Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Basically they saved my GSD’s life. She had twisted bloated stomach, luckily we called the vets quickly. We turned up and they operated within minutes of us arriving. Lovely people, looked after her overnight and we picked her up in the morning. She’s now recovering at home. But 5 stars the vets were excellent

Saw my cat as an emergency at 11pm at night. My cat stayed in overnight and luckily felt much better the following day. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly, even when it was very busy with lots of poorly animals. However, vet's fees are not cheap and out of hours is even more expensive. Do make sure you get pet insurance!

Charged £298.50 for 2 minutes to be told my cat was fine. Extortion at its finest. I'd do anything for my cat if she was ill but to be charged the full amount when she's ok??? Shame on you. My insurance company and I feel we've been ripped off.
Update. You'll see the automated reply from them. My cat didn't have emergency surgery because there was nothing wrong with her!

Vets were lovely with my cat, only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the reception area had no staff to receive people comping to pick up pets so Lots of waiting around for someone to appear and check you in. However the care of my cat was excellent

Nick was brilliant. Very understanding of Ralphys condition. Usually Ralphy gets so worked up going to the vets, but was very happy going with Nick to be examined. Explained in great detail what was going on with Ralphy.

Absolutely fantastic service provided by the out of hours team. Phoned up reception panicking about my rabbit. They gave me useful and helpful advice to see if it would help. After 30 minutes I phoned back and they booked her in straight away. This was at 11.30pm. By midnight she was being assessed and the vet was fantastic with her. Would definitely go back if needed another out of hours emergency appointment.
