My advice to anyone buying this is they are making a big mistake. My experience with them is that they don't pay off. I paid for a service they said they covered but they won't pay back. It's been six months of hassle with their customer service. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

I paid for a 3 1/2 year in full, big huge mistake. I tried to file a claim and what was wrong wasn’t covered, so I had to pay out of pocket. I tried texting and calling and no response. I wrote letters, yes letters,and they were returned. I would’ve cancelled after first “not covered” but I was told no refunds. This is a dodo assed company. Do not do business with Total Home Protection now Service Plus. Different name same shoddy up yours, non service. 😩

I have worst experience with Total Home Protection. Whenever my AC is not working and I call them, they will say it is not covered under policy and they never resolved my issue and I need to pay from my pocket.

My garage door openers stopped working in November and they finally found a tech that would come out and diagnose the problem in December. He diagnosed it and got approval to order the parts and repair them. He stated it may take awhile to get the parts. Come February I give him a call and he states he will give me a call the following week to schedule the repair. He never calls, this cat and mouse game has gone on since then and I called Total Protection about it and they want to charge me $75 and send another tech out to diagnose the same garage door problem that was diagnosed 7 months ago. They stated I should have told them sooner that their tech still hasn't done the repairs. It's been to long so I need to pay another $75 diagnosis fee, this was the guy they sent etc. Stay away from this warranty company.

somehow this company is related to Service Plus Home Warranty and I have had really poor service. My contract was with Service Plus but then I get emails from Total Home Protection about the service call. I waited 3 months for my dishwasher to be fixed and in between the technician and the Service Plus team had issues with each other and they switched companies. it took over a month to get my leaking refrigerator fixed. I wanted a refund on the balance of my account but they do not give refunds.

Total Home Protection Warranty company is very unprofessional. They take longer than the documented time allowed to process claims. I paid through 5 years and I am not feeling valued as a customer. The representatives are rude and do not have or provide you all information. Josh Gomez was very unprofessional and raised his voice to me and told me that I do not need to speak to a supervisor once I requested one. This type of service is unacceptable especially to paying costumers. I would not recommend this company. I spoke with Supervisor Daniele Williams who provided the additional information I requested but was very unprofessional.

Do not trust this company to cover your house. They can’t wait to take your money, but when you put in a claim they find reasons to deny your claim. If you ask for reports written about your claim they deny that as well, they claim that’s company business and they don’t share. Please don’t give them money to protect your home, total rip-off, I’m taking them to court.

My washer needed repair. Total Home said it would cost over what was allowed they offered a $400 replacement. It has been 6 mos and no check has arrived. Many calls to the restitution department. Each time saying your check is in the next processing of checks. No check after 3 mos of continuous follow up. This company needs a major class lawsuit

The home warranty they sell you is a complete scam. Washing machine broke, not repairable. They offered $200 and would not replace it. Don't buy a warranty from them, its a ripoff. They filed bankruptcy under a different name and opened up under this name, complete scam

I purchaced a home warranty in the beginning of winter 2019. In the spring of 21 my fridge started acting up. The ice maker stopped working, I called and I didn't get a resolution, I purchaced an icemaker and pd to have it installed. A month and 1/2 later, the fridge began to make a very loud noise. I called and they said they would find a repair tech. Days wet by and no word on the repair. That went on for 2 wks living with that loud obnoxious noise. The whole time the temp in the fridge/freezer was bi-polar going from 20 to 55 degrees in the fridge and -30 up to 50+ in freezer. Then it died, no repair tech. I bought a fridge. I called them again (at least 5 × through the time.) They said they would refund 200.00 for my trouble, It never came I would have cancelled but they said my acct had to be current to get the refund. 3 mo. go by, me calling once a mo and getting diff. stories,, all the time paying the premium. NO CHECK CAME! The company name changed w/o any notice then tried to cancel again. in Nov. And Dec. Was always given run around and finally they promised 3 free mo. And that they would find a person to come and service my furnace (it was old and needed a tuneup and assessment) nothing happened. I called and was told to find my own tech and submit the invoice. I didn't trust them. I closed the card they got payment from before the 3 mo. was up. After the 3 mo. ended, they called sometimes 5 × a day. I even got texts, I replied cancel, it didn't stop. Finally I called and again they tried to entice me to stay on. I canceled!! But at least 2 yrs of pd premiums Wasted money!

