Simple booking procedure, quick communication.

Easy enough to book. Only thing that would make it better is if full price was just quoted first of all without having to add on extras etc. Then getting to final price after adding everything on.

Daniëla is a sweet warm personality who handed us our place with great warmth and enthusiasm.

She also took the time to explain everything.

Also every day a nice personal conversation and tips about the area.

The campsite itself is in my opinion very simple and more for transit.

On the other hand, the nature around the campsite made up for it.

The clamping tents are quite simple but don't expect too much from them.

At least a big 10 for the staff.

BrandClean shower room and toilets.

Just spent 10days on a holiday park in France, although the unit was clean and the parks swimming complex was enjoyed by the kids our unit was sandwiched between the spa (noisy aircon units constantly running) totally overlooked by all the sunbathers on the roof of said spa..the camps toilet block,The facility storage for who knows what and the swimming pool paraphernalia and to top it off the staff quarters who like to party loudly all night every night, our rep was no where to be seen except for book in and to come and get the cash deposit from us!!

We want to give you from vacanselect 10 stars but can only give 5 because in Holland but also in Italy they helped us very good and give us good service.
The lady from Italy that helped us was very kind and helped us with everything we needed. We call a couple times for information and everytime she pick up the phone she was very helpfull you can hear and see that she loves her job she does everything with a big smile even if its very hot outside she stays friendly.
Keep doing the good work 💪.

The holiday village itself was wonderful.
But the VacanceSelect mobile home was a disgrace. Very old, water seeping from under an internal wall - we had to call maintenance 3 times on our arrival to get this fixed. The handle of the main door kept coming off in our hands. The shower door was broken, and the shower was full of ants every day. Cramped, grimy, felt very unsafe.

Really bad company to deal with. We found staff so rude, accommodation really poor standard and at the end of the week staff really difficult to deal with to get our deposit back despite the accommodation being left pristine. I will never book with them again it really ruined our holiday. Will never book with this company again. Euro camp is a much better company to deal with.

We arrived on a thursday.
We found a tshirt, a blistex and an empty coke bottle in our tent.

At night there was some kind of show between approximately 20:00 and 23:15 with very loud music. It was impossible for any of us to get any sleep. We hoped that The organized entertainment would be for just that one night. However, it was even worse last night. We contacted vacance select today letting them know that the noise was mind-numbing and that neither we nor our small kids could fall asleep through the noise. We asked for the possibility to be reimbursed for the remainder of our stay.
We we simple told that the noise didn’t exist as there was no organized entertainment from 20:00 onwards on the campsite, a blatant untruth.

This seems to be the same bunch as Tohapi and Canvas - which is why unfortunately I didn’t see the reviews - I booked via Tohapi, which uses ‘vacanceselect.com’.
Booked a holiday on La Grande Metairie in Dec for Aug holiday. In mid March I’m told the XL emplacements have all ‘been removed’, would I like a much smaller emplacement or a different campsite? Er no! Booked to be with friends and for a large tent. Having already booked ferries by that point though we’re a bit screwed.
Tohapi/vacanceselect say it’s all down to the campsite, they have control over nothing - but it appears they’re quite happy to take your money. Avoid.

Why do they ignore emails/phone calls???!!
I need to speak to high up management who can help with a big problem!!
Can SOMEONE please HELP, it is so stressful!!!!

I am not able to reserve 2 tents in the same time...:(

We were involved with a fire on our campsite. Vacanceselect have had our claim for our belongings since August, we keep on being told that someone will deal with it and no one does! From a very stressful holiday experience to failing to pay out when we lost all our belongings and no communication at all! DO NOT HAND OVER ANY MONEY TO THIS COMPANY.
