The app logged me out and despite 5…

The app logged me out and despite 5 password resets it steadfastly refuses to let me login! We have an electric Aga oven which is controlled via the WiFi fused spur and this evening it completely ruined dinner for 8 peope. Horribly embarrassing in front of guests.
Absolutely useless.

Timeguard WiFi Fused Spurs let me down again

I have 2 Timeguard WiFi Fused Spurs (Model: FSTWiFi) and normally they're fine to control my central heating. However, once again I am unable to log in to the app which helpfully says "Network Busy" and NOT "our server is down again so your devices wont work"! Even the Override switch wont work so I have no way of heating my house. Why should a technical problem at Timeguards end prevent my switch from working? There are other items out there which will keep working even if my wifi goes down! Time to ditch my 2 Timeguard switches and install something more reliable.

The app is a pile of rubbish!!!!
I’ve not been able to log in for months, I cannot get passed the sign in screen despite me resetting my password (as I thought this may have been the issue) but nothing!!! All I want to do is put my outdoor lights on a new programme and I cannot do it because the stupid app won’t let me log in! It’s clearly an issue, I’ve seen many reviews where other people are having the same issue and is it being addressed????? I don’t think so!
I hate leaving negative reviews but the app really needs fixing and some money spent on upgrading it!!

Excellent troubleshooting service!

I had an issue with my SupplyMaster garden lights, following an installation of an electric car charger, which used the myenergi App.
We were without outside lights for several days, in a very dark area of our rural driveway.
I e mailed the help desk at SupplyMaster for advice, as my electrician’s were slow to respond.
I promptly received a reply from Vishal Sanghani, who was most clear and helpful.
When I still couldn’t get the lights to operate, Vishal actually rang me and was again, most helpful.
He suggested changing the fuse on the spur and my lights immediately worked!
It was most refreshing to speak to a kind human! Thank you 🙏🏻

Unintuitive badly designed programmer for central heating

Why manufacture a central heating programmer that is completely unintuitive? Who does the company think is the end user of their programmers?
My Timeguard TRTO36N is infuriatingly stupidly confusing.
All i want to do is what every end user wants. I am not trying to outdo NASA by launching a rocket.

Just want to programme heating to come on each day and copy each day so that I do not have to re-enter every time.
But the poorly conceived controls require a programme that should get me to Mars.

Do not let an electrician install this programmer or you too will be nystified by the complicated and useless instructions.

Great customer service.

Bought a Timeguard PIR Sensor 13 months ago. It unfortunately became faulty. Contacted service dept. and they didn’t hesitate to immediately replace it with a new one. Delivery was only three working days from my initial complaint. That is excellent customer service by any measure and means that you can rely on Timeguard products because they fully back their guarantee with actions.

Continued good service

Continued good service from long standing customer.

Note it's worth reading the manual in full before purchase to insure the product fits the bill with Wi-Fi products. If you do not know how to split the Wi-Fi bands then avoid or buy a dual band compatible device as easier to pair... but splitting bands or basic router admin settings should be something most people can do as the details are on every internet suppliers website on FAQ's.

I also have some floods and a timer also with no issues!

WiFi fused spur rubbish

WiFi fused spur. Doesn't work won't connect, doesn't show in the app. Had to mess about with my router because the prissy little git won't work with certain frequencies. Total crap. For 100 of your British pounds.

*update - spoke to customer service. Turns out my model is the old model now. However they were able to do something on their end and it now works. Clunky app but seems to be functional

Unable to communicate or control the switch

I have been unable to communicate with the switch for the last 24 hours as the app kicked me out and seems to be unable to communicate with the server. Since it controls my boiler it is a major problem.

At the best of times the app is buggy but this is making me consider removing the switches, II also have one on the hot water)

Im having a problem with logging into the app

Im having a problem with logging into the app. It keeps kicking me out at the log in screen, returning 'network busy'
Been an issue since yesterday evening and no answer on the phone line or to email I sent this morning.

Update - Ive had an email response saying they know there was an issue with the server, but no clue as to what it was and if its likely to happen again...

