Train cancelled due to strike. No other trains available all day. Refused to refund me. Raised dispute through bank and they tried to block refund. Fortunately the bank won. Absolute crooks.

Absolutely awful services
Absolutely awful services. I had paid ticket on a commuter train to Florens and didn't noticed I went on an earlier train so I had to pay a fine of 60€. Ridiculous!
Check the train ticket please….
I am travelling from Lamezia Terme to Naples with IC 724, on Saturday August 24th
In the first class the seating is comfortable, there is enough leg room and air conditioning system works very well.
I am giving 3 stars to this experience and to Trenitalia because it is unacceptable that nobody came to check if we have a valid ticket to travel. A train assistant passed by 3 times without asking anything. This is crazy!
The second aspect to improve is to communicate or include in the digital ticket via App the train composition to understand where to board on the platform. In Lamezia was the caos to understand which coach to board and where.
Normally I not do this
Normally I not do this, but I had a terrible situation and I wanted to told about my disappointment.
I wanted to take a bus from Polignano A Mare to Alberobello. The driver of Bus number 8013 at
16:05 behaved terribly. There was no information anywhere that tickets could not be avaliable to buy from the driver or that the address of the bus stop had changed.
And the driver did not speak English, ignored us, was rude and wanted to throw us (me and a whole group of other tourists) off the bus. He did not care about anything at all. I saw that he treated others like that too.
Being a kind person is sometimes too much, as you can see.
Fortunately, there was a very lovely and nice woman there who helped us.
P.S The driver did not take care of the safety of the journey because he was constantly talking and looking at his phone.
Pleasant journey
The friendly and helpful staff made my trip so easy and comfortable. I love the clean trains and the option for a quiet car, if you so desire. The price was worth it too. Thank you and see you again soon.
One of the worst train experiences…
One of the worst train experiences ever! More than one hour in stuck and still waiting! They said its gonna be a 10 minutes delay we are here waiting for more than one hour!
Avoid at all cost!

IC727
The train no. IC727 from Rome to Siracusa has no toilette accessibile. They are out of orders, without water and flushes. I don't know how possibile is to use trains in such non human conditions. Families, children not allowed to use WC until the end of this very long trip.

Ignorant arrogant staff
Ignorant arrogant staff. paid for first class everybody and litterly their dog in the cabin.
No accountablity awful bunch of scum bags who on their complaints form have removed UK as a country as they must get so many complaints .
A/C switched off so boiling in the booth.
They obviously don’t care about their reputation as they per their very low ratings. What a buch of money grabbing bandits. My advice just pay for the extra flights .
Refund for cancelled trains
Cancelled trains, which happens. But. The process of getting money back for this is a complete joke. It's probably set up in a way to exhaust people so we don't bother. The line to customer service is endless and takes many hours. Once you get help, you need to fill out forms and it's like a show from the 80's. Fax machines were being used. I had written down all requested info on said forms; ticket numbers, where the refund should go etc. Nothing else was needed. Once settled I got a ticket that confirmed everything - I kept the receipt . This was in June - still haven't got my money (30 Euro).
Reached out to their online service center. Had to give them all info all over. But the handwriting on the ticket were difficult to interpret, they couldn't find this case. No way for me to send them the actual ticket so they could have a look themselves. Asked for the actual train tickets, which I didn't have, as all info were written down in the case (ticket number etc). Were asked to fill out another form. Don't have the time or energy - Trenitalia, you win this time, but we won't ever meet again.
From now on, Spain will be my first choice of travel. From a tourist perspective it have so much more to offer.
Lack of empathy and nasty.
I’m from the UK and we were struggling to purchase tickets but as we were going home, we needed to board that train in hopes we can purchase it. We were charged 50€ penalty each. The card machine kept declining and made me believe it was my card. It wasn’t. We were forced to get off the next station (Termini) I was like I know my card is going to work and it did. I was able to make many purchases after. I even showed the Iady I had sufficent funds. If anyone needs to pay for the whole ticket/penalty please do it at the ticket office and not at home. It cost me 100€ per person. The lady didn’t even give my husband an invoice but did for me. I hope there is no problem.
never again
the worst trains i've ever travelled by, every information is last minute, and the tickets CHECKED IN AND VALIDATED DISSAPEARED we had an over 5 hour trip and suddenly the tickets are just gone and theyve told us to buy new ones. Terrible.

