Incorrect Structural engineer info

The engineer visited the property. A really nice guy and helpful. Unfortunately he gave incorrect information which means I have to pay a substantial amount more to get the work finishes. New steal, Bulk head for the stairs needs to stay so less space and more. Another engineer from the same company came to visit the property and agreed it was incorrect info given.
We wouldn't have gone ahead with the work if we knew all of this. They wouldn't even give a part refund to help out with the extra work.
