Order Dining table with matching sideboard and chairs. The chairs are not as described and area bluey black colour and i told assistant i jet black chairs so I never paid the full balance as the chairs are not what I wanted. Management wont cancel that part of order and are telling me they won't deliver the table and sideboard until I pay for the chairs. Was also not made aware until after I paid deposit that they do not offer refunds and it is store credit only. What good is telling u that after u place an order. Customer service very unhelpful and won't budge. Shocking service will not be back.
25.02 update after Designer rooms commented. Yes I received terms and conditions 'AFTER THE PURCHASE WAS MADE' at no point were these advised to myself or others as I can see on reviews on here before I bought the goods. A also advised I had not paid the balance for the chairs so why can't they be taken off order as not paid yet but you also refused telling me I need to pay £833 for chairs that are not colour I asked for and the ul give me a credit note. And you think this is good customer service. You want me to pay for chairs that are wrong colour and then give me credit note.

Please do not shop here!! I purchased a several items from designer room in silverburn August 2025. The start of December dining room table and chairs delivered. The table to this day is still in pieces on the floor. They didn’t send right parts for it to be assembled! Christmas dinner etc was on our laps. We also ordered a bed which frame was too big for mattress and support underneath. The bed gave way after a week and metal corners completely bent. As a result no bed to sleep in and no table to eat at!! Shop anywhere else!! There’s now been 40 emails back and forth after arguing with me I’m NOT entitled to my money back for FAULTY goods due to store policy! THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW! Do not let them tell you not entitled to your money back for faulty goods! Consumer act 2005 states this! To be continued.. ALWAYS PAY WITH CREDIT CARD! AFTERCARE Customer service is WATSAPP AND EMAIL ONLY!! THE BED IS STILL LYING IN PIECES 7 weeks later!! NO NEW SLATS WERE Provided because you told me I was wrong until when? Oh yes we fell through the bed!!!! Thanks we get to sleep on the floor until you guys decide to come pick up your faulty bed and I await my refund!! Absolute joke!!

Awful experience. Our dining table was supposed to arrive late October after months of waiting and got delayed to December 15th. The item didn’t actually arrive to a couple days before Christmas and arrived faulty with a huge deep crack in it. Company repeatedly were not helpful and blamed it on natural marble when it is a clear crack not natural veining, and having spent a lot of money it’s been a lot of unnecessary stress. Responses have been blunt and lacking any sort of responsibility and compassion as a retailer. AVOID!!!
Edit: in regards to the response a fissure doesn’t have an edge or catch when you touch it which this certainly does and every single person I’ve shown except designer rooms has agreed with this. This response is exactly what I mean in terms of lacking any customer service.

Like designer rooms as products are usually good quality and priced well, however ordering our new sofa was pretty chaotic process and could be improved, both for us and the lovely staff.
Product info sheet littered with errors, asked to order sofa from this to find lots of issues. It states choose cushion colours, you cant do this. It states no deposit, I was then asked to pay £600. Then store unable to take AMEX…..
Internet in store a big issue, drops out and leaves staff unable to finish a sale, after already spending about an hour in store i was asked to come back another day to complete the finance, im not sure this is a great system to take a hefty deposit one day before securing finance for customers.
I was asked to sit behing the sales desk to complete sale due to internet issues I imagine. This was noisy and chaotic and definetely not a lovely image to complete a sale in.
Staff seemed under a lot odf time pressure and therefore were dodging between multiple customers, leaving lengthy delays and not being forthcoming with facts such as order lag times etc unless soecifically asked while hurriedly putting the sale through.
All in all lovely staff and good items but a process that could be much improved.

Emailed this company to cancel an order and told no sorry they do not have a cancellation policy so I emailed them back and informed them that I would like to return an order that I have received yet only to be told they don't have a returns policy and then said I would loose all money paid. Really that was over £600. What a SHAM company. Paid for the order in October and still don't have my items. SHAME ON YOU DESIGNER ROOM. I have been asked to place this review on behalf of the person that placed the order. The Designer Rooms have their details.

I recently placed a deposit on several ex-display furniture items. Upon returning to the store 3 days later, to purchase additional items, I discovered that one item I had paid a deposit for was significantly scratched.
Upon noticing this damage, I requested to cancel only that one item from my order. To my astonishment, my request was refused. I was informed that 'ex-display' is supposedly a code for items being non-refundable and that cancellations are not permitted. This policy was never explained to me at the time of placing my deposit. I was not advised to thoroughly inspect or photograph the item, nor were there any visible signs in the store stating 'sold as seen'.
I am extremely concerned that I have no means of proving whether this damage occurred before or after I paid my deposit, as it has been three days since the transaction. The lack of transparency and clear communication regarding non-refundable terms is deeply troubling. As a customer, I expect to be fully informed of all relevant terms and conditions prior to any financial commitment. I was given NO indication whatsoever of this policy prior to paying my deposit, nor was I given sight of a receipt with the terms and conditions printed on it, albeit in a very vague fashion, until AFTER I'd paid my deposit.

The staff in this store are fantastic but unfortunately this is not the case in the Kilmarnock store I went in to pay my balance today and have never felt so uncomfortable it has put me off buying anything else from them especially when I was told I could have got it cheaper there than in silverburn which was not the case and this was the manager I belive