Constantly having problems with the…

Constantly having problems with the Supply Master App - Switch not turning off or not coming on due to Network issues (on the app, not the switch). This is becoming more and more of a problem as the switch controls my boiler. No point telling me that my model has been superseded unless you are going to replace my unit! Can't comment on the Tuya enabled spur but would not recommend the older model. Clearly they know there is an issue with their app and functionality since they have brought in a tried and tested 3rd party. The product is really good.... when it works, but recently it has become a pain and inconsistent. Currently looking for an alternative replacement - will not consider the Tuya model unless supplied as a free exchange. Essentially - stay away from the older model controlled by the Supply Master App.

The app is soo buggy.

The app is soo buggy.
It will not let you log in.
You put the correct password and it just takes you back to the login page.
If you put the wrong password it pops up and tells you it’s wrong so you al least know you were using the correct password to begin with.

The password reset function is also a swing and a miss,
Sometimes it lets you reset and sometimes it throws up a code error.

If time guard put some effort into updating the app so it worked and wasn’t so buggy, and possibly a UI overhaul to make it look more sleek, it could be a really good product.
As it stands, avoid at all costs.

Update to (terrible) app for FSTWifi would suddenly not allow me to log in at all. Really poor- am now left with a useless piece of hardware only a few months after installation.

Hi Steve, on the manual and pairing video instructions the advise has always been to not use special characters. We did not choose to reduce the security or make changes on this since the original launch please check your manual and it will also confirm this. Also please note the new model FSTWIFITU which runs on the Tuya Smart has superseded this product which does use special characters.

Had extreme difficulty getting this…

Had extreme difficulty getting this connected to my app.Gave hours and hours trying to get it connected. No joy. Had to contact the maintenance team at Timeguard. I was contacted soon enough and they sorted it out for me. This app is NOT for the fainthearted and not the easiest to connect to. Everything that was required was in place. WiFi was 2.4ghz. Did everything that was asked in the manual. Still kept searching. Don't know what the problem is with the app as you shouldn't have to contact the maintenance team. Just glad it's sorted

I’ve spent 8 hours trying to add the…

I’ve spent 8 hours trying to add the device Wifi timer) to the app. Firstly the app is the worst app ever used (the blue tg one). I’ve followed instructions regarding a user name but the app fails to open. I’ve got an iPhone. If I reset the password, it’s got ‘android’ in it. Why is this. Not even passed first bast, so I tried another app (tg the green one). I’ve split my wifi (as instructed) and after 5 hours of being unsuccessful, I finally got a pop up to say ‘connected’. Short lived though, as the device still isn’t there and I’m prompted to start again.

I’ve read all the reviews and comments on this page together with other sites (Amazon) and it’s not a good story. Further, an advisor recommended ‘not casting aspersions’ before contacting help desk. Wow.

Firstly, Timeguard, please read all your reviews. There’s a common problem (app based), so fix it. Secondly, you should not expect your customers to contact service desk for help everyone. That in itself points to an issue. Thirdly, your help desk is not available at weekends.. usually when people have the time to do this stuff. Not helpful. The wifi issue is an old issue and should be sorted. I work for a software company, I’m tech savvy and this is the worst app I’ve ever used. Please sort it out.

People pay electricians to install these devices, therefore returning them is not straightforward and it’s costly.

Lastly - please answer the direct question. Does the app work on an iPhone. Yet to find someone. Those who successfully managed to sort this out (after 5-8 plus hours) are all on android.

Hi Chantal, thanks for your review. We constantly test the application in house and do not receive any issues pairing on iPhone or Android devices. However if you have a VPN running on the network, non split bands or QOS mode (quality of service mode) enabled on the router it may cause issues to pair successfully. If you have a solid blue light as stated on your review we can add this to your account remotely as the device is online but not showing on your account. Please call technical services with your account details and the ID number on the side of the device which the manual would have stated to take notice of and not lose. We should then be able to resolve the issue.

Hard to connect once it does it is fine for a few weeks, then loses connection and times out repeatedly.

A real pain to get to reconnect despite no changes in wifi or anything

Hi Lutra, this can happen if your router is broadcasting a dual band or tri band signal. Try separating the 2.4Ghz band to broadcast independently and then pair again. as the device would not support dual band frequencies. It will also make reconnecting after a power outage or Wi-Fi outage effortless thereafter without manual intervention. If unsure how to achieve this, your ISP can walk you through the steps of doing this, or they may already be on their website as this is commonplace for 2.4Ghz smart devices.
