I booked a 9 day Nar Phu trek with Third Rock Adventures and appreciate the all inclusive trek at a good price. My guide Surya ensured I had the best transport, accommodation, and meals. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and enlightened me with stories, histories, and beliefs of the Buddhists. I would definitely book with Third Rock Adventures again.

Krishna was a wonderful guide. He took care of our large group and made each of us feel safe and special. The route was perfect for our abilities and Krishna made sure that we got through the toughest parts safely. He was funny, wise, strong and caring. We couldn’t have dreamed up a better guide.

If you are looking for a trekking guide in Nepal, this is the one! My experience with Third Rock was the best and my guide Arjun felt like a friend as he lead us on the ABC trek. Everyday he welcomed our trip with positivity, laughter, and thoughtfulness. He anticipated my every need and made sure I was safe and well cared for. He always brought a good attitude and ensured that I was feeling good too. There wasn’t a stranger on the trail to him, because everybody is his friend.

My guide ensured we ate at the best teahouses, slept at the best lodges, and met the best people. Additionally, when I booked the tour in Kathmandu, I was greeted by an exceptional team with Naba Raj. The service and professionalism was the best. I had many fellow trekkers say that “your guide is the best!” and I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Third Rock Adventures.

We had a great experience with this company and our guide Ram on our three weeks tour on the Annapurna base Camp trip and journey around Nepal including Lumbini and the Chitwan national park. Everything was perfectly organized for a very fair price. Ram was always very helpfull and has a lot of experience. We strongly recommend him and the company !!

The absolute best trip. Third Rock Adventures are just brilliant. Always accessible to answer questions, from Naba to Ujawal, the manger, nothing was too much to ask. Our EBC trip was made even more magical by our guide, Dharma. Patient,calm, funny, always willing to help, checking up on us constantly to make sure we were ok. Predicting the weather and making the right calls and being spot on. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide for our family. The porters, Tilak and Ajaya, employed by Third Rock Adventures were excellent and wonderful people. The city tour provided by Third Rock was just as excellent. Our guide Jaya so knowledgeable and interesting. I can’t recommend Third Rock Adventures enough. We will never use any other operator in Nepal. This trip (Ghandruk/Annapurna) was incredibly well managed. We didn't lack for a thing. The accommodations were wonderful, the food was great, the people were unbelievably kind. We adored our guide Krishna Tamang. His enthusiasm and attitude carried us through. The scenery was other worldly.

When four school friends living in different hemispheres and meeting after 40 years they wanted a special experience. All four had trekked and climbed in Nepal, some a few decades ago and we were seeking a well organised trip that would help us enjoy nature and bond. Third Rock Adventures who are well known to one of the group, was the ideal partner in Nepal. Right from picking us up in Kathmandu and putting us up in a comfortable, affordable and modern hotel (Shuvatara Suites & Spa) they organised a 9-day long trek to Annapurna Base Camp. The hotel in Kathmandu was in the Thamel area which has a lot of trekking equipment shops, curio shops, money changers, books shops and restaurants. Its central location

The trip included airport pickup, stay in Kathmandu, flights to Pokhara, Jeep to the trek starting point, accommodation along the way with meals, an excellent guide, and drop off back to Kathmandu airport. Weather can be very variable in the mountains and Third Rock Adventures has the relationships and contacts with local airlines and other providers to enable flexibility.

Our guide Rishi is very experienced and has been in the business for 25 years. We had two strong lads who were our porters and carried small packs ourselves. We stayed at very comfortable Teahouses along the journey that had beds that were two to a room and bathrooms. They also served a variety of good foods. We normally set off after a sumptuous breakfast at 7am and then stopped for lunch along the way after 3-4 hours of walking. Dinner was at 6.30pm and we turned in by 9pm for a 5.30am wake up. The trek was challenging with a lot of steps climbing up and down which we negotiated we and were thankful for excellent walking boots. We met lots of wonderful adventurers from different countries and of different ages. Whilst returning from the Base Camp, one of the group hurt his knee and Third Rock Adventures team organised a helicopter to take us back to Kathmandu, all organised at short notice and at a very reasonable price. This gave us an extra day in Kathmandu which the guide Rishi took us to Pashupati Temple, Boudanath stupa and to Darbar square (an absolute must). Rishi helped us with a bit of shopping and shared number of anecdotes / stories.

A very satisfying trek that exceeded our expectations. All this was enabled by Third Rock Adventures who were sensitive to our needs and totally trustworthy. We look forward to do more treks and trips with them.

I had a great experience with this agency. The owner, Naba, was extremely helpful and patient during the planning phase and while deciding which trek would suit me best. Since I only had a short amount of time, everything was carefully adapted to my wishes and to the weather conditions.

My guide Yadu was incredibly friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable — he seems to know every mountain peak and every plant along the trail. He was always attentive, offered different route options (shorter or longer), and made sure I was comfortable throughout the trek. On top of that, he took many great photos of me along the way, which I really appreciated.

I was completely satisfied and would definitely book with Third Rock again.

