Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 176 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the payment process, often feeling that charges were unfair or excessive. They frequently encountered issues with the pricing, describing fines as excessive and noting additional, unexpected fees. Reviewers also found the staff unhelpful, particularly when dealing with appeals and customer inquiries. The location of parking signs was often unclear, leading to fines for parking in restricted areas or bays not clearly marked for specific users. Additionally, many people reported that their claims and appeals were denied without proper consideration, even when evidence was provided, and some received strongly worded letters despite having paid or having strong cases.

One of the most disgraceful company

Most disgraceful company, I provided all evidences and got the pcns cancelled in the store as I worked there as a contractor. They just simply ignored to cancel at dept recovery plus and I've got ccj .they didn't even have the decency to notify me about the court case because I would walked in with the cancellation emails. Hope one day someone will be able to hold them accountable.

the 4th of march 24 i started my first complaint with this company about me paying for a parking permit, for my car in Apsley LOCK hp3, I HAVE HAD A VERY POOR RESPONSE AND OVER A YEAR LATER I AM STILL CHASING why am i paying for a parking permit, when no one else does, there are no wardens to stop anyone from parking there as many do get the train into London and don't get any tickets but us that live there carnt even get a parking space even thou we pay for that privelege. The customer service never answer the phone and is automated so you never ever get to speak with anyone on the phone at all. so this is the worst parking company i have ever had the fortune to come across.

We parked in Asda (Cheadle Hulme) with only four disabled spaces that were all taken so I had to park a little bit over the line in a parking bay to allow my mother to exit the vehicle on the passenger side, someone came along, took a picture and then sent us a fine through the post. Absolutely disgusting the Asda of Cheadle Hulme allows this company to discriminate against disabled people.

Don’t trust UKPC

I parked in a bay avoiding the marked X box, although it was worn it was clearly visible, received a fine for parking between 2 bays (which was the only way to park to avoid the box. Appeal rejected, I appealed to POPLA, that was a waste of time, they didn’t even acknowledge my point. Fine has increased from £60 to £100 as the appeals took me over my grace period for the lower rate. Furthermore, 2 weeks after my appeal the bay I parked in had been properly re-painted, so it was obvious where to. These people are disgusting, cowards, you can’t speak to them on the phone. I will write to my local MP, this blatant disrespect for honest citizens should be reviewed.
ps They charge £1.50 for the privilege of paying and £2.00 if it’s a commercial card, that’s on Debit cards too, robbing bastards!

UKPC parking fraud

UKPC parking fraud

On 5 May I parked at the Pangbourne Working Mens Club car park in Pangbourne and paid £1.50 for a maximum stay of 2 hours. I have the parking ticket and the charge on my credit card as proof that I paid. UKPC
decided to send me a parking fine. Seriously? This clearly is an attempt of fraud to make extra cash of people who followed the rules and paid for parking probably in the hope people lost their proof of payment or parking ticket to make an appeal. If you pursue the fine I will take legal action and let’s see if the press might be interested in your fraudulent tactics.

My daughter who arrived with her own car, parked at the same time and also received the fine. This is outrageous.

Recommendation: Avoid ever parking at UKPC controlled car parks if at all possible and especially at this one!

Should have option of ZERO!!

Should have option of ZERO!!!
How the hell is this company getting away with the fraud they are committing?!
Used the car park got a ticket via THEIR machine received fine for not paying! Emailed them proof of payment etc they came back and said we had put wrong licence in the app. We DIDNT use the app we paid on the machine! They apologised their mistake we could just pay the £20 admin fee!!! Are they ok?
Why would I pay an admin fee for a letter that shouldn’t have been sent to me! Emailed them back to say same thing no reply then get a debt collection company letter sent to me called them they were rude and basically said tough! Read so many reviews of people saying they had no choice but to pay and ended up paying hundreds, this is actually fraud, harassment and theft

Complete scamming parasitic scum

Complete scamming parasitic scum, had an invoice for not parking in box, ie slightly on kerb due to vehicle next too me being too large for their space etc, not interfering or obstructing anyone, appealed declined appeal to governing body decking even though signage inadequate. Would have liked to have gone to court with these low life’s but unfortunately it’s not worth the time, I really hope that at some point these scumbags get shut down and they have their assets seized as proceeds from illegal activities.

Worse than rats or seagulls

Worse than rats or seagulls. This company are disgusting and should cease to exist. It’s a money making scam. I was charged unreasonable amount for ‘parking over the bay’. The signs had tiny text. I parked in the only available space at Aldi which was an awkward angled, irregular shaped space which was a very difficult space to park in. The trangular area which i supposedly overlapped was not even a space and caused no obstruction to people or cars. I appealed and they were unreasonable.

I have since observed how these people operate. They are ruthless thieves with very poor conscience. Over christmas they were targeting every car. There was no warning. It was awful.

Awful company that don't care

We parked in a free car park. In a child bay with our 4 month old baby. We were forced to park half a tyre over the marked bay line as the car next to us had already parked partly in our bay (which you could see on UKPC's evidence pictures!!!!) we had to park like this in order to get the baby car seat out. But shock, they didn't give a sh&t. Judging by other reviews, they will cause you to get a CCJ, which simply isn't worth it for for me. Forced to pay them. HATE IT

No parking ticket given at the time and notice through post ten days after issue, almost too late for the "early payment discount." Claims outdated Disabled badge. The badge is valid until 2028. Persecution of Disabled for gain by profiteering parasites.

An absolutely horrid experience

An absolutely horrid experience. This company makes it so easy to pay a parking charge fine but makes it so difficult to appeal the charge. This is such a bas and unfair method that the local councils need to rise up against and make a point to not let such companies take advantage of vulnerable people and local citizens. The local council has it's part to play here too.

Even their lettering and correspondence is so sneaky and difficult to read. The website to appeal and experience to appeal against charges which, in my case anyway, is totally wrong and false is so difficult to use. And why is it on a different website altogether? Why is the writing so small? Why is the website hidden in a long paragraph. The content design needs to be reviewed and made easy to read.

Even the waiting time of a response from this company is such a long time that someone could potentially forget and end up being charged a much larger amount.

This company is just in here to make money off vulnerable people and the local councils are helping them in achieve this. Absolutely disgusting set of morals.

UKCP Parking in Pangbourne.

Parking in Pangbourne.
By entering the carpark you are agreeing to a legally enforceable contract. Reading the signs and going to their website and Google search I've been unable to find the contract I'm agreeing to. As such would that even be enforcable?
I know some carparks have a "get a ticket in 5 minutes" time limit. By the time you're parked, tried to decern from the poor signage if blue badge holders have to pay, found some money to pay and struggled back to the machine I think more than 5 minutes have elapsed.

I think "fit for purpose" isn't a phrase that would ever fit!

If I could rate 0 stars that's what you…

If I could rate 0 stars that's what you would get. After receiving a letter of final notice I tried to ring as I never received the 1st original letter and you can't speak to an actual human I then emailed and received nothing back so emailed again few weeks ago and just had an email to say they can't accept my appeal as it's past the date (they took weeks to reply) but I wasn't trying to appeal it I was just stating I will pay the original fine not the final reminder amount. They will not be getting a payment from me I will seek legal advice on this. Hate rip off scamming parking company's.
