Absolute chaos every time I fly
Absolute chaos every time I fly with vietnet, running around airport like headless chickens, changing gates 2-3 times. Told me they were putting me on earlier flight because my own flight was delayed and then the earlier flight leaves an hour after my original flight..other budget airlines can have poor customer service but at least they are organised and efficient
Absolute worst
Absolute worst. Delay after delay, terrible service, near the end of the flight people started ordering overpriced ramen, the entire cabin stank with it. On top of super annoying loud music came on. I was exhausted, hungry, very upset.
Awful airline. Don't!
Awful airline. Trust me, don't punish yourself by giving them your business.
I bought my ticket through an agency for a flight from Hanoi to Mumbai to transfer to Europe. At the boarding gate I was refused boarding as they said it was 'company policy' that I needed a transit visa for Mumbai. The Indian Government website says that you don't need one if you stay within the transit zone (I have transferred through Mumbai before so I know that you can stay airside). I had to book flights with a different airline to get home, which cost me about another €800. I was made to feel so humiliated at the gate and treated like I was holding other people up. They kept telling me there was noone to help me.
VietJet have refused to refund me, changing their story and saying that I had not booked the two flights on the same ticket (which I had!) and have persistently tried to say I had not understood the situation. Their emails were patronising and dismissive.
After several attempts to get a refund, and getting them all the correct documents together to prove that I had a single ticket for all my flights, they just started ignoring me. Their so-called customer service email is an awful experience.
I would certainly warn anyone who is planning to fly with them to reconsider.
They are not helpful at all and treat their customers with absolute contempt.
I am a regular flyer but this is without a doubt the worst airline I have ever had to deal with!
Don't put yourself through the awful experience I had - Asia has much better budget airlines with similar prices (e.g. Indigo, Scoot, Air Asia, Thai Air - use these instead, much better experience).
Very bad experience throughout the…
Very bad experience throughout the journey. No customer service nor any facilities to be used. Everything is business, you need to buy the seats if you want to exchange seat with the available seat, no charging port, have to pay for tea or hot water, no screen to watch.
Total bullshit!!
Absolutely the worst airline experience…
Absolutely the worst airline experience I’ve ever had. We paid $1,372 for return tickets and expected at least basic comfort, but this was beyond disappointing.
A 9-hour direct flight with no charging ports, no entertainment screens, and no in-flight entertainment at all is simply unacceptable. The seats were uncomfortable, and the overall service was poor. They don’t even give you water to drink🙄
What made it even worse was that there were empty seats available. We politely asked if we could move to one for a bit more comfort, but were told we had to pay extra. There was no flexibility or consideration for passengers.
For the price we paid, the experience was nowhere near worth it. I would never choose this airline again and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
0/10. One of the worst airline experiences I’ve had.

Once again a disgusting experience with Vietjetair. Their staff are the rudest people you'll encounter on your travels and don't understand basic decency. My bag was 0.2kg over and they deemed it necessary to pay for an extra kilo even though my other bags were 8 kilos UNDER. Utterly useless, just avoid and pay a different airline.

I recently used VietJet for a family member travelling from Australia to Vietnam and was very disappointed with the overall experience.
We paid extra to select a preferred seat in advance. However, at check-in we were informed that the seat had been changed because the aircraft had been replaced. While I understand that operational changes can happen, I was surprised that there had been no prior notification and that the paid seat selection was not automatically transferred to an equivalent seat.
When I politely asked whether the seating arrangement could be reviewed, the response I received from the customer service staff was dismissive and unhelpful. Rather than attempting to assist or explain possible options, I was simply told that any complaint should be directed to the airline.
My main concern is not that the aircraft was changed, as operational issues can occur with any airline. The issue is how the situation was handled. If a paid service can no longer be provided, customers should be informed promptly and offered an appropriate solution or refund process without having to discover the problem themselves.
Based on this experience, I found VietJet’s customer service standards disappointing and below what I would expect from an international airline. Unfortunately, this experience has reduced my confidence in using the airline again in the future.

