Prompt response - efficient service - very empathetic Vet.

Dreadful experience with a wild hedgehog I took to them for help. I said it had a scabby face and that I found maggots in the carrier it was in. They said they couldn’t find any maggots or anything wrong with the hedgehog and to release it back where I found it. When I got home I placed it outside to go free, but when it uncurled I saw maggots falling out of its ear and mites all over its face. I went back and showed pictures and a video of what I saw. I was told they would examine it properly this time and to leave it with them. I later got a call saying it had severe infection in both ears, they thought the eardrums were likely to be ruptured and there were maggots crawling from both ears. The kindest thing would be to put it to sleep as it must be in considerable pain. While I understand the outcome wouldn’t have changed, why was this not found on the first visit? The poor hedgehog had to endure 2 unnecessary 25 mile car journeys whilst in severe pain. No animal deserves to be put through such terrible treatment by anyone let alone medical professionals. I was so distressed and angry, if I could give less than 1 star I would.

The staff themselves were very nice however the fees are unreasonable and trying to sort out the insurance, very very stressful, long and painful. My dog required an xray after swallowing a fishing hook it was in the stomach so good news that it was not stuck in the throat. The cost of just this was a staggering 980 pounds including their insurance admin fee. We decided to leave it rather than have the operation and see if she would pass it the next day or so if not go back and have it removed. Thankfully it passed with no problems. The problem now is with the insurance. I have completed all the forms they asked for insurance purposes plus started a claim with my insurance. I waited and waited nothing so rang my insurance who said they are still waiting for vets now to respond. So I telephoned several times no one ever on the end of the line only a message service, leave several messages no one returns calls. Finally get a response via an email I sent, stating that I have not filled out their insurance form and my insurance have not contacted them with a claim. So I sent a screenshot of the email they sent me thanking me for returning the said form and a screenshot of my insurance claim started on said date with contacted vets now and awaiting response from them .
Still No response from them as yet. So I'm still out of pocket while I wait , utter shambles just makes me cry 😭
Update. Unfortunately your response to this review is indicating my main problem is with the fees when it is not. It is how you are responding to my insurance claim or how you are not dealing with it. You have responded on here but you have still not responded to my countless phone calls and emails to the said enquires team that you mention. I am still waiting

My dog was rushed unexpectedly out of hours after taking ill. Unfortunately by beloved boy didn’t make it . The staff asked me if I would like his paw prints done and a piece of his fur taken . Before leaving him they promised they would do this . On collecting his ashes I was not given his prints and fur and was told that they had been put somewhere safe and that someone would phone my when they came in and let me know when to collect them . No phone call ever came and I had to chase this up. When I finally got a response I was told that they had forgotten to do his . They could find everyone else’s but not mine from my dog. I was already heartbroken at loosing him but this made it so much worse. I trusted them or I would have done this myself and now it’s too late and something I will never get back. Absolutely heartbreaking. Awful thing to happen to anyone but this is utterly appalling !!!!
I would never recommend this service to anyone.

I took my poorly cat into this practice yesterday, where I had an in-depth discussion with a vet and I left my pet with them for treatment and tests. Sadly, Pussy received a diagnosis that meant I had to let him go. I was very upset but the staff handled the situation to the best of their ability. I highly recommend this practice: they know their stuff but just a quick tip to the staff - it's unprofessional to discuss a pet while their owner is sat in the waiting room. That aside, thank you for what you did for Pussy.

We had no choice to attend this vets as they cover all emergencies in Lincoln. The cleanliness in the waiting area wasn't good and everywhere looked shabby. The Veterinary Nurse who saw our dog was kind and caring, but the Vet certainly wasn't. She was quite abrupt and no empathy. Certainly wouldn't use this practice for my pets.

The vet was very explanatory and make good suggestions for our dog and what we should do next day . Very welcoming and the other staff were good at their jobs and efficient

Vat sat down without looking at my dog if it wasn't for my partner scouling at her she wouldn't of got back up, charged me £20 for one antihistamine tablet (he was stung by wasps) wasn't in there 10 minutes told to come back if anything changes, didn't check his throat or for stingers we removed two more wasps once we got home, price was ridiculous for the vet not to care at all , will be changing vets

Its very expensive £289 for emergency, but the care and speed of medical attention for our dog was excellent.

Dora, Alanna & Emma treated me and our dog Trudie with compassion, care and honesty. They reacted quickly and professionally, communicated clearly and worked tirelessly to ensure Trudie was well.

Excellent service and lovely people. We were seen quickly and everything explained well and kindly. Expensive but for an out of hours emergency service that makes a lot of sense. I have used them before and will not hesitate to use them again.

£280 ‘call out’ fee is ridiculous when a team of people are working a shift. Service and treatment was fantastic - would be 5 star but for that call out.

The attitude and care of the staff for both the dog and us was brilliant.

A puppy in my care was limping and showing signs of distress, vets now were very caring when I telephoned the reception staff were helpful when we arrived at the practice. The puppy was triaged soon after arrival. The vet who attended our puppy was very knowledgeable and helpful. Giving him a painkiller by injection and oral pain relief to cover until an appointment was made with our normal veterinary clinic

Fantastic vet, highly recommend this place. Vet listened to us as well as observed and assessed our dog. This was an emergency appointment which went smoothly and at our dogs comfort. Very happy with the service provided.

They were amazing with my dog TinTin. they we’re also really good at calming me down I hated seeing him in pain. After the vet did her checks etc she very Clearly explained what I needed to do until I could get him to our own vet tomorrow. On a personal note. I’m in wheelchair and I’m used to people looking down on me and treating me like an idiot. not one of the staff made me feel like that. The vet explained it in a way I understood but she didn’t make me feel inferior.
