UTILTI SUCKS

Do not trust these guys

Do not trust these guys. Staff are not trained properly offering improper advise that has cost me thousands. Anything they do say, make sure you get in writing.

Enquired about moving my metre.
The agent said it would be free up to 1m.
Knocked my wall out and created new stud work.
No they are saying they have never heard of it being free up to 1m and want to charge thousands.

Worst part is, the accept responsibility and offered me a maximum of £25, followed by a maximum of £50, followed by an “absolute maximum” of £70 before offering me there maximum of £80.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Ombudsman here I come.

I wish there was a 0 star option

I wish there was a 0 star option.
Was contacted by a cold caller promising to save me money if I changed to go with them. Was told it would work out cheaper for me if I took my energy, broadband and a mobile aim card (that I did not want) with them.
My electricity bill has now doubled! Even though the smart meter was never installed and they never call for readings. Called up and no help, just got told I owe the money and that’s it. £145 for a tiny two bed cottage with only me and a baby as my partner is always at work. Broadband barely works! And being charged £10 a month for a SIM card we don’t have as we both have contract phones. We’re in the middle of buying a house, I’m heavily pregnant and have a 1 year old. Just extra stress and payments we do not need right now. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Nuisance caller...

I am persistently called by these people... I have reported their calls as a nuisance caller and have blocked their number from calling my mobile - HOW DID THEY GET IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!?
Yet I still get voicemail messages from them STOP!!!
I DO NOT WANT TO SWITCH AS I HAVE DONE MY OWN HOMEWORK!!! I've never been on their website before either

Pushy sign up tactics
What savings, our bills are enormous! Were not informed of last years price hike!
My husband signed up his mother (before we realised how rubbish they were) she could not be signed up without an e-mail address, so the Rep used mine! total breach of GDPR regulations, I wrote to them, ignored so they can hear from the ICO now.
We are moving house, so wanted to leave them, 6 days to go until 2 year contract up charging us £158 to leave, because of the light bulbs - we could have lit our house for the next 100 years for that price.

Total waste of money, sham service AVOID!!

Ben reed deserves a promotion

Ben reed deserves a promotion! He was so helpful and good at his job. He made everything so simple. Fantastic bloke and brilliant telephone manner! Employees like him really make a business run smoothly, be grateful to have found a top bloke like him!

Helpful

Helpful, efficient and straightforward. Russell was extremely polite and supportive. He was able to give us the best rate in the market, negotiating the price with the suppliers on behalf of us. Would definitely recommend the company and his service.

BEWARE RATES NEGOTIATED SKY HIGH !!!!!

We run a micro business and we are both pensioners. We have used Utilitywise for several years and always find the telephone operators pleasant, However, they seem to have somehow negotiated our new prices with British Gas in July 2018 ?? They rang me last July and advised me they were attempting to secure me a good rate !! Came back a day later that yes hooray they had negotiated a better rate than originally quoted. I now realize what a fool I have been agreeing to this - as now I'm LOCKED IN to a new contract for May 2019 lasting FOUR YEARS which has a hugely hiked up price which when they call you ( often your not at home when these calls take place so your unable to check your current rates ) you often just agree with them thinking they have your YOUR BEST INTEREST at heart ! THE ONLY INTEREST THEY HAVE IS TO MAKE MONEY FROM UNSUSPECTING CLIENTS! ( The energy companies are happy to pay these sharks as they negotiate high deals with us unsuspecting customers ) We are now STUCK with these rates - my advice just contact your supplier yourselves - do not deal with these SHARKS !!!!

Really Impressed

We have received excellent service from Utilitywise. Our consultant, Mark Wilson, has gone above and beyond in sorting out the contracts we had in place and saved me a lot of hassle and money. Very friendly and knowledgeable, I would highly recommend.

Always someone different on the phone, but no system for other operators to access enquiry or account details. A painful waste of time.

Avoid! waste of time and money! Their service is a joke!

I used utilitywise to secure best deal for my business bills. I spent hours on the phone providing all the details they needed for a swap of suppliers in May.

The swap was meant to take around 6 weeks.

After number of emails that I sent chasing it up it turned out they lack competence to do what they claim they do.
The replies to my emails usually started-'' Sorry I was out of office.... I will chase it up...

At the end I realised they are not capable of doing their job and I asked for all the changes to be cancelled.

That was at the end of September- over 12 weeks after I agreed to terms and conditions from the new supplier.

It turned out that they never contacted my current supplier to arrange for the changes....

I can imagine I lost a few hundred pounds as I was on standard-most expensive tariff for the whole duration of this joke!

Waste of 4 months, hours on the phone and a lot of money!!!

I have been dealing with Utilitywise…

I have been dealing with Utilitywise for over 12 months, David Southall has been a superb support to me and my business, trying to arrange extremely competitive rates for our utility supplies for 5 sites. David took the time to fundamentally understand what was important, analyse where we were currently spending the bulk of our usage and suggest some great alternatives that not only were commercially beneficial, but also sustainable. The energy audit that Utilitywise also conducted was very beneficial to look at potential opportunities for more sustainable savings and capital investment. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Constantly bombarded with phones and emails thanking me for my "purchases" even though they have been told we sold the related property two years.
Another thankyou email today again !

AVOID EVEN TALKING TO THEM !

DO NOT GET THEM TO EVEN QUOTE OR YOU WILL BE HARRASSED NON STOP SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK BY NEW EMPLOYEES JUST TAKEN OVER YOUR ACCOUNT YOU NEVER HAD WITH THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE AND WHEN YOU TELL THEM YOUR IN A CONTRACT FOR 2 YEARS AND DO NOT WISH TO HAVE ANOTHER QUOTE THEY STILL KEEP TELLING YOU THAT BASICALLY YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO DO YOUR JOB AS PRICES ARE GOING UP DESPITE YOU GETTING A QUOTE FROM THEM IN THE PAST THAT WAS WAY OVER WHAT OTHERS QUOTED YOU DIRECTLY. USE THE BIG COMPANIES LIKE BRITISH GAS, EON, SCOTTISH POWER AND ENPOWER AND AVOID THE BROKERS. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DONE WITH MY 2 COMPANIES OVER THE YEARS AND IVE SAVED A FORTUNE. SOME BROKERS EVEN HAVE A CLAUSE IN THE CONTRACT STATING THEY CAN PUT YOUR FIXED PRICES UP IF THE MARKET CHANGES SO READ THE SMALL PRINT AND BE WARY OF THEM.

Very disappointed with this company!!

Very disappointed with this company!!

I am shocked to find out how unscrupulous, corrupt company Utilitywise have turned out to be. Having promised savings we are stuck in a long term contract that has resulted in us paying twice what we were paying before. We have been miss-sold a contract and no help has been provided by our account manager. For the nine months before Utilitywise revised our contract with HAVEN Electricity we paid £25,418 for our electricity supply- after their "help" the next nine months prices have increased to £50,454....BE WARNED!! Do not use this company!!

We were hounded during the agreement process however the support is non existent once they lock you into a miss-sold contract, with hidden rates and you are left with ridiculous energy bills!!

The complaints procedure is non-existent!! You can't get anyone on the phone, emails are not responded to and if you do speak to someone you are told "Sorry we cant help!!" My managers review has also been forced off from Trustpilot which is appalling.

Utility Wise took the hassle out of Energy 'shopping'. In particular, Ben Reed. He was extremely helpful finding us the best deal on the market and he required little information from us to do so. I provided him will an old bill from our current supplier and he did the rest.
