Disappointing Service and Lack of Accountability

I cannot speak for other solicitors at Thompson & Jackson, but my experience with Daniel Richardson was extremely frustrating and costly. I hired him to handle the purchase of my flat, and the issues only became apparent when I was trying to sell it.

Daniel failed to identify several significant problems, including defective leases on the flat. He also neglected to request crucial reports, such as a fire safety report and an asbestos check. On top of that, he didn't secure indemnity insurance from the previous buyer, all of which led to three failed sales over the course of two years.

While Daniel did offer to pay for the necessary repairs, amended the lease afterward, and offered some support during my final sale, my frustrations grew when I asked for compensation for the legal fees I incurred due to the three failed sales. Rather than addressing the situation fairly, I was told I was accusing them of neglect, which wasn’t my intention at all. Sadly, no further assistance was offered.