An incredible trip, the team was so accommodating and included everything that I wanted to see in Bhutan in a short space of time. The food experience and stays were excellent, and our tour guide Yonten an absolute legend, took care of the whole trip nicely! Would recommend it :)

We had a wonderful experience 5 days trekking to Mulde Viewpoint. Everything from booking our trip until returning to the hotel was very well organised! We travelled with our 3 young kids and it was our first trekking experience in the Himalayas (we have hiking/trekking experience before). Our guide and porter Yadu and Rashem were very helpful, positive and really made our trip easy and the one to remember! They were fantastic with kids, whom they treated like their own, helping them on a trek, carrying our youngest one and cheering on them along the way! They adjusted to our speed and we’re flexible which helped a lot to enjoy trekking as we didn’t rush when we were tired, etc! They also always booked great room for us and delicious meals! We are now back home, but remember Yadu and Rashem with warmth and would go back to Nepal in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for looking after us, guiding and being very kind! We will be back! I was recommended Third Rock Adventures by a friend and from day 1 the communication and booking process ran smoothly and seamlessly as Mr Naba is very professional and super quick at providing tailor-made quotes. As soon as I landed in Kathmandu, as well as throughout the whole adventure, I have never felt more taken care of, safe and protected. Everything was perfectly organised, to the last detail, so all I had to do was simply enjoy the Himalayan experience to the maximum. The thoughtfulness and kindness of the whole team was unmatched and truly touching. Special thank you to my guide Jaya and Vishnu for making this journey unforgettable! As we had to change the original plan due to bad weather conditions (beginning of January 2026) the alternative itinerary exceeded my expectations and allowed me to experience and see even more that I could ever imagine (including historical gem Ghandruk, beautiful hidden in the mountains teahouse in Tolka, picturesque mountains view point in Sargankot and, last but not least, sightseeing in culturally buzzing Pokhara)
I haven't left Nepal yet, but I know for sure I will be back soon for another trekking with Third Rock Adventures!

Gnawang and Somdey were the best!!! They were both very knowledgeable and extremely funny. Gnawang always went out of his way to help me out and always had answers for my many questions. Somdey was a great porter and very funny, the 3 of us had so much fun on the trail and come highly recommended!

I’m truly delighted to have accomplished this journey with Third Rock, who organized everything so flawlessly that we were free to simply open our eyes and soak in the majesty of these incredible mountains.

Our guide, Pawan, was wonderfully dedicated—helpful, upbeat, and quickly became a real part of our little team. His jokes, good spirit, and our nightly card games added an extra layer of joy to the adventure.

We were also supported throughout by our two porters, whose strength and commitment made the entire trek possible. We simply could not have done it without them.

We have had the most incredible past 3 and a half weeks , travelling up to the high Khumbu , Everest Base camp and some of the high passes . Many thanks to Naba at Third Rock who organised our journey so effortlessly and who managed to get much needed meds to me whilst we were in the mountains . Our guide , Pasang Tamang , guided us wisely in those high places with his decades of experience . We felt very safe in his hands . His knowledge of the culture and lives of people who call the Khumbu home made our journey so much richer . I would highly recommend Third Rock , Naba and Tamang . Thank you again .

We chose Third Rock on recommendation and because we were able to collaborate with Naba to add to the itinery to suit our needs.
The Manaslu and Tsum were a great introduction to the nepalese landscape, and our guide Surya gave us some interesting background to the cultural and religious history of the valleys. Despite the cyclone we were able to trek through the snow to Mo Gompa, our furthest point in the Tsum.
Unfortunately track damage, bad weather and closure in the Manaslu meant that we came out and were unable to complete the circuit. The team of Surya, Sagar, Ram and Lal were attentive, serious and looked after our wellbeing, keeping our spirits high despite the challenges we faced. We already plan to return to complete the circuit another time.
Third Rock excelled themselves, while we were trekking the management team were organising a trek to Ghandruk and Poon Hill. I enjoyed the new area, the geology is quite different and the views at daybreak on Poon Hill are breathtaking.
I would recommend Third Rock for their collaboration with clients, their excellent trekking teams and their team in Kathmandu who are ready to make changes if necessary.

We met Pasang from Third Rock in Phakding after starting our trek independently in Dhap. For the next 17d we had the most amazing time. Pasang was always highly organised, very caring & professional. His knowledge of all things Nepal, its wildlife & the people really enhanced our experience. Having Naba in KTH to help manage an illness in one of our group was extremely reassuring too. Had the most amazing experience with third rock adventures.
I booked the trip through Naba and he was quick to reply to my many messages and organised our whole trip from start to finish ,airport pick ups , hotels ,flights , helicopter around base camp and a day trip sightseeing around Kathmandu.

The Tamang Heritage Trail was a great. Wonderfull scenery, good accomodation and food. It was a wonerfull experience of the beautyfull country Nepal. Mera Peak Trek – October 2025
Our Mera Peak adventure with Third Rock Adventures was truly unforgettable. From the very first contact to the final farewell at the airport, everything was perfectly organized. Naba and his team managed every detail seamlessly—transfers, accommodation, domestic flights, and every stage of the trek—allowing us to fully enjoy the experience without any stress.

Our main guide, Lakpa Dorjee Sherpa, was exceptional—professional, experienced, and deeply knowledgeable about both the mountains and Sherpa culture. His calm leadership and expertise made us feel safe and inspired throughout the journey.

The trek itself was breathtaking—from lush forests and traditional villages to the high-altitude beauty of Khare, High Camp, and finally the summit of Mera Peak. The lodges were comfortable, the food varied and tasty, and the support team of porters went above and beyond every single day.

Amazing experience from planning to the finish. They became extended family. Always had a solution to everything and with a smile. We knew by the hour where we were at and how we were doing.
