Once again a disgusting experience with Vietjetair. Their staff are the rudest people you'll encounter on your travels and don't understand basic decency. My bag was 0.2kg over and they deemed it nece... See more

To be honest the people who working on…
To be honest the people who working on the airport they are so rude and not listening our problems as well as not guiding properly....so disappointed with the members at
Tan Son Nhut Airport (SGN).
Having so bad experience with the airlines and their working staff..
The Vietjet Transit Trap. Approved in Manila, penalized in Saigon, and threatened with offloading due to their failed IT
Today was my first and last time flying with Vietjet! In 250+ flights from economy up to business class, I have never experienced such poor and unprofessional service.
At the check-in counter in Manila (VJ 859), they checked my bags, tagged them, and everything seemed perfectly fine. However, during my transit stop in Saigon (flight VJ 801 to Bangkok), the gate staff suddenly hit me with a penalty for my personal item (laptop bag), even though my carry-on was only 6.8 kg. Their reasoning: "We don't care what Vietjet says or does in Manila, this is Saigon and we have this policy."
Fine, rules are rules. But when I explicitly agreed to pay, their payment terminal didn't work. It took the staff forever to get a replacement, which then refused to accept both my American Express and my Visa card (both of which were perfectly fine and used just minutes before at the airport).
Instead of finding a solution, the gate staff started threatening to close the gate and leave without me because of their technical failure. Eventually, I had to ask a random, kind passenger to settle my bill and transfer the money to him via bank transfer.
The staff seems trained to enforce policies at all costs, even when their own infrastructure fails. Absolute nightmare management. Save yourself the stress and avoid this airline.
Affordable price
Affordable price. Fair services. Care staffs. Almost of my flights were on time.
Absolute rubbish airline and corrupt…
Absolute rubbish airline and corrupt staff looking for a quick money grab over basic shit. Terrible airline would happily never fly this airline again and would be glad to hear it’s gone under financially due to lack of people wanting to fly with Vietjet.
Very disorganized flight
Very disorganized flight! Especially didn’t like the extra charge for changing my name my ticket to add my middle name
The needle policy and the incompetence and lack of empathy of Vietjet’s staff seriously endanger diabetic travellers health.
Good morning,
On our flight on the 30th of April 2026, we took a flight (VZ416) from Chiang Mai to Phuket on which we were told to leave my diabetic needles and tubes as a checked in bag.
We argued with the manager on duty that this has never been an issue with any other airline and they told us it is company policy for “safety” - keep in mind that these needles are not even 5mm long so I do not understand whose safety is Vietjet referring to, but definitely not mine.
We were assured time and time again that Vietjet have many diabetic patients that fly with you and that we would have her bag handed back into her hands at the gate of Phuket. This did not happen. The safety and care you promised to take with her life-saving equipment was chucked into the luggage control like any other bag.
This is absolutely unacceptable and since then, I have used a whole month supply of needles in less than 48h, having to do many changes in my treatment because they have stopped working. Since speaking to my primary physician, she informed us that UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should the needles be kept in checked in luggage - backed up by the SIGNED DOCTORS NOTE that we gave Vietjet’s flight staff to emphasize that it could NOT go in checked luggage. The isuline tubes can freeze under extreme conditions, cause the plastic to harden and the insulin to leak - information we told Vietjet’s staff.
Due to this, our trip is now in danger of being cut short because of Vietjet’s complete disregard of the nuances of a chronic illness.
I put down my story because this is not an “oops”, this is something that can threaten my LIFE. I really hope that this doesn’t happen to no one else, it’s absolutely unacceptable, inconsiderate and irresponsible from Vietjet.
the worst airline I have ever flown…
the worst airline I have ever flown with in my entire life and the staff have attitudes like a pig. Disgusting
I had a very bad experience with this…
I had a very bad experience with this airline. It is one of the worst airlines I’ve traveled with. In India for checking they charge extra who gave the money they gave priority to them They don’t provide food — you have to pay extra for everything. They even charge for handbags and laptop bags in Veitnam airport which is very unreasonable. The staff was rude and unhelpful. After arriving in Vietnam, they kept asking me to open my luggage again and again for checking, which was very frustrating. Overall, it was a terrible experience.
The airline cancelled my direct flight…
The airline cancelled my direct flight from Bangkok to Hanoi last minute! Then I got a solution that was, book a different flight (double price) or rebook with the same airline but with a scale in Ho Chi Min which took from 2 hours (originally) to 8 hours! Once I got there, they made my paid for extra luggage... twice! For the scale as well. It was all so stressful and the staff was rude saying if I don't pay I can't continue the check in. I didn't make a big deal from it, I paid what they asked for but then once I arrived to the gate, they said that I need to pay again for the next flight which was annoying because they cancelled my direct flight in the first place.
It was the worst experience! I will never use this airline again!
Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever. I been flight thru a lot of different country. But VietJet is the worst. This is spontaneous trip that why i have no choice, and pick this kind of airplane. Rather Vietnam Airlines for the next time. Vietjet just let everyone from the back run to the front to get off earlier, not on line. Never recommended! If you want to piss off the whole time then pick this airline
Almost wasn’t let into my own country..
I got lucky with my international flights in regards to cancellation and rescheduling flights but wow holy shit the staff at the ho chi minh airport are HORRIBLE. Very stubborn and unwilling to help foreigners when I was in dire need of being let back into my own country and almost refused to let me get on the flight. The main lady at the help desk in ho chi minh needs a reality check, this is your job.
Worst airlines they just changed the…schedule
Worst airlines they just changed the whole flight schedule
NEVER fly with this flight
NEVER fly with this flight. I lost one of my luggage and when i asked the staff they were unresponsive, did not even try to help us. Told us that our luggage was still in Hanoi. As a tourist this has been one of my worst experiences in a country.
Worst airline ever
Worst airline ever, avoid if you can.
If plane is international they will try charge you if you want to move seats. Imagine a plane is at half capacity and there are seats available, if your try to move the cabin crew come over with a price list! It would have cost me over $700 US to move to an empty isle! Crazy.
They also do not accept debit cards, so we where not allowed to purchase meals or any water. Also prices for international flights double for whatever reason.
Please avoid if with family. Bad service and company see you as money bags. Will never use again.
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with VietJet Air. I was traveling on 8th April 2026 from “Hanoi” to “ Phu Quoc” flight number - VJ 451, and had the worst experience of my life .The cabin crew was extremely rude and arrogant throughout the journey.
During the flight, I was breastfeeding my baby and feeling nauseous. I politely requested a glass of water, but the air hostess bluntly refused and said that if I wanted water, I would have to buy it. This was shocking and completely lacking basic empathy, especially in such a situation.
Additionally, during takeoff and landing, the crew seemed least bothered about essential safety checks like seat belts and window positions. Their overall attitude towards passengers felt careless and unprofessional.
What was even more disheartening was the apparent discriminatory behavior. The crew was noticeably polite and attentive towards passengers from other countries, while Indian passengers were treated poorly. The difference in behavior was very evident and unacceptable.
I felt extremely disrespected and uncomfortable, almost as if we were being treated without basic dignity. This experience has left me deeply upset, and I intend to escalate this complaint further.
Very disappointed. Not recommended.
Very rude customer service.
I would like to raise a concern regarding my recent booking with VietJet Air.
This matter was handled by your supervisor, BUI TUAN DUONG CA TRUONG.
I understand that passenger names must match the passport. However, in my case, the issue was the addition of an English name in front of my actual passport name. The rest of the name matches my passport exactly, and I am clearly the same passenger.
This is not a change of identity, but a minor input mistake. Despite that, I was required to pay an additional SGD 330 to resolve the issue, which I find disproportionate given that my identity was never in question.
More concerning was the manner in which this situation was handled. The supervisor was dismissive and unhelpful, and there was no attempt to reasonably assess the situation or offer any form of assistance. The interaction felt unnecessarily rigid and lacking basic customer service.
I believe there should be reasonable flexibility for such cases, or at least a more proportionate correction fee, rather than treating it as a full name change.
I hope VietJet Air can review both the handling of this case and the level of customer service provided, and consider offering a fair resolution.
Thank you.
Worst customer service I ever…
Worst customer service I ever experienced in my life. The check in personal is rude and couldn’t care less about their job.
One flight got changed from 11:30 to 6:00 in the morning and on another flight, they changed the gate 40 minutes before departure and if you didn’t watch the screen above the gate you had no chance of realizing it changed. Instead of looking for us at the old gate, they walked there but only took a picture of the screen.
I really don’t understand why they train their employees this way but I can only recommend everyone to pay double the price and take another airline.
Never again!!!
If there was an option for zero stars I…
If there was an option for zero stars I would have chosen that. Do NOT travel with vietjet at any cost. Worst flight, worst experience ever. They always run late, never even offers you water(charge extra for that) plus the worst service and handling. It really sucks. Always delayed and late flights
Scammers
I booked with them six months ago from ho Chi min to cat bi airport I booked there first flight for the morning which was at 5.30 am because I needed to be in cat bi airport for a early pick up so I could be taken to a cruise I had booked.
I got to the Airport to be told that I had been transferred to a later flight . Which arrived to late for me to make my cruise. So whilst I was at the airport In front of the check in staff I went on the official vinjet airlines website to see they were clearly still selling tickets to the 5.30 flight that the had cancelled. So you can book a flight with them that you will never be able to take. But they will just take your money from you then when you ask them for a refund lol good luck. This airline cost me $2000 Australia dollars.
AVOID THEM UNLESS YOU LIKE TO WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
