Did no real work

Did no real work. My bank contacted me directly. Yet the “fair “ trade practice still insisted on a commission.

Hello Carlton, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback.
From looking at your file I can see that we processed a number of claims for you, one of which was found to have PPI attached.
This claim was for an account which you did not originally inform us of, and was in fact only picked up as a result of our checking service.
After speaking with you to determine the circumstances of the PPI sale we then submitted a complaint on your behalf, and indeed re-submitted the complaint when we received no response from the lender, and were ultimately successful in helping you receive an offer of compensation. We then sent you an invoice for our work, as per our terms and conditions.
We’re sorry your experience with us was not what you expected, but we thank you for settling the invoice and wish you all the best for the future.
Kind regards,
The Fair Trade Practice

No win but FEES!

Supposedly I have a sucessful claim but as yet have received nothing from the lender. Nevertheless FTP have invoiced me and keep chasing the invoice and are now threatening debt collection for monies to which they are not entitled!

Hello Jim, thank you for your feedback and for providing those additional details so we could locate your file.
Your lender requires you to return a signed acceptance form to be able to release your funds, as stated in their offer letter dated 28th May. Our Collections team have been trying to discuss this with you since, but have not been able to speak with you over the phone or by text message.
A new acceptance form will be sent out to you following your review comments above, and we have amended your file so you will not receive any further invoice communications from us for 28 days. A member of the team will also reach out to you soon to discuss your case further and see if you need any additional support.
Kind regards,
The Fair Trade Practice

Read the T&Cs

Read the T&Cs

Save your time and money and just spam any company you think you may have dealt with, as this is what they do. Once we discovered we had an award, we had to pester them every step of the way, and even resorted to contacting companies directly to provide detail as the information provided by FTP was was not sufficient.

We were lucky enough to have an award, and FTP were very quick to call to settle our bill. This, for information, is 24% of the total award BEFORE income tax is taken not after btw. We were not made aware of this at the start, however directed to this afterwards - so read the T&Cs people.

2 stars as the staff are pleasant enough, however the organisation is pretty ineffective and they need to be clearer about their charges.

I have waited 4 Years for this shower to send me the letter from the bank

My advice, Go to the Bank in person and get their PPI Forms from them, its what these people do, no bills, no small print and no dimwit at the end of the phone!

Plus you keep 100% of the Claim.

I have waited 4 Years for this shower to send me the letter from the bank, the letter had a Form with it, that the bank needed.

4 Years 4 different People all asked for the same thing and all failed.

I finally received the Bank's Letter after telling them they can shove their Bill.

I filled in the form, took 30 mins and now the bank are processing the claim. So 4 Years and 30 Mins.

Nice going Unfair Trade Practice.

Also watch out for the small print. If you decide you do not wish to go forward with your PPI Claim then they bill you, in my case they wanted over £400 from me for a few letters and emails!

Dodgy as a 6 quid note, don't listen to the spiel from the Staff, it sounds amazing, but they don't mention the charges and final bill at all.

Do read the small print and if you contact them, remember the staff are really slow and you will need to break down your request.

Like I say I asked for the Bank's Letter 4 times and 4 fails, they sent me their own letters and no form!!! Oh and when I pointed this out... No apology.

Zero stars for Fair Trade Practice

I made an error in judgement using this poor organisation.I really wish I had gone to a more reputable company. They completely failed to win my PPI claim and did not follow up on the findings for the supplier which was full of inaccuracies.
I now have to take it forward myself and wish I had done in the first place as my experience with them was terrible.
I have only given this 1 star as there wasn't an option to give 0.

Sting in the tail

Hello, I found them friendly and nice. But be aware if you are seeking refunds for a PBA (packaged bank account) they take their share plus VAT from the gross amount they claimed from the bank. In my case Lloyds. In effect the money they wanted back from me was more than 36% or the net amount I received so on the net amount it was almost 50% of the claim. Just be wary. It's not clear enough in the terms and conditions online that they count the GROSS amount from the claim. You will lose HMRC tax, 20% VAT and their 30% + share.

Brilliant service

In all honesty I didn’t think I would get anything because of no paperwork, a poor memory but your team certainly worked hard and because of that I was able to buy my electric bike which has helped me through the lockdown. So a huge thank you

Delighted, glad I gave them a chance.

A friend referred this company to me on Facebook. He insisted they were different to other PPI companies and that I should give them a go. I had already made successful claims myself against a couple of lenders I'd had dealings with in the past and suspected there might be a few others but I wasn't sure. TFTP took some very vague info from me and somehow managed to convert it into an offer from a lender of several thousand pounds. I doubt I would have had the confidence to do this myself, such was the lack of specific information I had relating to this lender. Once the process was started, TFTP were in contact frequently with phone calls and emails. Dare I say the process is quite repetitive, perhaps even frustrating. You answer the same questions over and over again before signing and returning the same forms for each loan with each lender. That's what they have to do. If I'm honest, after a couple of months, I got a bit weary of the phone calls. I may even have avoided a few and began to lose heart as claim after claim came back unsuccessful. Then, completely out of the blue, one was successful! I was more than happy to pay TFTP their cut - IMHO, they worked hard for it and deserved it. You don't have to pay them until you receive your cash from the lender, however long that takes. At the end of it all, I was left with a substantial sum of money I wouldn't have claimed myself. TFTP are still pursuing a few more claims on my behalf. Edit: Since writing this review, TFTP have won a further 2 claims for me. Couldn't be more grateful to them.

Crap

Crap, told them i had claimed before but they said its fine they will check all. Told me Barclaycard have admitted to PPI and I would get money back and also Egg. Time on the phone and filling forms out sending them back. Was waiting to get a refund and yesterday got an e-mail to say case closed with no information. Phoned to ask why and was told because I had claimed before in 2015 they cant do anything more. Basically what I said in the first place but they told me it didnt matter!! Complete waist of time, DO NOT USE

Excellent service.

The Fair Trade Practice were very efficient and kept me very well informed of the progress of my claims. Their website allows me to check all details of my claims at will and is a great tool.
I for one am very happy with the service they provided and the results they achieved on my behalf, results I would not have got around to achieving without their help.

Definitely worth a bottle of gin thank you to the friend who recommended The Fair Trade Practice to me.

When Jackie from the Fair Trade Practice told me how much they had gained for me I was glad I was sitting down. Even so I had to ask her to repeat it a couple of times. It’s not an exaggeration to say the amount is life changing. And they made the whole process so easy - step-by-step. My friend recommended them to me and though she got a reward/voucher from the Fair Trade Practice, she also got a very good bottle of gin from me - best recommendation I’ve ever had.
Thank you to all at the Fair Trade Practice.