never ever trust this company, never wanna pay for the service over $200, sometimes they don't repair but agree to send a $200 check, but you won't see the check within a year

I have never written a review for anything before, but this was so bad i want people to know and save thier money. I bought $750 2 year policy and received the contract . 17 months later i needed new water heater and called them, they told me the contract was canceled. I asked how that could be and to show me some documentation as to why it was canceled, they
Could not produce any reason why it was canceled. They said someone would get back to me, that-never happened. Save your money. This was so frustrating and costly.

Contacted Total Home Protection about a leaking water heater and asked to have it repaired. Although my contract was current, they refused to pay for it to be replaced (after service person informed them it needed to be replaced)! It took two weeks, from my initial service request (6/5/2022) for a service person to show up (6/23/2022). This was totally unsatisfactory)!! I immediately requested termination of services. Bad Experience.

Did not honor the policy. I was lied to and my emails and calks were ignored! Awful company!!!!

DO NOT PURCHASE A Warranty plan with them. They are horrible!!! Total home protection is the worst company to purchase a home warranty plan from. I placed a claim for my refrigerator last year in August. They said the refrigerator could not be repaired and was suppose to Give me $300 toward a $2200 new refrigerator. I have called them too many times to count. It is April 2022 and to date I have not received that check. Then a salesman had the nerve to call me to see if I wanted to renew my plan.Hell To The Nah. I will shop around for a new home warranty plan

If I knew that this company had no tech in my area I would not have gone with them. I'm still waiting on a $200.00 check from Dec 2021 for work on my waterheater. They wouldn't approve the total bill so I am stuck with the whole bill even thou I was talked into paying for the 75.00 service call fee plan. Then before the water heater I had issues in feb 2021 with a leaking dishwasher. Opened a claim over the phone and did NOT get a call from anyone for 4 months just to tell me they dont have a tech in our area? seriously? She offered me $200.00 for the inconvenice (by the way havent seen it yet) and its going on a year now. and she offered me a total of 200.00 for a replacement dishwasher. Seriously again have you guys priced out any new appliances lately. I have also made a report to BBB and I guess I'm gonna wait like everyone else. But please dont purchase this plan, search somewhere else. PLease.

Bought a platinum policy for my home I purchased in 2017 I had a company do a home inspection and was told by them everything worked properly In April 2018 we noticed the ac/heat unit was not working My wife called to file a claim and they eventually told her that it wasn't covered because we knew it was bad when we bought the house We argued with them to no avale Now 4 years later our microwave broke and we got a call with a tech He said it needed 4 major parts to repair it I get a call the next day and the service co tells me that the microwave needs to be replaced so she was going to send me $100 to replace a $350 unit You have no way to dispute their decision Take it or leave it so I guess I'll be leaving before they rip me off for another year Stay away from Total Home Protection THEY ARE RIP-OFFS

My dishwasher malfunctioned, Total Home adjudged the claim that they will not pay for repairs, rather pay $200 and essentially wash their hands off. That $200 was approved in Oct 2021, and they it takes 6-8 weeks for the check to be mailed. When that period passed I started following up..till date have called 10 times, every time they check with billing and at we will post it soon, even if you escalate no one ever calls back!
This company is a complete fraud, do not make the mistake of signing up or trusting them one bit!! Sign up with someone else they may be a bit costlier but you will benefit overall plus save a ton of time and heartburn.

What a joke. How can these people stay in business. They agreed to give me 300 bucks for a 2000 dollar frig that repair man said would cost 425 to fix. I have been waiting 6 months for payment and have gotten nothing but a promise that check would be in the next batch going out. Little do they know how many customers they have lost because of how they have treated me.

should be ZERO starts!!!! I don't know where these excellent reviews come from as this company, as others have posted, is the worst. I bought a policy for myself and a Christmas gift last year for my son, bought him one - total of $800! and we have received no action on any claims and they told us to PAY THE $60 svc fee directly to them for each claim (not to the repair tech), so we are out that money too! I agree, this company should have legal action brought against them - but they know no one can afford to do that.
