Simran checked myself and my daughter…

Simran checked myself and my daughter into the King’s Cross royal scot. And I would like to say she is amazing. She made my daughter feel special and my daughter spent our remaining time looking for her. She was kind, thoughtful and caring. She added personal touches that I would never expect in London and made part of our trip unforgettable.

As for the room it was small which was expected. However the dirty cutlery in the room and the personal belongings from the previous guest was disappointing.

I paid for the breakfast upon arrival and was disappointed when they could not find my room number to confirm. However myself and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and room and will look to stay here in future visits to London especially if simran is on the front desk.

I had such a lovely experience at Travelodge Ilford Gants Hill and I especially wanted to mention Jayne. She was genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve come across — so warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and she made me feel comfortable and welcome from the moment I arrived.
It’s people like Jayne who really make a difference to a stay. Her kindness and lovely personality really stood out to me. Thank you, Jayne, for being so wonderful — you’re a real credit to Travelodge!

£300 Stay, yet even parking costs extra.

We stay in Skegness. There was no toilet brush provided in the bathroom, which I found quite surprising. How are guests expected to properly clean the toilet without one?

The information regarding the car park on your website was also misleading. We were very surprised to find out on arrival that parking had to be paid for separately. Considering we paid around £300 for our stay, I find it disappointing that the hotel could not include a £10 parking charge within the booking price. It gives the impression that the hotel is more focused on extracting additional charges from guests than providing good value and a positive overall experience.

Poor quality toilet paper, soap was diluted with water, and WiFi only 30min?

Booked and paid for a double room but…

Booked and paid for a double room but got a twin room. Was told that this was because it was fully booked. I explained that I had booked weeks in advance so was offered a refund voucher that is supposed to be emailed to me. I would prefer to have a full refund to my card. It was very noisy and bed was uncomfortable and had debris and hairs under the cover that I had to remove before getting in. I paid for an additional two breakfasts for family that had not included in their booking. There was no eggs or mushrooms and what Limited food that was available was cold and very hard to chew and digest. Staff were informed and complained to but did nothing. My Aunt refused to eat anything so I paid for a breakfast that was not had due to the rubbish quality of the food. My Uncle and I barely had anything to eat except bread and toast with cold sausage and bacon. We ended up leaving hungry. I tried to complain again and request a refund for breakfast at reception when checking out but nobody was at the desk with a sign saying away from the desk. I waited for a while but our cab arrived so we had to leave.
There was also a large Rat outside, staff informed but did not seem interested.
To update this review, I believe there was a man in reception who demanded to get into another guests room and when refused, he threatened to burn down the establishment. I think that this should be shared with the BBC and ITV

Door keys stopped working everytime u used them. It was so hot in the room. Woke up with headache saw throat. The bed was very uncomfortable and gave me and my partner backache. The postitive points were the lake view and the accessable shower room with a powerful shower i loved it. Staff were really nice and polite cleaner did a real good job. This company is a JOKE

This company is a JOKE. After booking 2x family rooms for £247 each I drove all the way to Blackpool south shore travelodge - only to find my rooms had not been booked. No one could help at the desk, they had no way to 'access the system'. Attempted in situ to book the rooms again, and that is when the issue became apparent. There was a glitch on the travelodge website which meant that it was processing the payment on the card, but then not booking the rooms. Myself, my mum and 2 hotel staff could not work it out - until the fraud team rang my mum to ask why the payment had been attempted 5 times and to say theyd blocked the card. One of the bookings went through - for a set of dates a month later. The desk phoned the booking team - HE couldn't do anything either even though it was his job! By the time we'd had 6 cards blocked we'd managed to book 2 rooms - for nearly double the price. Now I'm having to fight for the 3rd room they booked for the wrong date to be refunded, all the attempts off of ALL of the other cards to be refunded, and have worked my way all the way up to head office WHO ARE ALSO TRYING TO SAY THEY WONT HELP!!! Absolutely DISGUSTING. I am now £1100 down on 2 rooms that cost £494. I have never come up against such a poor excuse for customer service IN MY LIFE.

We stayed at Travelodge Llanedeyrn on Saturday night. Upon our arrival late afternoon we were greeted in reception by a lovely lady who made checking in easy and was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything required. Lovely and quiet, free parking on site, would definitely return.

Stayed at Lodge Rd, Southampton

Stayed at the Lodge Rd, Southampton site. Small, unwelcoming reception area, carpets were dirty on the walk up the stairs to the first floor, also dirty in the corridor too. Entered our room which smelt weird, the fan which was already on had three settings - only one worked. This room (102) was right next to the crossroad junction, so the traffic noise was relentless, finishing with bad boy racers thru the night. The room was tight to walk round, had cracks in the ceiling and chipped paint of the walls. Don't expect a great room, it's far from it. Car park was full of builders vans so clearly ok for working stop overs but if you're going for a nice few days away, please stay somewhere else.

Stayed at great Yarmouth travel lodge... totally unsafe. Fell out of the bath and really hurt myself. I'd told them the bathroom was unsafe prior to using the room and was ignored. After the fall I raised a complaint and was promised compensation and im still waiting to hear.

We booked a room with Travelodge Exeter…

We booked a room with Travelodge Exeter M5 under their Saver Rate for one night . We used their Saver Rate as sometimes plans can change as they did . We wanted to change the booking to 2 days later , however Travelodge would not honour their Saver Rate and told us we had lost our money . They said that Saver Rate does not allow any changes . However when we checked with Google under Travelodge Saver Rate bookings it clearly states changes can be made . We have now applied to Paypal to try and recover our payment . So my advice is do not trust anything Travelodge say and book with a more trustworthy hotel.

Travelodge Rochester — serious concerns over room standards, staff conduct and complaint handling

Travelodge Rochester — serious concerns over room standards, staff conduct and complaint handling

I stayed at Travelodge Rochester with my family during an emergency housing decant on 30 June–1 July 2026, in Rooms 221 and 222

On 1 July I documented visible damp/water-damage concerns and raised them with the hotel manager. Travelodge later admitted in writing that the rooms allocated to us did not meet its usual standards and that the water-damage marks should have been identified during routine room checks and escalated to maintenance before our arrival

I also served a written evidence-preservation notice asking that no remediation, repainting, redecoration or treatment take place before independent inspection

A separate and serious allegation was then made about my family. Travelodge later admitted in writing that the report had been made prematurely and without a conclusive inspection

What concerns me most is what followed. The allegation was communicated externally, my family were affected by the decision that followed, and I am still trying to establish the full chronology and evidence Travelodge relied upon

Travelodge’s own later disclosure refers to underlying records and evidence which were not included in the Subject Access Request response they expressly described to me as completed

Travelodge was also repeatedly informed that I have a diagnosed mental-health disability and associated communication needs. I found myself having to disclose and explain this more than once. In my opinion, that information was effectively ignored in the way I was spoken to and in the way the complaint was handled

I found most of the staff I dealt with rude and unhelpful. There was one clear exception: a young gentleman with glasses who stayed on late and was genuinely helpful. He was brilliant, and I think it is fair to acknowledge that

Unfortunately, that was not representative of my overall experience

The food was also extremely poor. What we were served was, in my view, well below the standard I would expect from a hotel charging guests for meals

The complaint process then involved repeated chasing, prolonged uncertainty and delayed substantive responses, despite Travelodge knowing about my disability and communication needs

The complaint has now moved into the formal pre-action process

This review is based on my own experience, contemporaneous photographs, correspondence, Travelodge’s own written admissions and its own disclosed records

I would not stay at Travelodge Rochester again
