IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN THIS MINUS 10 STARS I WOULD HAVE! YOUR SEND DEPARTMENT ARE THE MOST DISGUSTING HUMAN BEINGS I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS IF IT WAS UP TO ME I WOULD ENSURE THEY WAS ALL SACKED!! MY SISTER IN LAW HAS BEEN CONTACTED HER SUPPOSEDLY CASE WORKER NADINE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS BY EMAILS AND CALLS WHO HAS CHOSEN TO IGNORE BOTH EVEN STOOPING AS LOW TO TELL THE RECEPTIONIST SHES NOT IN THE WAY MY NEPHEW AND SISTER IN LAW HAVE BEEN TREATED IS ABSOLUTLELY DISGUSTING ANYONE THINKING OF MOVING TO THURROCK OR HAS CHILDREN WHO NEED HELP FROM THIS SEND DEPARTMENT I WOULD NOT BOTHER THEY ARE ABSOLUETLY DISGUSTING UNHELPFUL AND BONE IDLE LAZY! THEY SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES

IF YOUR A COUNCIL TENNANT. I'D CHECK YOUR EPC RATING. IF YOURS IS F OR G. DO FOI REQUESTING THAY PROVE THAT HAVE AN OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT EXEMPTION LETTER WHICH ALLOWS THEM TO LET YOUR PROPERTY. IF THAY DON'T PROVIDE THIS. SEEK FINANCIAL REIMBURSEMENT TOWARDS THE COST IF YOUR HEATING SINCE YOU MOVED IN. THURROCK COUNCIL LET ME THIS PROPERTY WITHOUT OFFICIAL GOV EXEMPTION LETTER. GO ON GOV.UK CHECK YOUR EPC RATING. Date of experience was in Dec 21 not as put. Since Thurrock council admitted to me in 2024 that I should not of been given this flat have not offered me anywhere else to live. I've now got housing dissrepair lawyers taking action against them as my property's deemed uninhabitable. Disgusting council so check your epc rating.

LAZY COUNCIL.
It is 6 weeks I guess since the grey bin collector have thrown my bin into the truck, being damaged at the lifting area and useless anymore, saying he will fill a form for a replace, confirming after a week that he filled the form at Thurrock Council to replace the damaged bin on Feenan Highway.
The Council didn't send yet a new bin. The bin collector told me after a month that I should call the Council and remind them...about my bin.

Where to start they failed to file my austisic son ehcp for a whole year we chased them..
Just to find out woman responsible left and just never bothered to do it .
Then would be us on council list we are a priority banding for 9 years now and seem to go further backwards on bidding list .
We have lied to palmed off repeatedly over complaints we made about our son and his .needs we pay council tax our tax im full time employment my wife works we pay our way best we can yet these just turn you away or lie at every opportunity They claimed they lost all his stuff at one point so we had copies sent them back over they did nothing with it .
Over the years this council fails every one or everything they do .

Most recent one is a email I received saying they had no.plans to cancel local elections. I fail to see how they can charge us money because they can't do the job they are paid to do they represent and look after themselves. Everyone knows they are corrupt democracy dodging lying dictators .who don't deserve to have jobs or any rigth or privileges , in roles supposedly serving the people of the surrounding area

How can they ever feel they are trustworthy they should be ashamed.

I have a email response where someone from your council was sure local elections would go ahead would be happy to show this

This council's room hire service at Thurrock Library is an absolute joke. We paid a week before using the room, sent 5 emails confirming payment and now, just before Christmas are being threatened with legal action. Honestly, don't book them, use a local community room instead.

My experience about Thurrock Council... I am so disappointing about Thurrock, You are on the Verge of the metropoly town, Everybody on this planet at least once in his life he will pronounce London on his lips. Heavy traffic, most of the time, horrible structures and buildings and roads and very, very, very, very dirty.
I hope that my small compensation that I make to you, will open your horizons and make you do something for this part of the city. I would love to say thank you for your service , but not thank you!!!!!!

I would give zero stars but that option is not available.
This council has been a basket case for decades, senior council officers and councillors not fit to run an ice cream van. They mislead and tell porkies and have got the council as the most indebted in Britain.
As a consequence council tax is up by 25% services are little or none existent. Avoid like the plague.

