Second occasion using Timberwise on another property. Excellent work carried out promptly and efficiently.

Great work by tradesman Steve, took the time to explain everything that he was doing and very happy with the result. Communication from the office team could have been clearer and it took 11 days for us to get our report after chasing a couple of times, rather than the advertised 5-7 days.

Unlike other reviewers we have not been able to get this company to provide simple quote for woodworm treatment. They insist on you paying for a survey first (which we’ve already had) and after asking several times for just a quote they keep pushing the survey. Bit of a scam!

We have used Timberwise South West on about 4 occasions for damp proofing, tanking work and most recently for woodworm treatment. We have always found them extremely professional, reliable and their work is of a very high standard.

In fact on the last couple occasions when we needed some work done, we went straight to Timberwise and did not look at any other company / get any other quotes. I would say their prices are competitive, but probably not the cheapest but then you get what you pay for and Timberwise work comes with a 20 year guarantee.

I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again / recommend them to someone else.

I had no clue where to begin with the damp issues in my home. I spoke to Lorraine who reassured me that I was doing the right thing and booked me in for a survey I cannot thank Lorraine or Timber wise enough for their help. My call and follow up correspondence have been dealt with empathetically and professionally and I am confident that any work carried out will be dealt with in the same manner. It’s such a relief to finally have some one on my side. Many thanks.

I cant get an answer on the phone to book a survey...

Called Timberwise to look at a patch of rot on basement kitchen skirting board. Contact with Rachel to arrange the survey was prompt and professional. Tim the surveyor assessed the rot and gave excellent advice on how to tackle it. Friendly, professional and no nonsense from start to finish. Thank you Timberwise.

There was a damp patch found in my bathroom while having a home report done which was unknown to myself.
The team of contractors arrived on time and were polite and excellent at cleaning up after the job was completed.
Plumber, plasterer and the guy who removed the damp (not sure what trade he was) all were very professional.
I would highly recommend TIMBERWISE

Service was excellent throughout and Justin did a good job. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the woodworm treatment has only just been done and only time will tell if 'it does what it says on the tin'...

My appointment time was set up quickly and efficiently. I had my survey today, by Craig, and was really impressed by his knowledge, professionalism, friendliness and level of detail covered. My report arrived hours after my visit and was helpful and thorough. Thank you, Timberwise. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

Tradesman Justin was exceptionally helpful. Explained everything clearly, finished all work well and as required, referring to us all the way through to ensure that we were happy with the job, cleared up after himself, even to the extent of sweeping the footway outside the front door to clear the dust. Always on time, and the company's initial response was quick and clear.

I contacted Timberwise due to damp issues in my flat. A free survey was arranged really quickly and Ashley came out. He was so knowledgable, professional and friendly. He took the time time to go through everything with me and made sure I understood the various issues. This made a real difference to me after being wrongly quoted by another company. The work was booked in within a few weeks and a chap from Moldex came and installed a vent. He was also very friendly and efficient. I have found Timberwise such a great company, so professional and good value for money. Will be recommending to my friends with similar problems and wouldn’t hesitate to use in future. Thank you!

Timberwise did some damp work at my house in August last year. I was extremely happy with the service and professionalism of the team. However, it became apparent that the quality of the plastering was low to the point that an independent plasterer said it needed to be redone. I had to chase and chase Timberwise for a response, finally they revisited and agreed to do the work but when it came to actually redoing it they have been dragging their heels for months over the price. I have expressed to their area manager how this had affected my mental health and he had ignored my email until I phoned him direct. He agreed to pay half of the associated costs and then went back to ignoring my emails. I’m now claiming the money back through my credit card company and they are ignoring them as well. Don’t use this company. Avoid at all costs

Wonderful Service -friendly but professional - Very reassured by Ashley from Timberwise -We have an old property with some issues, and Ashley spent considerable time with us, giving very comprehensive information and advice. Have a damp problem so wanted an inspection but Timberwise didn't want to know, said it wasn't within their remit, suggested I contact a local builder first. Surely the wrong way round, survey first to ascertain where the problem is then builder in to fix.

I can’t say whether the damp proof membrane will do the trick as only time will tell. However we enjoyed excellent customer service from Sharon in the Glasgow office and they guys who worked on site were friendly, professional and cleared the site beautifully afterwards. In combination the team made me feel confident they’d done a good job- so fingers crossed.

It’s only 4 star as time will tell how good the work was medium to long term. But the work by James/Jimmy was excellent and 5 star. He worked very hard for long days during exceptionally hot weather. And the plastering has been very well done and professionally finished. We’re pleased. Thanks Jimmy and Timberwise.

Fantastic service - Ashley couldn’t have been more helpful or informative and the report was very comprehensive with excellent and clear recommendations - we have a coastal house prone to damp and feel very reassured by the advice provided.
