Garbage Company/Garbage Customer Service

Do not waste your time and money on this horrible site. I tried more than once to get a premium membership and the site is unable to upload my resume without destroying all of the basic formatting. When you contact support, which is not US based, they do not know how to help you. Complete waste of time and money

Exceptional Customer Support and Outstanding Membership Value!

I recently had the pleasure of reactivating my premium membership with Ladders, and I am thoroughly impressed with the customer service provided. Charlyne Aban, a Customer Experience Advisor at Ladders, was particularly helpful, ensuring a smooth transaction and updating me promptly on the rebate processing. I was delighted to find that my membership was reactivated at a nominal fee of only $0.97 due to a rebate, which added immense value to the service.

Ladders also reminded me of my next renewal date and clearly explained how to manage my subscription settings—a small yet significant detail that enhances user experience. Their continuous efforts to improve their services, like the Apply4Me feature which saves time on job applications, demonstrate their commitment to user satisfaction.

Overall, the customer support at Ladders goes above and beyond to ensure that members like myself feel valued and informed. Highly recommend for anyone looking to streamline their job search with top-notch resources and support!

Theladdersindia.in website is a scam

Theladdersindia.in website is a scam. Do not fall prey to this recruitment firm. First one person will call you and say you have to pay only 1 time registration fees and then they will help you with the interviews. Once you pay the registration amount then they will contact you with a relationship manager and then he/she will ask you to make further payments and you will keep on paying and no interview will be scheduled until you realize you are trapped. They will never refund you and will not attend your calls once they receive the money. You can verify the website with lawyers legally.
I paid only the registration amount thinking it like a naukri website service and then after talking to relationship manger I asked for refund but no one picking calls. I tried to follow up to an extent but all in vain. I believe cheated amount cannot do good to anyone and it was just registration amount.
Note: No company recruiters will actually ask money to conduct any interview or give you an offer. There may be a delay but please have patience and faith. These scam recruitment firms only play with your emotions. Satark rahe savdhaan rahe.

The Ladders is a scam

The Ladders is a scam. They post "jobs" on sites only to direct you to The Ladders to pay to sign up. Then the "jobs" are never there that you were interested in.
Don't waste your time, effort, or money.
SPOILER: if the job, especially the pay, seems too good to be true, it is.

Poor Search

The resume review in the software filter was beneficial however the job search was terrible. A search with variations in titles was yielded virtually no results even similar to what I put i.e I search "investigator" and I get results for academic researcher. It would appear there are no jobs for what I'm looking for but when I do the same search in Google or LinkedIn, I find hundreds. The quick apply element they heavily advertise isn't worth it when less than 1% of the posted jobs show up in their search.

Beware: there's a limit on how many applications you can submit

I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because I found their complementary resume critique to be useful. However, overall, I'm disappointed with the Ladders because they failed to advertise that their "apply for me" chrome plug-in is only good for 50 job applications per month. I purchased a three month subscription thinking, "Great! This is going to free up so much time to focus on other tasks, now that I don't have to manually enter details into every individual Workday, etc. page." To me, that made it worth the money, even though the Ladders' native job search portal is woefully behind, often serving up "new" openings for jobs that have already closed.

Imagine how frustrated I was to find out I had used up all my month's applications in only a couple of days! When I received the message from them that I was out of "apply for me" credits, I sent them a note through their help portal explaining that I wasn't aware there was a limit. I asked if they could reset me, explaining that I would be more selective on who I applied through them over the rest of my subscription.

They responded, informing me of the details of their 50 application limit, and asking if they could do anything for me. I asked for a refund, to which they responded:

Hi Leslea,

Thank you for writing back!

The Apply4Me is an added benefit to your Premium feature designed to streamline your job application process and help you save valuable time.

As advertised on both the Apply4me page and on the member help page, you can submit up to 50 applications per month cycle. (Unsuccessful applications are not counted against your limit).

Even if you've used all your application tokens, you can still apply independently by clicking the "Apply" button on Job Description pages.