The bus today to and from Alberobello, the staff at either end gave tourists, like myself, no help whatsoever.
They preferred to check their Facebook or talk to friends.
As there are no signs anywhere, a little help and smile would go a long way.
The staff I came into contact today were the most unprofessional I’ve come across in all of Europe.
Train cancellation with no way back home
I was supposed to take a train from Sicily to Milano, where I would have spent a day before going back home (in France) by bus with my sisters. However, the train was cancelled. We had to cancel our AirBnB in Milano and our bus from Milano to Annecy. We also had to find another way back home urgently, since we were stuck in Sicily.
When we went to the train station, the employee refunded the train but refused to refund the money we lost in cancelation fees for the AirBnB and the bus we had to take later. He did not offer any way back home either, since all the trains were full. The employee was very cold and asked us to stop complaining and to ask for an additional refund online. However, now that we had a refund in cash of the train (and not of the rest), the website won't let us fill in a complain!! Your employee straight up lied to our face while we were in distress, far from home with no way back and loads of lost money!!!!
We had to book a plane to Geneva (where our parents could fetch us by car) with extra luggage, to compensate for the missing train.
We wanted a refund for the extra fees we had to pay. We were given €176.70 for the price of the initial train, but we had to pay:
-€159.68 for an AirBnB in Milano we couldn't use due to the cancelation.
-€163.68 for a bus from Milano to Annecy that we couldn't use either.
-€18 for a bus to Palermo airport, where we had to take our plane back home.
-€487.20 for the plane we used instead of the train to get back home.
We've lost so much money that we couldn't budget for just because Trenitalia couldn't give us an alternative back home or back to Milano 😭 They were required by European laws to give us an alternative but they just didn't.
And I still can't get over the fact that their employee LIED to stop dealing with us, telling us to ask for the rest online while he literally made it impossible to by dealing with the first half of the complaint himself...
incompetente.
No Assistance, Terrible Customer Service, Delayed Trains & Trip Cancellation
We are extremely disappointed with our experience on Trenitalia. There was quite literally no service or help for our trip interruption, and no way to contact someone for delays outside of our control. We tried everything - calling up the phone number on the app, running around the station for an info desk/help center, but there was no one available to help.
We would highly recommend avoiding this train line for people traveling around Italy in the future.
We were placed on a different train heading to Bologna from Roma Termini on July 12th, 2024 #9668, and we did not have the seats that we were promised in our reservation. There was no coach 10, so we had to split up our party and sit in coach 8.
The platforms the trains arrived on did not match with what was listed on the app. The platform assignment was random, and we were left frantically running around the station up and down stairs with 4 heavy check-in bags.
The train #9668 to Bologna was delayed, so our connecting train #32149 to Ravenna was missed, which was the last train out to Ravenna that night. No one was at the Bologna station to assist us. We had to purchase a last-minute hotel overnight for an extra 400 euros.
We are incredibly upset with our experience with Trenitalia, as the delays and poor service interrupted and ruined our travel plans.
Train was cancelled because of strike
Train was cancelled because of strike. Bad management still sell the ticket. We got 2 cancelled in the morning and evening. Hard to get refund. Line was very long. They can’t handle it. Unprofessional. Everybody on traveling had to wait the time. My plan was cancelled. Soo dissapoint.
I am sitting inside treni for 45 minutes no compensation I loss my appointment bad company
I am sitting inside treni for 45 minutes because of treni is delay I loss my appointment no compensation bad company
worst experience and rude attitude
My recent train journey in Italy was disappointing. The lack of assistance at the station, rude ticket checkers, and a hefty fine for a missed pass addition left a negative impression. I won’t be recommending Italy’s trains to others. Additionally, the frequent delays on short routes were frustrating.
Overall, I will give this Italy experience negative points.
Avoid traveling to Italy in train when possible.
Terrible experience and service
Terrible experience and service. my 9-year-old daughter and I had bought a ticket for the train. the machines for stamping the tickets at the station were without electricity! so we could not stamp. when the inspector came we explained the problem to him but he was not interested and wanted us to pay a 50 euro fine! when I refused we were dropped off at a deserted and broken down station where the ticket machines didn't work and the ticket stamping machines were smashed! we later heard that there are many who today 06/07/2024 have had the same problem! lousy service!!! we took the trip to experience a bit of Italian everyday life, but we've already had enough and we didn't even finish the train ride😖
