moment. The chicken katsu was so dry it was practically inedible — even a hungry child couldn’t eat more than a few bites. A request for sticky Japanese rice was ignored, and we were served the wrong type instead.

We paid full price and expected decent food and respectful service. What we received instead was careless, disheartening, and far below the standards expected from your brand.

This was not just a dinner — it was a special occasion, and it was ruined. I hope you take this complaint seriously and take action to prevent this from happening to others.

Regards,
A disappointed customer
