Floor tiles were great

Floor tiles were great, but I did begrudge paying for a Pallet that I had no use for, they could keep their delivery prices a little if they didn’t provide pallets that are useless to the customer.

Sample tiles arrived well packed

Sample tiles arrived well packed, although packaging had been damaged in transit but tiles were OK.
Felt that customer service in store was poor. Was told quite abruptly that samples weren't available in store, couldn't be ordered in store and that I would need to do it myself online. The old adage of "you never forget how people made you feel" will mean that I'm unlikely to do any repeat business, in fact I've ordered the tiles from a local supplier who has been very friendly and helpful.

Really heavy duty material..

Ordered the 1200 x 800 x 12mm tile backer boards for my bathroom..
Heavy duty great quality.
Would definitely recommend in fact I am order some more to cover the floor surface as well as the wallsfor extra tanking and feel of a solid floor on my timber floors..

Although not entirely in tile…

Although not entirely in tile mountain’s control, the delivery company damaged a new driveway on delivery and as yet there has been no resolution.

Avoid Tile Mountain if you value clear…

Avoid Tile Mountain if you value clear communication and good customer service. My experience has been frustrating from start to finish.

I was happy to pay for quality tiles, but instead I received confusing information, poor advice and a completely damaged delivery.

I was given conflicting information about delivery and collection, with different staff telling me different things. I then gave the showroom my exact measurements (1.8 m × 0.9 m) and asked them to calculate how many tiles I needed. I had worked out I needed four boxes, but their sales assistant insisted I needed seven. Trusting their expertise, I accepted their advice. It later became clear that I had been sold almost twice as many tiles as I actually required.

When the delivery arrived, every box of tiles was smashed. The pallet was also left blocking access to our property, making it impossible for wheelchair users to get through.

I visited the Plymouth store the same day. They initially offered to replace the four boxes I actually needed, but when I asked for a refund for the three boxes I had only bought because of their incorrect advice, I was told they would not refund them unless I returned the entire order. I found this completely unreasonable.

I have now requested a full refund because I have lost all confidence in Tile Mountain. The damaged pallet remains outside my property because I am not risking injury by moving broken tiles. I have also had to ask for written confirmation that leaving the goods outside while awaiting collection will not affect my refund.

The most disappointing part was the attitude. When I explained why I was unhappy, I was simply told this was "normal protocol." That is not what I consider acceptable customer service.

To add insult to injury, I later received an email asking me to leave a review because they had "done their best to help."

Buying tiles for a home project should be straightforward. Instead, this has been stressful, time-consuming and unnecessarily complicated. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Tile Mountain.
