Excellent service from Timberwise (Leeds) from beginning to end - treating extensive dry rot in Gr2 Listed apartment and cellar beneath, relacing timbers and ceilings/floorings and making good. Survey was clear and detailed, planning for the work to be undertaken was careful and detailed and (as absent leaseholders) we were consulted and kept informed – by email and photos – at every stage of the work. Any queries on our part were responded to promptly and helpfully – nothing was too much trouble. The work undertaken was thorough and well finished – giving us every confidence that the problem was sorted. I contacted Timberwise for a free initial survey of my home, a 400 year old cottage with a lot of timber, having found 2 live wood beetles and anticipating the news that we had an infestation.

Ashley was knowledgeable, friendly and thorough looking over the whole house. He took much time to answer all my questions and clearly explain to me (and my curious 6 year old son) the types of beetle we'd found (a death watch beetle and a furniture beetle), the pros and cons of treatment and how the treatment worked to break the beetle's life cycle.

What I appreciated hugely was his honesty that, as we'd only found 1 beetle of each type and there were no further signs of current beetle activity, TREATMENT WAS NOT NECESSARY for the time being, especially as the chemicals are strong and we have children.

Not often that you get such honesty!

I feel confident I know what, when and where to look out for signs of beetle activity next Spring and definitely will get in touch with Ashley at Timberwise if I have any questions or more beetles emerge.

Arranged for Timberwise to come to check a damp patch in house, suspected rising damp. Surveyor came on time and was extremely helpful, turns out it's not rising damp and he gave me very good advice as to where to go next. They did not charge for this visit and I would definitely use them in the future if I need to. Highly recommend.

We’ve had a problem with mould on an internal wall, and after lots of expensive advice from plumbers, builders & decorators we decided to call Timberwise.
This really pleasant well dressed guy call Tim came today, and following a free survey, told us that we didn’t have a serious problem and no water leaks.
He gave us some really good cheap ideas to solve our problem which we were so pleased about and it gave us peace of mind.

Thank you Timberwise for fixing what was a very scary dry rot problem in my house! I cried the day that Gary came and we discovered how bad the dry rot was. Timberwise were fantastic - Gary was very hands on and explained everything. And a big thank you to Mystry who was so hard working and incredible at her job. Very clean and done everything to make sure that the job was finished to a high standard. Mystry is a real asset to the team.

From start to finish this company have be open honest and fair. It started with being on time from the very first appointment. Explaining in a very clear and concise manner what would be required, what they would recommend, and at what cost ..kevin and dai came to the house have been respectful very tidy and business like .They took great care to minimise the stress around my greyhound by making sure doors and gates kept closed when possible, which makes a difficult job that bit more difficult..so thank you

Nick, Daffyd, Sam and the team worked on damp proofing our cellar kitchen in Bolton. Despite taking longer than estimated, they stuck to their original quote and the quality of work in a difficult space was exemplary. Always on time, and really good at communicating when they’d come, the team were always professional and courteous and were a great hit with the neighbours, despite it being noisy job. We had damp proofing installed by Timberwise. The company was very efficient in arranging a surveyor & organising a date to get the work done. The technician (Carl Austin) carried out the job. He was polite, friendly & explained what the procedure entailed. He was efficient & left the site clean & tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Timeberwise conducted a Wood Worm spray and Joist replacement within my sub-floor. From the initial Survey to the Works, the service provided was professional and of a high standard throughout. The Technicians Stu and Nick did a great job of ensuring the issues were rectified within good time. Also, Timberwise applied a military discount, showing the organisation's decency. Consequently, any service personel requiring these services should consider Timberwise as a first option to get a great service at a decent price.

Great service. External walls damp proofed and one internal wall. Skirting board was removed on internal wall and replaced perfectly. Engineer very friendly and polite - took shoes off when coming into the house.

Very disappointed with the work they've done in my house. They "fixed" the bedrooms walls that had an ugly damp. They guaranteed for 10 years 😅 but after few months they finished their work the damp is back with lots of mould

Survey and quotation completed quickly and arrangements for damp proofing work too. Work undertaken after extensive protection of room contents by helpful staff ( Norman, Richard and plasterer Justin) over 3 days.

so if i have work done on the corner of the house outside with pointing by another firm,are you going to come back & plaster the inside then as its suppose to be under guarentee plus it needs re-doing again after all that is done because no filler or anything has been done the guy basically plastered over a wet wall whats the sense in that?
we didnt employ you to do plastering we employed you do fix the leak, this was not told to me i have autism & was on my own on the day when the survey was done and i can guarentee the guy never told me about pointing or anything he just looked outside,came inside took pictures of the black walls & went away with the quote
i only found out about re-pointing when the actual worker came to do the job & told me after he had plastered so what should of happened is the guy should have told me that i advise us not to go through with this until the outside gets sorted the walls gonna be the same again so basically robbed of 2k thanks alot preying on vulnerable ppl

that bloke who came from another firm never even heard of drytek he had to google it and this is a guy with 0ver 30 years experience plus he said the work done should have cost around 1000 not 1900 so how you can get away with plastering a small part of a wall for nearly 2k i really done know its rediculous no way does that job cost that much pure rip off & conned

Fantastic service from Timberwise from start to finish. From the administration team, surveyor and the tradesmen on site carrying out the works. Would definately recommend.

Graham from the Liverpool branch was very kind and helpful-- carefully explaining the repairs needed, even when they weren't ones that timberwise does. Would definitely use them again.
