My experience relates to Vodafone Broadband in Ashford, Kent.
My experience is that Vodafone is a shockingly terrible company. It's the worst company and customer experience that I have ever encountered during my entire life. It's almost impossible to cancel your service if there’s any problem, even if you do it within 24h - despite the rubbish claims they make on their slick advertising.
FYI: I was contacted by Vodafone to 'edit my review', now trying to look good. NO WAY.
The fact is that I wanted to cancel because the customer service is AWFUL. I'm not fussy, but I decided to cancel once I encountered an issue with pairing the Wifi booster with the base station. It was not the technical issue that worried me, but the truly awful way they treat customers. It was a combination of incompetence and a complete and utter disregard for customers. All of their 'customer service' appears to be located in remote call centers and are handled by total clowns, who are very polite to talk to, but completely incompetent and disinterested in helping. I had to attend the Ashford (Kent) store on three (3) occasions to return my equipment and try to get them to cancel my contract after giving up on the phone help, but even that was tedious. On my last vist (on Saturday 6th July), I was in the store for almost two hours, because the only way they can help is to use the same, remote 'customer service' line! They simply WOULD NOT or COULD NOT cancel my contract - I'm not sure which one it is. I suspect they were trying hard to make sure that a few more days passed, so that I'd be outside the 14d grace period - after that they would be able to bill me for 2y of the contract, which would be 2x12x£38 = £912.
The only time that they seemed to move and do something to help was when I threatened to call the Ashford Police and report them for fraud.

Update on 17 July 2024. I thought this was now closed, but alas, I have today received a text message and email from Vodafone, saying that they will charge me if I don't return the equipment. I have retuirned the equipment several weeks ago and have written confirmation from the store. This company really is the most stupid and rude that I have ever come across. They just continue pestering me with emails and text messages.
Update on 24 July 2024, 3pm.
Vodafone continue to send me text messages and emails claiming that I have not returned the equipment. I called them and got put on hold for 22minutes and had to end the call. I walked into the Ashford town center and spoke to the Vodafone store manager Jo Lee. I mentioned to her that I had a signed letter from the store for returning the equipment - she remembers me, but does not know how to stop the texts/emails being sent!

Second time of trying to post this as Trust Pilot feel the need to remove the review - sort it out!
Went into the Ashford branch to enquire about a new business line as I’m fed up with my current provider O2. spoke to a lad called Grant who was more then helpful going through plans and explaining what proof of business I would need to set things up. I didn’t have the proofs with me so unable to go ahead but will 100% be going to see Grant the next time I am in the area.
