We'd had a large number of Theatre Tokens in a drawer which we'd never got round to using. Following guidance on their website I was able to register many to my account but was left with 9 that I couldn't due to no PIN. I emailed customer services with copies of the tokens asking for help to avoid losing over £200.00. Within about 30 minutes I received a most helpful and informative reply from Henry Dickinson, Customer Services and Operations Associate which reassured me that the tokens are still valid and how to proceed. I am most impressed and grateful for the first class advice and service that I received from Henry and wish that more organisations that I deal with could match it.

If you are trying to book tickets using a pre-paid Theatre Token, beware of ATG's premium-rate phone trap.
Our journey started on their official website, which completely lacks the basic digital functionality to accept Theatre Tokens at checkout. This forces voucher holders offline to complete their booking.
While trying to find the Box Office number to redeem our £100 voucher, we found 0844 871 3000—a number actively operated by ATG and widely published online for venues like the Savoy and the Lyceum.
Here is the trap: When you call this active ATG line, it connects you directly to their booking staff. However, it plays NO automated pricing warning, nor does it play a message telling you to hang up and dial their standard-rate 0333 number instead. They just drop you straight into a 30-minute holding queue. By the time our tickets were booked, we had been charged £31.89 in premium-rate access and service charges just to use a gift voucher.
When we raised this to their Customer Service team (an agent named Sean), the response was appalling. Instead of acknowledging that they operate an active premium line without an upfront warning, they blamed us for not digging through their Help Centre to find the alternative 0333 number, and flatly refused to refund the £31.89.
This is a classic "Dark Pattern." They force you offline because of their broken digital checkout, keep a premium-rate line active that routes directly to their staff, fail to put a cost warning on the line, and then keep the revenue when you inevitably fall into the queue.
They are operating revenue protection, not customer service. Do not trust them. We have now escalated this to STAR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) and reported the lack of phone pricing warnings to Trading Standards and Ofcom.

My query was dealt with very promptly and efficiently, very impressed.

I was trying to use two theatre tokens but when I tried to reveal the pin it didn’t come off very well and I couldn’t read the PIN numbers. I emailed Theatre Tokens and in less than fifteen minutes they had replied to me and reissued my tokens as an egift. I was incredibly impressed by the prompt resolution to my query, particularly as it was close to the end of their working day and I hadn’t expected to receive a reply until at least the next day.

I have used Theatre Tokens for years as presents and receiving presents. It’s a great voucher to give and receive. Recently I registered a new voucher and realised I had some vouchers from 7years ago unused. These were reissued within 10 min of the request. Very pleased

Theatre tokens make a great gift and can be delivered at the last minute as an e-gift, which is a great help if, like me, you don’t always get organised in advance!
On this occasion the gift did not arrive as it should have but a quick message to Theatre Tokens was all it took to resolve the situation and the gift arrived safely. I was impressed with the immediate response from Henry and was very grateful for the immediate attention my request received. Thank you!

I recently bought theatre vouchers and requested for them to be sent via Royal Mail. However, 9 days later they still had not arrived and the birthday they were for was rapidly approaching. I contacted customer service and was very quickly and professionally looked after by Kay. She apologised and explained that Royal Mail have been underperforming significantly and that she would immediately send me an electronic voucher to replace the one that had been posted, to ensure I had it in time for my gift.

Superb customer service from Kay. I found some very old certificates and emailed to ask whether they were still valid - within a few hours I had new electronic codes in my email. Can't fault it!

I had originally registered my theatre token when I received it for my birthday two years ago. What I didn't realise was that I needed to keep the original e-mail.
However, I requested to have the e-mail found again for me and within a working day I received it and can now happily spend it.
Amazing customer service!

I was unsure if the paper vouchers I had (10+years old) were still valid so I reached out to Theatre Tokens not expecting much of a response and certainly not quickly. I was pleasantly surprised when I had a reply within a day and the whole process was exceptionally easy and smooth. I uploaded a scan of the vouchers and by return Theatre Tokens had sent me a replacement e-Voucher, which I have just put towards tickets to see the Lion King. Kay was really helpful and kind and I would certainly recommend using Theatre Tokens as they do not expire and you can use them for so many theatres and productions. They make an excellent gift as the recipient can choose what they'd like to see and they do not need to rush to make a decision! Thanks again.

I had mislaid my Theatre token and contacted Theatre Tokens and within a couple of hours they had replaced it. Very impressed.

I recently found £50 of paper tokens from 2000 in my late Mother's house. Following my enquiry and uploaded photos, I received a fast and speedy response from Kay, and the e-voucher appeared in my inbox later the same day! Excellent service, thank you, and the website FAQ is very helpful.

Excellent experience with Theatre Tokens. I found 22yr old vouchers and thought they must have expired. However, a quick email and fantastic customer service now means I have £120 worth of vouchers to use! Really great support and very quick to respond and help. Brilliant! Can't wait to use my vouchers 😁

I have been given and gifted theatre tokens in the past and have been able to use them without any concerns, and now the customer service team have come up trumps for me, well done all.

I’ve bought these tokens a number of times and they make a great gift. Recently I lost my voucher after it had been send out, but got in touch via email and within an hour had a new code and all was sorted. Great service and would thoroughly recommend.

My query (about replacing old paper Theatre Tokens with new e-vouchers) was dealt with very quickly and efficiently by Kay, with the new voucher being sent within 24 hours of my initial enquiry. Many thanks!

Swift response to my request for help after I obliterated the PIN on my Theatre Token leaving me unable to book the tickets I wanted. A replacement eGift Token was emailed to me first thing the following morning.

I get theatre tokens as presents all the time and love them as presents. I had lots of paper tokens and I emailed the help team to see if they could be combined. I received an email and email the next day and within a day, they had combined my tokens and put them in an e-voucher so that I could use them online. Kay dealt with my issue and was prompt, polite and very helpful!

I have lost the gift voucher which I had previously registered and so was unable to login to use it. My problem was resolved via e-mail exchanges which were very helpful and friendly.
