I recently wrote a 1 star review for Timeguard, but having since had a very good experience think it needs updating.
I recently dealt with Vishal at Timeguard who was very professional, very patient, and extremely helpful, and who sorted out the difficult Wi-Fi connection problem that I was having.
The only reason that this is a 4 star review and not 5 star has nothing to do with Vishal, but because the answer to my previous review struck me as not entirely honest; I did leave 2 messages for the company to return my call, and by saying that they never received them struck me as a company trying to lighten my review, and crawl out of the situation!

I bought a Timeguard wifi fused spur…
I bought a Timeguard wifi fused spur switch which I was unable to connect to the app. Customer talked me through the 2.4 vs 5 ghz router issue but it still wouldn't connect. Despite having bought it through an online retailer rather than from them direct, they offered to send me a replacement. Although it hasn't yet arrived I thought that was the right response to a problem with one of their products and am happy to give them due praise.
Disappointed
I'm a contractor and have used timeguard for years as they were the best, just recently I have had a few items fail on me in a relatively short space of time from install. I have just brought a wifi timer for a customer but can't connect it to the wifi and there's no reset for it so its £50 heading for the bin !!!!!
So timeguard suggest altering the router settings !! Thats fine if I can gain access to the router and the customer is happy for me to alter the settings in thier router !!! Timeguard needs to get better with this technology before I buy another one.

Timeguard Wi-Fi Controlled fused spur - stress to delight
I bought a Timeguard Wi-Fi Controlled Fused Spur - FSTWIFI from a company who shall remain nameless to protect the incompetent. I had a couple of issues, one of which meant I was unable to connect to the device. Timeguard Customer Services sorted me out within a day on the technical problem and the second issue sorted in three days. Some of the best customer service I have ever received. Thanks.
Used to work, then it didn’t - now it does again
Had this for a couple of years and it has been good. Fell off the wifi connection and now it won’t pair. My router is good, my phone is on the correct frequency (I split my SSIDs to do it) but it just keeps timing out. Tried my phone, my ipad. Reinstalled the app, deleted the device - and now cannot re-add it. Not happy, my towels are wet.
The helpline is only available by email now - so help takes longer. But I did get some advice and got it working. The setup is probably too complicated for an average internet user; you need to be confident changing router settings...........

Well i changed my internet and went to set it back up with no joy for 2 hours trying different things and checking and double checking I’m on 2.4 ghz so emailed the support team 2 weeks ago and still waiting for a reply totally disappointed

Regarding Timeguard support and FST wifi spur
Easy enough to fit the spur. No real issues other than can be a bit fiddly, but it's probably due to your existing fitting. Now get to the app and holy s*** it's bad. It will just not connect. In theory it's supposed to be easy. It will pick up what wifi your phone is on but will it connect? Absolutely not. I've tried everything. I'm just on a basic 2.4g stock router. Tried Guest networks with no passwords. Just constantly times out. Tech support don't answer their phones. It's just horrible. I knew it would be horrible as soon as I downloaded the app just based on the graphics of it.

Had an email response from a really helpful advisor at Timeguard - he was able to pair my device to the app remotely. So the issue seemed to be with the data sent to their servers, as others have mentioned on various other review sites. Can't say i'm holding much hope for this working out for me long term - but I will say that once I was able to get through to someone - he was brilliant and sorted it out pretty quickly. Apparently there is a voicemail system on their phones, but I was ringing for over 3 minutes before giving up, No idea how long you have to ring to get to VM. Tré - thanks for sorting it out.

Great product, great support
Great product - has turned my dumb immersion heater into a smart heater, able to control from anywhere if I do something different to what I've already scheduled. And having just experienced great customer support too, could not recommend more higy...
Had some faulty lamps
Had some faulty lamps, (LED floodlights) contacted Timeguard and spoke to Technical Service Supervisor. Excellent customer service, wish all companies were as good, as the lamps were bought over a year ago, and fitted but not connected, it was outside the retailers guarantee, but Timeguard were great with proof of purchase replacements arrived 2 days later, 10/10 for great service, in a time when it is more often than not lacking. Thank you.

This is an excellent company to deal with. They are very customer focussed and handle any issue very promptly. The guarantees on their products exceed those of other products on the market and their on-line instructions are easy to follow. This company goes above and beyond.
Unbelievable brilliant service for the team at Timerguard
Brilliant service and so professional. I'm disabled with a spinal cord injury and now been diagnosed with thoat cancer. We have had problems with our led electric outside light. I was at my point of distress. When I was told about TIMERGUARD. This company has gone that extra mile and more. Thay are so helpfull and understand . The services that thay gave me was brilliant fast and so professional. Thay have told me about the full rages of timer lighting for my led outside light. The products are of the best on the market.
I would highly recommend them to anyone out there. I would like to say a big thankyou to all of you team at Timerguard products. Your all a credit to your company.

Just purchased Two WIFI Controlled…
Just purchased Two WIFI Controlled Fused Spur and the moible app on IOS can register but can not login, so i switched to use Android phone, this time u can login but can not connect to wifi. Just a rubbish device, i have uninstalled it and put the old fuse switch back. totally waste of money

I purchased one of their FSTWiFi…
I purchased one of their FSTWiFi switches to control a towel rail.
Initially, I had some configuration issues but that turned out to be a fault in the wiring and not the switch. During that initial setup, I found their technical support to be second to none. Helpful all of the way. Thank you Vishal.
My misgivings are that there is no integration with Google or Alexa. (All of my other smart devices are run by Google) but that's no big deal breaker.
Bought two wifi switches
Bought two wifi switches, nothing but trouble! Software is mickey mouse and keeps dropping out even though it is adjacent to router. Destination dustbin!

Purchased a Timeguard Wi-Fi Controlled Fused Spur from LED Bulbs. It was a good price and arrived promptly. Purchased it to control a range cooker remotely.
Had real problems enabling it to be recognised by our BT network - called the Timeguard helpline - they were very helpful. After trying several things we managed to set it up creating a network between two phones (hotspot) which was then recognised by the BT network.
Great product .... now does what is says on the can!
First class Service
Ive bought 5 LED lights over the years from Timeguard and recently had a problem with one. Dealt with Phillip in technical services who was efficient and quick in sending out a replacement without quibble - a true ambassador of customer services.
