I LOVE UGears! The models are fantastic with precision engineering and clear instructions- if you have a keen eye for detail. This is my 10th model and I can’t wait to make it. They all work and are gorgeous to watch.

Thoroughly enjoyed building the horse mechanoid , and great satisfaction when completed the final working model But do take your time to follow the instructions carefully- one incorrectly fitted part can prevent things working! And use plenty of wax where indicated, and also as a lubricant to allow parts to clip together as required.

Second to none , amazing people

Great products easy to follow instructions. Only have two small gripes. 1 why can't you supply the models with the correct size rubber bands? It's a real pain and fiddly process curling large ones down to size and trying to get them the correct size. 2 I did break 1 tiny piece when building a model. And there was no spare part to replace it there were plenty of replacement parts that weren't necessary. I now have a model that I cannot finish because of this issue.

This second model I am doing is much better to remove the bits but it’s still very enjoyable to do these models better than the plastic ones

Ordered a model before and great quality very easy instructions. Only 3 stars as ordered another model for the bank holiday and paid extra for a Saturday delivery only to be told they had missed my order in the warehouse and would have to wait another 5 days. Was totally gutted.

The model is amazing , couldn’t quite believe that we didn’t need glue, but we didn’t. The instructions are so easy to follow .Absolutely amazing. Will be buying more for Xmas presents.

Oh and delivery was pretty fast.

I’ve made three of these brilliant kits, the Hurdy-Gurdy, steam train and the windmill.
I made the windmill on the table in my conservatory. Big mistake! For about a month the model was exposed to the sun. When i finished it and wound it up it worked and then the next winding after about three turns all the elastic bands broke simultaneously. They had perished. This is my fault, I shouldn’t have had it in the sun for so long. It would be great if Ugears could come up with bands that didn’t perish so quickly.
One tip. Wax everything. I really can’t fault Ugears, they are superb.
