My daughter and I just returned from Scotland and the Timberbush tour to Isle of Skye with Scott D will be remembered forever.
Scott was delightful. Playing music and engaging us in learning about Scotland. He truly loves his country and wants us to love it too. He made sure we all experienced what we wanted and went out of his was to satisfy each guest. We had plenty of time ( given it was only a three day tour) to walk around and take photos at each venue. He encouraged us to partake in local customs like dunking our heads in the water for longevity! It was a great introduction to what Scotland has to offer. Well organized company. Highly reccomend.

I booked the 3-day Highlands tour less than 10 days before departure, and I was so grateful they were able to secure accommodation for me during peak season when I couldn't find anything within my budget on the Isle of Skye.
The itinerary was thoughtfully planned and executed, allowing us to experience the best of the Highlands without feeling rushed. Of course, the breathtaking scenery was unforgettable, but the true highlight of the tour was our guide and driver, Scott D. I genuinely don't think the experience would have been nearly as memorable without him.
Scott is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, sincere, accommodating, considerate, caring, upbeat, and genuinely hilarious. His passion for Scotland shines through in everything he does. His carefully chosen playlist—featuring mostly Scottish music—created the perfect atmosphere throughout the journey.
He welcomed every question with enthusiasm and brought the history, legends, and cultural background of each place to life in such an engaging and entertaining way. His storytelling made every stop more meaningful and memorable.
If you're considering this tour, I highly recommend it—and if you're lucky enough to have Scott D. as your guide, you're in for an exceptional experience!

I did two tours with Timberbush—one to the Isle of Skye and another to Loch Ness—and I can honestly say they exceeded every expectation. I’ve never had such an in-depth and engaging tour experience.
Timberbush truly overdelivered, even taking us to surprise locations that weren’t listed on the itinerary, which made the trips even more memorable. Every stop came with fascinating stories and detailed historical insights that brought Scotland’s incredible landscapes to life.
A special thank you to Karen and Jason, who are genuine assets to the company. Their knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion made every moment enjoyable and unforgettable.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these tours to my friends and family. A well-deserved 10/10 experience, and I can’t wait to return someday!

The outlander Tour was an amazing experience. The size of the group 16 persons qaw an optimal one. Our guide Marty ( i hope got the name and spelling right) gave us so many insights to Outlander as well as otherwise about Scotland, thoroughly enjoyed his commentary:) I give one star less for 2 reasons 1. I thought we could spend 10 to 15 more minutes each at the blackness castle and doune castle....55 minutes is cutting it too tight. And 2. because I had issues with booking the tickets on the phone. When I booked it from my tab it worked. On the phone it kept kicking me out of the booking session for some reason or the other. I tried everything, changing font size, switching from german to English language, finally booked it on tab without any hassle.

Our 2-day trip from Inverness to the Isle of Skye was great! Although the weather was not in our favor and we were unable to see some of the sites on the island, my mother and I still had an exceptional experience. We owe so much of that to our wonderful tour guide, Martin.
Martin was an incredible storyteller and brought each location to life by sharing the history of the sites, Scottish culture, and the way of life in the Highlands. We especially appreciated him taking us to hidden gems along the way—places that were not only beautiful but also meaningful to him personally.
Because of the weather, we were unable to visit the Old Man of Storr on our first day. However, Martin went above and beyond by waking up early the next morning and driving there to check if there was any visibility. Unfortunately, the weather still did not cooperate, but his effort showed how much he cared about giving everyone the best possible experience. He made it clear that he was committed to making our tour memorable, regardless of the circumstances.
This tour was truly special, and I would take it again and again. I only hope we have the opportunity to join Timberbush Tours and Martin for another adventure in the future.

Our guide David drove us through the marvellous highlands to Loch Ness. His stories about Scotland delighted the day. He is the perfect tourguide. On one hand he told storys of land and people, one the other he doesnt talk 100% of the time. All in all one of the best tour of my life

I cannot imagine touring the Highlands without Lawrence! He not only navigated his way to gorgeous settings and adventures he did so safely and with a lot of interesting info about the scenery and more. We loved each stop and especially when he was able to find something unique and special, like seeing the salmon jumping at the waterfall or being able to feed Highlanders. (A definite highlight) At the beautiful Fairy Pools we started the experience with birdseed in our palms and several lovely common Chaffinches that came to sit on our hands and eat. We all loved that little extra bonus. The hike was gorgeous as well. We also appreciated how he balanced keeping us on schedule with attending to the needs of the participants. When he stopped at the little coffee place (across from the distillery) we were super impressed by it. But Lawrence knew the place and wanted us all to try it. So good!! The Isle of Skye is impressive as were the several stops that Lawrence made for us. Not just typical that everyone does, but geared towards what his participants wanted. When he stopped above Loch Ness - higher that we expected - we all let out a wow! like we were watching fireworks!! The two days went by quickly and even now we are looking back at cherished photos from that awesome tour. Thanks to Lawrence.

I took the two-day Loch Ness, Inverness and Highlands tour. I don’t recall our guide’s name but it was a poor experience, especially considering the cost. Not sure if the tour was scripted or not but the guide seemed to throw out a few random bits of information here and there and provided basically no real context for any of the sites. We stopped at several small towns that he told us nearly nothing about and then he would say ‘don’t buy souvenirs here there’s a better place’ (and in fact the souvenirs at the ‘better’ place were tacky junk). It felt like he was heavily pushing certain places, which made me feel like the company gets a kickback. We spent large amounts of time in places that didn’t make sense (like staying at lunch for 2 hours the second day so that he could fit in a bike trail he wanted to do) while spending only just over an hour at Culloden (the main reason I came on this tour). You need more than 1 hour at Culloden - there is far too much to do it all in an hour. Also, it was a ‘important’ place in the Jacobite campaign. That’s all the context provided. I knew about the site but for those who didn’t; they wouldn’t even know why it was significant. The first night we arrived in Inverness so late, most things were closed so it’s a bit generous to include Inverness in the name when the only event occurring in Inverness is sleeping.
Additionally, he drove like a maniac. He was speeding around corners just to slam on the brakes, passing other cars and vans every chance he got. One of the passengers got out and threw up partway through day 1.
I was incredibly disappointed for the cost. If I had known I’d have so little time at Culloden, I’d never have booked this tour, as I could have taken a train to Inverness and a bus for a fraction of the cost.
The guide was also incredibly political even after saying the company asked him not to be.
I believe Glencoe was the only stop where I learned anything.

We took a tour to the Highlands and Isle of Skye and our guide was Scott. He was lovely - always in a good mood, with so many stories that balanced information and knowledge and fun facts and mythology. Scott seems a genuine fan of Scotland and Isle of Skye, which really added to the experience. He is also very mindful of what the group is interested in and tries to make that happen (highland cows for us). The buses are nice (max 16 people). Isle of Skye is divine.

We had a great time on our tour of Glenfinnen, Glenco, and Fort William. Holly was funny, interesting, and had all the good jokes and insights on each location. The nature of this tour is just a lot of driving, which we should have figured. But you see so much in a little amount of time. We are so glad we signed up and were able to explore a little bit more of scotland. We hope to do a longer tour next time!

The 3-day tour I took from Edinburgh to Isle ok Skye & Loch Ness was one of the most magical tours I've ever done. Isle of Skye is such a dreamy and mystical land, I would recommend this tour to anyone.
The company does this one right, they booked my hotel accommodation for me, everything was super easy and straight forward. Our tour guide (Scott) was the best tour guide I've ever had. He played music throughout the trip, told us so much about Scotland history and was extremely thoughtful / kind.
I highly recommend this tour!!
