I check my credit report every day and…

I check my credit report every day and get offered loans and credit cards and been pre approved and after going through all the hassle of filling out forms only to find you have been refused credit. But why does Totally money offer these loans knowing that you will be turned down.

It's important to note that even with pre-approval, the final decision lies with the lender, who conducts their own checks and assessments using their own criteria. To gain more insight into why your application wasn't accepted, I suggest contacting the lender directly to see if they can provide you with any further insight.

Bud - a shambles of a system.


I can't renew 3 connections as your system rejects my identification provided. After 2 of these attempts, as I went back to try another account, your joke of a system told me that the accounts had been reconnected!!!

But on the front screen the number of unconnected accounts remained at 9. I did succeed with one account so you have 1 star.

And once the list of banks, which you informed me you had reconnected, appeared, these banks were showing as connection expired. For goodness sake, make your mind up.

I tried to delete some of the connections, as the accounts were closed, but had to provide a reason. However the panel for the optional reason text could not be reached and the "continue" button was beneath that. I only discovered this by using the down arrow at the foot of my Android Samsung A26 phone screen. So I typed blind then hit the down arrow so I could hit continue.

Then your joke of a system informed me, there had been a problem, so the disconnection had not worked, and although the system knew the reason, your system designers decided that should be kept a secret.

Quoting what Sir Alan Sugar would have said "What a bloody mess".

Your savings insights should capture the savings you make, but these are categorised by our open banking partner, Bud, and there are some exceptions, including the one that you have mentioned, (Savings made to an account with the same bank as the connected account, including 'pots' or 'spaces). Please note, your Affordability insights data is only visible to you, so you can understand how lenders may view you. We don't send these insights to lenders. They're only for your benefit, so you can judge your own affordability before you apply for credit.

Very Bad Experience

Very Bad Experience, started using the platform to view and apply for possible loan or card offers. But the contact details data has been leaked and I get calls almost everyday from the past 1-2 months offering money from unsolicited companies.

Misleading “100% approval” & waste of…

Misleading “100% approval” & waste of time

My experience with Abound has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

I was shown a “100% approved loan offer”, which naturally gave me the confidence that my application would be successful. Based on that, I went through the entire process — linking all my bank accounts, submitting payslips, and allowing a full review of my income and transactions.

I have a good repayment history and have never missed any payments, yet after several days of detailed checks and clear access to all my financial data, my application was suddenly declined due to affordability.

This is not about the rejection — lenders have their criteria — but about giving customers false hope from the beginning.

If strict affordability checks are going to override the initial decision, then showing “100% approval” is misleading and wastes people’s time. The process is long, intrusive, and emotionally stressful when you are relying on that outcome.

Please be transparent and responsible in how you present loan approvals. Don’t give people confidence in an offer that you may later withdraw.

Very disappointing experience.

Totally Money is a excellent credit

Totally Money is a excellent credit reference site.