We understand that you've already used 50 of your application submissions, which cannot be retracted.

Your insights are incredibly valuable, and I want to assure you that we take them seriously.

While we regret that we cannot offer a full refund for your payment, we want to extend two options for your consideration:

Shorten Your Plan to 1 Month:
We can shorten your plan and refund the difference so that you’ve only paid $49.97 for a 1-month membership. Plus, apply a $49 discount on your next renewal so you will only be charged $0.97 on June 15, 2024.

OR

Keep Your 3 Month Membership:
If you decide to keep your 3 Month membership, we can offer you a $50 discount for the next renewal.

Please let me know if there is anything else we can help with!

I replied that had it been advertised, then I would have seen it. I received this response:

Hi Leslea,

Thank you for writing back!

The limit is advertised on the same page where you answered the 18 questions for Apply4me:

{trustpilot does not allow links}

We have a dedicated team of real humans that manually fills out your application, and we have successfully submitted 50 of them.

We value your membership and are dedicated to resolving any issues you may have encountered with our service.

If there are specific issues behind your request, we'd like to address them directly for a satisfactory solution.

Please let me know if there is anything else we can help with!

Regards,

If you click on the link Monica sent, you will not see the number "fifty" or "50" anywhere on it. We all know that numbers jump off the page at us. If you go out of your way to search for where they might have a limit on applications, then you will find it hidden in the middle of their FAQ, but I do not make it a habit of looking into limits of a program before I buy it. I assume when someone is selling a service such as a plug-in for my browser, there is going to be clearly advertised limits to it, if they exist at all.

I responded to Monica's email by attaching screen shots of the page she sent me to, asking her to show me where exactly it says "fifty" or "50" on that page.

That was three days ago and I did not receive a reply.

Upon reflection, I believe I made a reasonable request for a one-time reset, and I'm disappointed that I have to write this review (and copy it to other sites) to warn others off. I'm not out a lot of money for this subscription, but I am out so much TIME that they dishonestly promised. As most people know, a job search is an ongoing project, and you need to stay on it--not do it in a burst of 50 applications and then wait a month.

I would be amenable to either a full refund, or a reset of this month's "apply for me" credits. I would encourage this website to make it impossible to miss that there is a 50-application limit on their plug-in, if they want to grow their business and receive positive reviews.

I paid for the premium service for 3…

I paid for the premium service for 3 months to get access to their job offerings and their Apply4Me service. Used the service to apply for 220 jobs that I was qualified for. I have not had a single interview in 3 months. Used TheLadders.com back in 2008 and had success, now it's just a job board with jobs you can find elsewhere and apply to. Nothing like it was then. The Apply4Me service is not worth the money.

And their support which is handled by LiveChat (livechat.com/) just spits out canned responses. If my support team ever handled issues like this they would be getting a Performance Improvement plan tomorrow.

It’s a pay to apply job site

It’s a pay to apply job site. Total scam site. They charge extra for their Apply4ME feature which I found out they are not actually sending my personal information. It says the applicant is using the automated application fill in feature, contact applicant for more info. I never received one single call for an interview. I’m a professional with two master degrees and 16 years experience! Also, they have a resume service which is also a rip off. Top Resume is affiliated with Ladders, I signed up and a month later they had not even assigned me to a writer. When I tried to cancel they tried to refuse to cancel. Had to get my bank involved. The 4 star reviews here are suspicious, notice most encourage you to sign up for premium?

Charlyne Aban is fantastic at her job!

Charlyne was responsive, professional and very knowledgeable! I did not expect her to know or understand the industry (medical device regulatory affairs) I was trying to access, but she understood immediately my issue, found a solution which she relayed to me in a manner easy to follow and she sent me a list of jobs to consider.

Thank you so much, Charlyne, for the very positive experience with customer support and with Ladders!

Great customer service

I had very little information to offer Monica and she had to search a large database to find my husband’s account. Monica is an excellent communicator and was diligent in resolving our problem favorably. Thanks for hiring the best!