Their methods of obtaining council tax borderline extortion and intimidation you will receive a letter demanding payment and they don't accept nothing less they will immediately seek the courts and bailiffs to raise the costs these methods are the methods of a con merchant & people in this area have had enough

Charge a fortunate for council tax but the boroughs bin collection, street cleaning and every other service has been clawed back. Our council tax increased because they made a stupid decision? If you’re thinking about moving to Thurrock? I suggest you don’t.

I would like to thank the refuse collectors for the great job that they have done over the Christmas and new year.they cleared everything from our flats in Frobisher gardens RM16 6EY and we had lots of extra waste over this period.They always provide a good service.From all Frobisher flats thanks for the all year round service.Larry @95

They blatantly disregard pronouns and a toxic filthy little cesspool of homophobic transphobic muppets. But what does anyone expect from Thurrock.

Edit - they are still at it even past this review being posted. Blatantly disregarding the pronouns - LGBT need to realise what they are dealing with here.

Elmari Bishop is highly corrupt and attempts to take over the complaints team thus preventing a complaint from being lodged against her team telling lies and trying to avoid explaining them or being exposed over it, or having to take on any complaint she does not want to have to have done on her or the council. Marion Galanis is the one who avoids using pronouns then also avoids taking the complaint over it. They will also record calls of the public but use no recording statement and then continue having no recording statement long after you complained about it - so even the complaint they do take goes no where.

A year ago, my husband and I lived in a house where we were renting with my two children (one girl and one boy) and the owner wanted to sell the house and we had to leave the house but the properties were too expensive so normally my family did not want to give that kind of money, so we went to Thurrock Council homeless for help and as I gave my documents, I got homeless assistance that told me what documents I have to give so I did as told. As time goes on, he told me that I have to get sent a letter from court for eviction and after that they have to move us to another property but when we had to leave the property, they gave us a hotel for 10 days and the hotel is found to be a one hour ride with a car from my daughters school and after that they told us that they would call us to tell us where they would move us. But after all that fuss and stress my homeless assistant gave us an email to why he cannot and the government help us which led us on the street which is abnormal and disgusting since my daughter is going through so much stress and my son can still understand this situation but so young and innocent, ever since of this my family has gone even more downhill than ever before, I am disgusted and mortified by the council especially to my homeless assistant as what he and they did is unprofessional and completely disgusting, if your in this council I suggest to move to another council to prevent so many disgusting situations.

Since moving to every other week bin collections we have so far managed by taking excess rubbish to either of our parents who live in single occupancy households. This week we had 1 extra bin bag for the general waste. We had been told by others they don’t normally make such efforts as we do and leave an extra bin bag beside the bin and it’s collected. This week we did the same and the extra bin bag was not collected. Fuming comes to mind. Just do your job that you are paid for. If I did half my job at work I would be in trouble.

Absolutely abysmal service, rude when requesting help, a bankrupt and debt ridden council that is putting financial pressure on residents to make full council tax payments

They are like maggots, who will twist their way out of any situation by denying any wrong-doing, refusing to look at the evidence where there is any and will accuse you with the help of essex police of unsubstantiated things just to fob you off. Makes me wonder how they sleep at night. Ms. Kerry O'prey, there is a reason why your daughter got cancer and you obviously have not made any correct conclusions. Karma will visit you all...

The worst council I have ever had to deal with! Thurrock Council need intervention, its been three years and I have nothing good to say here. Waste services above anything else is just horrendous, it has been missed with schedule changes too many times I have lost count! Now we are dealing with a fortnightly collection, yet council tax has increased by 31.5%... Disgusting.

I’d rather not pay for bin collection and go to the tip myself, odd that they can pay £100k plus to leaders, what a joke council, at least dick Turpin wore a mask

The Council due to not being able to budget or invest has gone broke and is making its residents foot the bill by charging much more in Council Tax but then greatly reducing general bin collections to once fortnightly which will make Thurrock a cess pit but also charging £80 to collect garden waste. The leaders are inept and are using the residents to foot their mistakes quite unbelievable . All these so called Leaders should be sacked including two of the main culprits Andrew Jefferies and Deborah Arnold. How are they still employed. Absolute twits.