They changed my flight without notifying. there was mistake from ticket counter staff and wrongly put barcode of other flight which was hr later. So he changed our ticket to that flight and we had to wait longer.
NEVER FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE.
NEVER FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE.
This airline attracts customers with low ticket prices, only to make up for it with excessive baggage charges.
The aircraft was uncomfortable, the onboard service was poor, and the overall travel experience was disappointing from start to finish.
I would strongly advise travelers to carefully compare the total cost before booking. Based on my experience, I will never fly with this airline again and cannot recommend it to others.
Worst Airline Ever!
Worst Airline Ever!
I recently toured Vietnam and our tour group were booked on an internal flight from Da Nang to Saigon. Unfortunately for us our flight was with Viet Jet. We got to the airport two and a half hours early but there was no control of the queue to check in. People were pushing in ahead of us and when ground staff from Viet Jet were approached by our tour guides, they did not care and appeared incompetent to control the lines. We ended up checking in after the 40 minute gate closing time as per their signage. It wasn’t until 10 minutes prior to the flight that check in staff panicked to get our group of 40 processed although our tour guides repeatedly told them of our group size. There were multiple staff who were behind the counters appearing to do nothing. We ended up boarding and taking off well after the designated departing time. Service in the air was terrible with the cabin crew not understanding the universal airline language of English. We had to point at the on board menus to order our snacks.
Overall, I would compare Jetstar as a premium airline compared to Viet Jet. As a result of the terrible and uncoordinated check in system, I emailed the CEO and senior management of Viet Jet with my observations and as of now (more than two weeks later) I have not received an acknowledgment or reply. I have now emailed their Melbourne office to be told I should receive a reply from the company? Would I ever fly Viet Jet again? Hell no, worst airline ever!
PAY EXTRA TO FLY WITH ANOTHER AIRLINE
PAY EXTRA TO FLY WITH ANOTHER AIRLINE!
Do not give this airline business.
$40 at check in desk and $110 at boarding gate!
Closing off on a brilliant trip in Vietnam, we encountered nasty staff at the gate. Bearing in mind we had already paid extra for luggage at the check in desk.
The only way I can describe the staff is like animals! They had stopped multiple people with bags making them pay extra, they purposely delayed the flights while they made people tap with their cards.
They were putting their feet and leaning on the scales to add more weight to the scales (they have multiple scales at the gate, like a printing money machine).
I have never encountered anything like this anywhere or at any other airport around the world. I can’t get over this experience, they were pulling out of people refusing them to fly until they payed extortionate prices.
Staff was so rude I would NOT RECOMMEND FLYING WITH VIETJET!
A TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Flight time changes less than 12 hours…
Flight time changes less than 12 hours before my flight, by 4.5 hours. Any other airline this should be a refund.
I went to a the desk to discuss it his with the ground staff. One didn’t speak English which is okay, passed me off to another staff member who was eating food and just laughed and didn’t greet.
Rude staff that don’t know how to handle conflict.
Absolute worst airline experience
Absolute worst airline experience. My flight was delayed twice with zero care from the staff. On top of that, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable and have terrible legroom. To make matters worse, the food is completely overpriced and poor quality. Save your money and your sanity — do yourself a favor and do not fly with this airline.
My experience was positive
It is sad to see just negative reviews on this airline as it got me very stressed when travelling SE Asia mainly Vietnam. But my experience of VietJet was nothing but positive, none of my 3 flights i took with VietJet was delayed, my 4th was but only by 20 minutes which is very standard for all airlines to happen. I get people have other situations and experiences but don’t let this just deter you from using this airline.
They stole money out of my bag that was…
They stole money out of my bag that was checked in. It was money collected from different countries and worth almost 0. Only emotional value, yet they took it. Never will fly with this company again ever
DO NOT USE UNLESS EXTRICTLY NECESSARY. You Will end paying a Lot more
DO NOT USE UNLESS EXTRICTLY NECESSARY. This is the worse airlines I have used (and I travel a Lot). Bad service and rude people. They charged US10 to correct a letter that was diferente in the reservation from My passport. You Will end paying more than flying in a much better airline
PLEASE AVOID
they make money by scamming you with their weight rules at the airport, PLEASE AVOID
Very Poor service and rude ground staff
1. All Ground staff behaviour is very rude, they do not listen anything and not able to communicate.
2. Inspite of confirm booking they changed the flight for mire than 5 hours without any confirmation.
3. My Carryon was much below but then they forced to put food item and water which I bought just to increase the weight so that they can charge additional money.
4. Even during checking they are saying to pay extra at checkin counter, otherwise they will scatter the seat.
I recently travelled with Vietjet Air…
I recently travelled with Vietjet Air and had one of the worst flying experiences I’ve had.
As a low-cost airline, I had low expectations, but the service was below even that standard. On the 8.5-hour flight to Vietnam, there were no in-flight entertainment screens, and the included meal was just rice with mixed vegetables and very poor quality. We received only 2 small bottles of water for free. Coffee and anything else had to be purchased. My seat also didn’t recline at all.
The return journey was worse. At check-in, the staff were extremely slow and appeared to be distracted on Facebook while processing passengers. It’s concerning to see staff on their phones during working hours.
The worst part was at the boarding gate. Staff weighed my carry-on, handbag, and my child’s backpack and claimed they were 2kg overweight, demanding $180 to proceed. When I pointed out that they had weighed under 7kg each at the check-in counter, I was told that if I refused to pay, the fee would double. I’ve never had an airline weigh handbags before – it felt like a tactic to charge passengers extra.
I wasn’t the only one this happened to; several other passengers had the same issue.
Overall, the service was poor, the staff were unprofessional and rude, and the experience felt focused on extracting extra fees rather than customer care. I would advise anyone flying with Vietjet to double-check their carry-on policies and be prepared for addtional charges.
Not a good experience...
Not a good experience.... international hote hue bhi itni bawaas seats... AC bhi sahi kaam nahin karte.... flight ki awaaz itni hai ki jaise kisi khraab gaadi main jaa rahe ho
